As usual Weiss is always professional and does top notch work. He has been taking care of my 2011 KIA Forte ever since I bought my car in 2017. Recently a light had come on indicating the seatbelt had to be repaired because there was something wrong with it. I cannot remember what it was called, but anyway Weiss was able to fix it for reasonable price. I also did my usual oil change and had to replace the right rear tail light. I don't know very much about car technology, so I had to rely on the owner, Waiss, to explain to me what I needed to have done to my car to make it "road ready". The front tires were going bald just on the outer section of the treads, which is all I understood. So he explained to me that I definitely needed an alignment and new tires in the front. Wais was very friendly and explained everything to me so that I understood why I needed new tires. I also needed an oil change, since I explained to him that it had been about 12,000 since I had the last one. And his mechanic went over the brakes and other things and nothing else was needed. The prices we're reasonable, as I checked online. All in all I had a very good experience and will definitely recommend OC Auto Care to anyone I know who needs to have work done on their car. Upon paying the invoice in good faith, I noticed my tires/wheels were in the exact same position as when I dropped the car off - indicating the tire rotation had not been done. As a Challenger enthusiast, and a fanatic about my car, I know every mark and scratch on the wheels, and where those scratches originated. Every visible sign of my wheels indicated OC Auto Care had done nothing. After asking the business owner what occurred, he barked at me like some loud old cantankerous crow who had obviously grown bitter from his 48 years of ownership. I've been here 3 times recently and I have no complaints. Oh, except that it's not an easy place to find and I didn't know what to do with my car the first time I came (protip: drive the car up the small alley right up to their shopfront. The desk is on the far left side.) Oh, I guess they can be a little brusque (particularly on the phone). OTHER THAN THAT, I've loved bringing my car here. The first time I just asked for an oil change and tire rotation; their price was half of Honda's. I also asked them to check my power steering because I was having a lot of trouble. They told me my PS was leaking and that my rear brakes were close to worn, BUT they didn't push me to fix it right away like any other car salesman. They let me choose another day if I wanted to. The next week I brought my car in to replace the PS pump and rear brakes. They suggested replacing the rotors as well, and I wasn't sure if they were trying to upsell me or something. My first experience with them was good so I went with it. He looked up the price for the part right in front of me, looking for a less expensive part, and gave me the quote right there. When I came to pick up the car 1) they guy had me drive the car with him to ensure the steering was fixed, 2) told me that the sound in my car WASN'T the PS (as I thought might be the case since my steering was difficult), but was the alternator, 3) gave me other general advice for a car my age (2003 accord), 4) showed me my old rotors, suggesting they might be the same ones sold with the car (!!). A month later, yesterday, I got my alternator fixed. Not cheap operations, but these guys are trustworthy. read more

Since tiring of overpaying the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations, I hunted yelp for all the best mechanics and OC Auto Care came highly recommended! They really take ownership of the vehicles they fix and treat everyone like family. Which is coincidental because they are a Father and Son who run the business and work on the cars. Their prices are competitive and the quality of work is good. Their time estimates are spot on and there is a Starbucks within walking distance if you need somewhere to work remotely. Of course you can always hang out in their lobby. You can tell its a cool place because their coffee table is actually an engine block with a glass top. To top it off, they always offer me a beverage while I wait from their ice cold refrigerator that is built into their counter. So far I have come here for multiple oil changes, coolant services and now to get the brakes replaced on my Prius. I'm back. This time for something far more extensive. My Mazda dealership told me that, in order to fix my oil leak, I need extensive work including replacing my oil pan (which means lifting the engine). Since my dealership has led me astray before on a major repair, I decided to head elsewhere for a second opinion. Thank goodness I did. The $1300 quote from Mazda turned into a $130 quote from OC Auto Care. I won't bore you with details other than to say that, clearly, OC Auto Care is interested in repairing my car properly and as inexpensively as possible. They value customer trust and loyalty. Let me repeat that because you might not believe what you read: This place values customer trust and understands how to earn it. As they gained my respect, I asked them to go ahead and fix my window, which would not roll down. The obvious reason to most anyone, when an automatic window won't go down, is that the regulator is broken, so, under that assumption, OC quoted me $200 for the part. I agreed. The next day, they called to tell me that, after removing the door panel, they found that it was not a broken regulator, but instead a much less expensive problem (broken switch); I am certain that my dealership would have pocketed the extra cash rather than telling me I owed less than I had expected & agreed to. I don't know why I would ever take my car anywhere else but OC Auto in the future. I could kick myself for going to my Mazda dealership for so many years; I guess I'm a slow learner. read more

I'll start by saying that I feel like Waise is "too" honest lol. He does a great job at what he does and what seems to be his number one concern is customer satisfaction. I've been here at least 5 seperate occasions with 3 different cars. Waise helped install aftermarket parts onto my Mini Cooper S, changed brakes and rotors, oil changes, and done all the maintenance for my mom's Lexus RX350. It is a tad difficult to find, but if you're in the area it really isn't hard to navigate around a tad. The entrance does have a somewhat big gutter which never caused any of the cars any problems including the lowered Mini. Anyhow, Waise/OC Auto Care is a stand up guy and I appreciate all his help with every car I've brought back to this shop. He has always given me fair prices and when I suspect that something needs to be replaced, he'll be straight forward with me whether I do need to replace a part or if it can even be repaired. Fantastic Experience. He does more than smog work people! Found OC Auto Care on Yelp and went here for a smog check. Immediately the owner noticed I had my jumper cables in the back seat and asked why. I told him my truck died a couple days ago and I replaced battery yesterday. Little did I know, you need to put 200 miles after you replace a battery for your systems to reboot. His observation literally saved me labor work ($$$) and time. In fact to show me, he hooked my truck up and showed my systems haven't been rebooted and he couldn't pass me for a smog check. Didn't charge me a thing for this and said to come back after I put 200 miles on. Seriously, what auto shop does this? I came back. He did the smog check and re-connected a wire that caused my check engine light to go on for free. Now that I trust this guy, I had him look at my brakes and rotors because they've been grinding. I know what it typically costs and his price was very competitive. He even offered me a ride back to work (even though I had one lined up). Best auto repair shop I've been to. These guys really want to help and are very mindful of the budget. I bought a used car and within 30 miles of me driving it it threw a check engine light for engine misfires. Brought it over to OC Auto Care. There were a lot of things wrong with the car that would make it behave like this. After there was no apparent solution, they tried a brute force approach to just try to replace the parts that seem to be malfunctioning until the problem goes away. After 3 weeks of persisting, they were finally able to fix it. Not only that, but they only charged me for the parts that were actually broken, and not any of the parts they had to use or even replace that seemed to be fine. Definitely the best! read more
