This place reminds me of a modern Mexican cantina. I feel that the food was cocaine crazy good and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Service was equally impressive with the waitress letting me know what she thought was too hot/spicy and what might be a better fit. I went with a dining buddy that didn't find fault with the place. Right now the menu is limited to 3 main food choices: tacos, burritos and bowls. Flat pricing menu makes it easy to pick and choose. Keep in mind that they have Asian plates as well but limited compared to the Mexican side of things. Street parking only. You can sit inside (limited to bar and about 12-16 seats) or outside on the terrace on a nice day/night. I told my friend that it's regaining my confidence in the downtown Hollywood dining scene. Would like to see a Miami location and would like to see more vegetarian/vegan options. This really is a great little spot, make sure you stop by. read more

I just absolutely love the food here. Hands down best Wakame Seaweed set up I've ever had (I know its just seaweed, but they just don't right - Avocado & Cucumber ontop). Short rib taco is awesome. The Tuna Cruda is great and always super fresh. The menu is just simple and straight forward. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful. I remember when they were in the Farmers Market, I would look forward to the weekends just to visit Oaxaca. Now they have a brick and mortar place so ppl can enjoy more often. Boom! I love Oaxaka! This tiny restaurant is amazing. This new, minimal-modern setting of black & white contrasts serves up delicious Mexican-Asian fusion food. Everything was delish. We didn't even take pics because the food was devoured at the airport. Everything was fresh and delish. We had the cheese quesadilla with guacamole on the side, carnitas tacos, pollo rice/beans bowl and pollo salad bowl. The jalapeño tomatillo sauce is spicy and SOOO good. Definitely recommend. The food is very flavorful and the portions are surprisingly filling but they do not have a large variety of options nor do they serve your typical Mexican restaurant food or drink items. I visited Fort Lauderdale for a wedding and although I only had half a day to enjoy the city, I loved this resturant! It is located inside of the farmers market and as you are waiting for the food, you can enjoy shopping at other stores or buy coffee or tea or lemonades from other stores. I ordered tuna nachos with carnitas burrito. We also ordered some chips and gucamole and the gucamole were made fresh right at the spot. I really enjoyed tuna nachos even though I was expecting much when I ordered it. The nachos had freshly made tuna with little bit of apice to it. My family really enjoyed it. The burrito was a big portion that I had to take it togo on my flight and it was filling to my stomach. And I didnt eat prior to this. read more

This place is a great addition to downtown Hollywood. The beers and some of the tacos are on special on Tuesdays. We had the pork taco and the chicken bowl. Both were good, though the taco wasn't as good as those at Taco Beach Shack. We also had their homemade guacamole and chips. Both good. First time at Oaxaca today. Had carnitas and beef short rib tacos. Both very good, especially with their sauces; hot and/or cream. My only complaint was a small menu with not much seafood offered. Only yellowfin tuna, presumably uncooked ceviche style. Would have liked some shrimp, scallop, calamari, or other fish. Also, not sure this is a chronic problem, but found a few flies (tiny flea size) landing in my food while I was seated next to the front door. Came by Oaxaka on a taco Tuesday afternoon with my mother. It was $3 tacos and $4 beers. Before coming I checked the reviews, which I always do being a NewYorker and so happy I decided to give this place a chance. As soon as you walk up, you get this cute outside seating beach bar feel, where the windows opens up. In the inside, very chic and modern from the hanging lights, open kitchen area and many details that was really well thought out. you really get that modern Asian fusion vibe. We were greeted by the owner and he explained the menu, which I have already known since I called in advance and spoke to his wife (which I later found out)- she recognized my voice over the phone. The couple themselves are very down to earth and comforting- which is always a plus in my books! Now for the food- I ordered the pork/chicken tacos- they also have vegan options )Mexican style-(corn tortilla, onions, and cilantro) which you can choose to have it spicy or mild, spicy sauce comes on the side, which I ordered and what makes these taco POP! and boy I'm a hard critic when it comes to tacos - being from Queens,NY the sauce that come with the tacos, one was a homemade sour cream with herbs and the second was a homemade sun dried tomato with spices. My goodness it was yummy! The beers selection which was all very familiar- had some of my fav Asian beers , Sapporo, Asahi, and I ordered the Tsingtao. Great new lil hit spot inside Yellow Green Farmers Market. I'm always in the search for a good taco. I'm sure glad I decided to take a chance and try this place. While my husband and son got lost in the farmers market maze I found myself in front of Oaxaka. I decided to just go for it. Hoping to not be disappointed. When I first approached it the owner greeted me with a friendly smile. I noticed their menu had Mexican Asian fusion on it. He explained that some of their items on the menu had some variation to them such as adding kimchee. I will have to try them next time. What caught my eye was the short rib taco. He described that it was marinated and slow cooked for 14 hours with negra modelo. He then proceeded to give me a taste. Immediately I could taste the beer and it was perfectly balanced with all the other ingredients including a subtle lil kick of chipotle. Loved it! I was delightfully surprised when they gave me a taste of the chicken and it was delicious. I love chicken but hardly ever order it at Mexican places because most of the time they boil their chicken and I'm not a fan of boiled chicken. Well here they actually grilled it right outside their post. What makes this chicken great is their seasoning. It reminded me of my old neighborhood butcher shop where I grew up in East Los Angeles. I ended up ordering three tacos, 1 short rib and 2 chicken. They were adorned with cilantro, onion and cheese. They included 2 sauces which were also very good. Cesar and Ann who definitely have a great spot here. I will be coming back every weekend to try something new. Hope to eventually have Oaxaka as a restaurant. read more

HOLY HANNAH! I could not believe this was tucked in to the Yellow and Green market! What a fun and delicious idea. I personally LOVE Mexican and Asian so this is my calling. We got the tuns a avocado tower with a burrito. Both were incredible and the staff was wonderful. This is the perfect spot to take a break after getting your fresh produce.
