My friends and I ate brunch here, and the food and service were fantastic! They're strict about the opening time though, so they will not let you inside if you're there even 2 minutes early. We had to wait outside in the cold until they officially opened. The steak was definitely my favorite - perfectly cooked (medium rare) and delicious! To drink, you must start with the Berries and Bubbles, which is as delicious as it is beautiful. To eat, there are plenty of options for everyone. My favorite item was surprisingly the Veggie Roll - unexpected, because I don't usually like asparagus. The Brussels Sprouts, Truffle Mac, and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots are must-order sides. For drinks I had a prime passion which was sweet and tangy. The butter cake dessert with ice cream, berries, and I think a raspberry sauce was delicious. The warm bread for the table was also really good. A nice variety with fluffy loafs, pretzel style, and cracked. Came with whipped butter and it was a nice start for the table. I truly had no idea what to expect walking in here. It could easily have been a snootier lunch place people take their business clients in the area to. And it may very well be. But the service and overall meal does not reflect that as an experience at all. The food was surprisingly good. Pricey but not really for the area and for what you're getting. The west coast oysters were plump, the sauce could have been a skosh more interesting but the presentation was delightful. We also grabbed one of the sushi rolls, which came with one of the more interesting soy sauce serving dishes I've experienced. For mains I grabbed the crabcake melt, which was divine. A ton of crab meat, lovely dressing. The salad was surprisingly flavorful and well-balanced and could have eaten that as a whole meal. The service was so attentive and the place itself is really elevated. Let's begin with the setting. On the strip, 2nd level of the restaurant with a huge digital billboard off your shoulder. The glitz, the energy, the history on on full display in its current glory that is The Strip! Food: Outstanding! Lobster bisque, oysters, lobster linguini, steaks to die for. There are bucket list wines depending on $$$ of course and this place had 3 of them right there for the taking. Someday it will be mine, but not on this evening :( We had a very nice Amarone Valpolicella which is has a unique way of fermenting grape juice and I suggest you take a quick look at the process of this wine fermented with dried grapes in the Veneto region of Italy. Overall I'm so impressed with Ocean Prime that I find it hard to reconcile that is is a national chain. Our host was absolutely charming and full of energy during the meal. He had a story about getting called in to work last weekend and said that they had a special guest coming by and they wanted to make sure their A team was in place. My boyfriend and I stopped by for our anniversary dinner last night since I've been wanting to come here for a while. We had a reservation and were seated within a few minutes of arriving. The place itself is spacious, and the dim lighting makes it perfect for a romantic dinner. They sat us in the dining room, and the only drawback was that we were seated right between two other tables that were very close to ours, so we didn't love that. They start you off with warm bread, and the pretzel sticks were my favorite. I chose the pineapple picante for my cocktail and loved it! My boyfriend first had the espresso martini, which was alright, and then he had the prime passion, which was really refreshing, but he wished it was stronger. For appetizers, we got the Caesar and house salads, both solid. For my entrée, I got the 8oz filet, and wow, I was truly blown away! My boyfriend got the teriyaki salmon, and he also enjoyed it. For dessert, we got the ice cream with almond cracker and carrot cake, both of which were delicious. Overall, I would definitely return and would recommend this place for any special occasion. We came here for the Restaurant Week dinner... only to find out it's not available on weekends (NYC tourism website needs an update!). The servers were playful yet attentive, making for a fun experience. We arrived at 4 PM, and the place filled up fast. Upon arrival we waited a few minutes to see that we were being seated in a private room that was huuuge. The service was superb, attentive, and very friendly. They served our meals, got chairs for our purses, took our pictures, and refilled our glasses as needed. Scallops were soft, tasteful. The braised beef was also soft, savory, sweet, perfectly balancing each other. The ribeye was amazing, melted in my mouth, and was great with the sauce. Pairing it with the creamy mashed potato was the perfect combination in every bite. I enjoyed the steamed broccoli as it was seasoned well and a bit crispy on the edges. The calamari was a little tangy and not too much my taste but I enjoyed a few and is always a classic appetizer. Dynamite roll was the perfect bite and had a little kick to it.
