The frog in the bikini is what sold us on trying this place out. It was a nice place to hang out. We sat at the bar and had a great view of the ocean at sunset. We just had a couple beers, no food. The prices were good. We will definitely add it to our to do list each summer.

Great bar food, amazing view of Assateague and some of the coldest, cheapest beer in Ocean City.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. It was a cool night so we ate outside which was nice, but what made it nicer was our wonderful waitress, Fanika(?), who had the most awesome, helpful, outgoing personality that makes a dining experience that much better. And she was right about the coconut espresso martini. It was delicious! She also mentioned that the menus are seasonal so I am looking forward to returning to Hooked when I'm back in OC and trying other meals. I'm hooked!!

The host staff, servers, and management were great and very accommodating. The food was great. They offered there unique twist on dishes. I had the mussels. The andouille sausage added a nice layer of flavor to the dish. The spices in sausage were great throughout the flavor of mussels and broth. There were 4 fishes available for entree. I went with the Cobia. There were 4 cooking/pairing types. I selected cajun style. Blackened Cobia, andouille sausage, over dirty rice, with vegetable medley. Medley included peppers, okra, and celery. Great all around flavor. Food was overall fantastic. I will say service was a bit slow but Mrs. April was great getting things turned around. I look forward to my next visit.

We walked from our hotel and checked in about 15min before our reservation, and were immediately sat. Don't seem overly busy which is never a good thing in a vacation destination. We were sat along the windows and put in a drink order. I got an old fashioned which was fine. I ordered the cream of crab soup as a starter. Soup was solid, but the flavor was pretty lacking. As my entree I went with the bleu cheese encrusted steak. I ordered it medium-well, which is what you do at a place that doesn't have steak in its name or isn't billed as a steakhouse. That way when the undercook it (as most do) it'll be the preferred medium temp. Anyway, the steak came out and WAS NOT encrusted. The potatoes that were served with it were very good but undercooked and slimy. The vegetables looked just forced and were thrown on the plate to add color not flavor. Our waitress Devin was nice, but she could tell the kitchen wasn't providing a good meal. We skipped dinner and went to Dumser's. Meh - wouldn't go back.

The ambiance alone makes it worth the visit. I stopped in for a late lunch and went with their Pick 2 lunch combo, pairing the Caesar salad with the cream of tomato soup. The Caesar was excellent: fresh, whole romaine hearts tossed in a nice tangy dressing, topped with flavorful brown bread croutons and a solid chunk of quality cheese. The cream of tomato soup was equally good, carrying over those same rich croutons and cheese to tie the meal together seamlessly. Service was top-notch as well--the bartender was friendly and welcoming, and the kitchen churned out the food impressively fast. Great spot all around; I will definitely be back.

Maybe a little expensive, but I feel like everywhere in Ocean City is overpriced.

Make a reservation... especially if you want to come on a Friday or Saturday night, but really, just make one no matter the occasion or time. They get really busy here and for good reason. On an island without many good food options, this place stands out. Nice atmosphere, plenty of options on the lunch or dinner menus, good portions, quality food and nice cocktails too. At this point, we've tried lunch, dinner, bringing the dog, no dog, burgers, tacos, their classic wings, shrimp with crab imperial, crab cakes and several cocktails and mocktails. Service was excellent during both of our visits and I really felt like they cared. The waitress, the one who brought our cocktails, the one who brought our food... everyone just gave off that vibe and had a passion for making customers happy. I particularly liked the "New Fashioned" cocktail, which was like an Old Fashioned with some Grand Marnier. Really tasty. My shrimp crown imperial was okay, but those shrimp on top of the tasty crab really needed some more char. They're supposed to be grilled shrimp, but tasted more like steamed. Overall though, awesome place to eat in a town that has few good options. After two visits and trying this much of the menu, Longboard has definitely earned a spot in our Ocean City rotation.

I started with two soups - jerk chicken and rice soup and the cream of crab. The chicken was good and had long rice with plenty of spices but the soup came out very lukewarm. Granted I don't need it piping but it was somewhat concerning. Also - the chicken was a tenderloin rather than shredded or chopped which was kind of hard to negotiate with a spoon. The cream of crab continues to cement its place as the top 2 cream of crab soups in and around OC. I went with the longboard burger as my meal - served with pasta salad. Really like the pasta salad as a side being different. The burger was pretty skimpy on the special sauce that came with it, but I asked for a side of bleu cheese which was good. The bartender who served us was a younger guy with a beard and longer hair - very friendly and attentive to everyone. Again - nice chill vibe here - cool little built-in market area and a cool design.

From the looks of what our friend ordered, the crab cakes were plump and juicy with crab meat. The crab bisque was also delicious though a bit salty for my taste but that's usually the case. The bread. Make sure you leave room for that! The catch of the day was fresh but the flavor was alright. I ordered the duck breast and enjoyed every last drop! The views are amazing too! The culinary team truly knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, our experience was completely ruined by the owner, Garvey. His behavior was shockingly rude, hostile, and completely unacceptable for anyone in the hospitality industry; let alone someone running a business. Treating customers with such utter disrespect is a disgrace, and it completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful dining experience. Because of the appalling way we were treated by management, we will never be back and cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. Great food is not worth patronizing a business led by someone who treats people this way.
