Wow, based on the majority of the Yelp reviews I see posted for OC Autohaus, I must have just had an encounter with another business... The story: My wife and I are buying a car for our son who's turning 18 soon. OC Autohaus has a beautiful version of the exact vehicle we are looking for and I emailed requesting more information. My inquiry was responded to promptly by Internet Sales Manager Matt Lopez. I gave Matt a call and he was professional, knowledgable and respectful. I stated that the car OCA was offering for sale looked very good except it was almost 30% over the dealer Kelly Bluebook for a vehicle in excellent condition, KBB's highest classification. He assured me that OCA "was always willing to work with customers to ensure the car fit their budget". He said he'd speak with his boss and get back. This sounded promising and I was encouraged we could work something out. My son was happy and excited as well. I received a call from Vincent about 30 minutes later. He identified himself as one of the owners of OCA. I explained our interest in the vehicle and my concern that it was significantly overpriced. He paused and then actually laughed. He said the car was previously owned by a Realtor and was in rare condition (not really sure what being owned by a Realtor has to do with it, but okay..). I acknowledged the car looked very good and tried to point out that was precisely what KBB's highest condition rating was for. He was very condescending and laughed again, saying OCA was a high end dealership that consistently obtained premium prices for their cars. Finally, he chuckled and offered what he called "a little something", ~$500 off his asking price. Honestly, I was speechless. I've been in professional sales for over 40 years and have never experienced this level of gratuitous disrespect. A simple agreement to disagree would have been appropriate and appreciated. We just bought a gorgeous super low miles 16 year old 911 C4. All looked good on our inspection. Most importantly the tires had nearly ALL of their tread. We bought the car to be driven also by our 16 year old son--hence the tires being safe was critical! After bringing the car to Porsche for its tune up we were told the tires, although look brand new, were 11 years old, which is dangerous since tires begin breaking down after 6 years. Who knew! The car simply was not driven much over the last 11 years. Now we bought the car AS IS. Certainly it was within their right, both legal and moral, to sympathize, but not help. We purchased Range Rover (stock number 10759) 4 wheel drive supercharged through an online contact as we live in Louisiana. The vehicle was and is represented as a NO SMOKING one owner vehicle - very important as we are highly allergic to cigarette and even more allergic to Cigar smoke. It was represented as in good working order without any noticeable defects or non functioning systems. The sale states "as is where is" Upon arrival in Louisiana we were totally mislead. The vehicle has a cigar smoke stench - clippings of cigars on the floor and in the seats. Dog hair and feces and "dirty dog smell." Sand everywhere. Furthermore, those functioning systems apparently did not include NAVIGATION, RADIO, PHONE PAIRING as they are disabled. Also the left front wheel appears to have a screeching bearing failing. These are dishonest people. Don't trust them with your money, nor time. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble by not dealing with OC Autohaus. You might be scammed and lied to, as I was. These are the people that give used car salesmen a bad reputation. I talked with Kifah about a Maserati convertible and I flew on purpose from San Francisco to LA the next morning. I didn't need financing so it should be an easy deal. We agreed on the sale (price and a purchase-inspection at the Maserati dealership - which we booked right then at the earliest time) and Kifah charged a deposit on my credit card to guarantee the car for me until the inspection. We agreed on a $3,000 deposit, but he oddly only charged $1,000. I now understand why. We did a handshake on the sale agreement and he congratulated me on the purchase. He said he was moving the car to a different storage area away from the dealership until the inspection. All that was a lie as I later found out. I should have gotten very suspicious about Kifah already, because he "forgot" to mention in the initial phone call about a broken interior wood trim panel (which is large and obvious). He also initially claimed that the Maserati dealerships don't do purchase-inspections anymore for external cars. I called a couple Maserati dealerships nearby and that was not true for one of the dealerships in their immediate vicinity. Did he have anything to hide? Finally, when he called with his cell phone (in front of me) to a storage facility nearby for a proper vehicle storage that I needed for the car, he was inventing this whole story about his family moving out of the country, in order to get a deal from the storage operator. Very odd. There was no need to lie in order to get a car storage place. He was quick to lie on a simple matter like that. I should have trusted my gut. A couple days later, I send him an email asking if he could also remove the my car from the "available for sale" in their website and others? They could mark it as "sold" or "sale pending" (because of the purchase inspection). He immediately sent me an update image of the car on his website with the car marked as sold. But, a couple days before the inspection, he called had been a "mistake" and someone else - a new sales team that started that weekend (yet another lie) had sold the car during the weekend while he was away (right!). He said he would talk to the person who purchased it to see to see if they could reverse the sale (yet another lie, as I found out later) and he also said you would talk with the owner to see what could be done to make it up for the mistake (lied again) and promised to call the next day with more news (you get the picture: this call never came). After this, did not hear back from him anymore. I called a few times and eventually they passed to this guy named Sam. Sam said he was sorry about the "mistake" and wanted to make up for that by purchasing a similar Maserati convertible at the next car dealers-only car auction. Over the phone, Sam and I agreed on the conditions (as you might expect I was very suspicious). I called TrueCar customer service (where I had found the vehicle originally) and told them about what had happened to make them aware. A couple days prior to the auction, I called Sam to figure out which vehicle would be available at the auction. I learned then that Sam would after all not purchase any vehicle for me. His reason: I had called TrueCar. You can now see how trustworthy these guys are! Sam then went ahead and threatened to call my employer (Google) because I had threatened to sue OC Autohaus. Be my guest, as I have now indeed retained a lawyer to sue them for the obvious breach of a sale contract. Incredible, right! All the time, frustration and money wasted just to purchase a car because these salesmen are untrustworthy. read more

He first comes off so nice, even telling sob stories about his cat dying, but then the typical car salesman comes out. He is a lair!!! And has no issues of lying straight to ones face. That's scary!! I did let them run a credit report and Kifah told me it would be run by their group. Now I find out that I have 8+ credit inquires on my credit report and they will affect my future credit score till 5/2019. I WAS NOT TOLD they were going to submit to all these lenders.. APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT HAVE A QUALIFIED FINANCE DEPARTMENT WHO KNOW WHERE TO PLACE LOANS BUT BROADCAST THEM TO A LIST OF LENDERS AND WAIT FOR A REPLY? They wouldn't give me my second set of keys because I financed through my bank and not them.
