We traveled up from Melbourne to celebrate our anniversary at Oceanic, and as always--it was so worth it. This was our 3rd or 4th time dining here, and it somehow gets better every visit. The views are incredible, especially if you can time it with the sunset. The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant, and the staff always makes you feel welcome and taken care of. For a special occasion, this place really hits the mark. The seafood is fresh and flavorful, and every dish is beautifully presented. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was spot on. When we arrived we were seated immediately and waited for about 10-15 minutes until I stopped someone to acknowledge our arrival and to provide service. Stephanie A was not only accommodating she provided stellar service by ordering our meals and making great recommendations. They seated us in a semi private area- which was a bonus for my big, loud family of Italians. I forgot to take a picture of my meal but my entire family loved this place! We went here while on family vacation and i got the braised short ribs, which sound basic but was a little out of my comfort zone for ordering. Boy am I glad I branched out.. the meat was so tender, the gravy was so flavorful and the potatoes were just adding to how good it was. Others got fish, filet, etc and everyone's plates were clean by the end. Only picture I got was this dessert, it was like a giant peanut butter/chocolate cup and it was so rich, we wanted to finish it but were struggling. I had the grouper which wasn't on the menu but a special. It was supposed to be to be in a buttery cream sauce but it had no flavor. It was a large piece though with a side of fettuccine. Honestly, too heavy for a side. We ordered a couple of salads that were huge but delicious. I just don't need that much food as an appetizer. It was my birthday dinner and dessert never came. This was my first time trying out the Oceanic with my parents. The location is AMAZING, overlooking the beach and Pompano Pier. I ordered a martini and can't remember the name, but it had peach, lemon, gin, aloe and Prosecco and it was 10/10. Just wish the glass and drink were colder. For dinner, I got the Thai noodle salad and absolutely devoured it. The tuna was delicious and I loved how many veggies were mixed in the noodles -- YUM! My dad got the burger, which he enjoyed, but thought it was a little too greasy. Our waitress was very friendly, but at times, service was very slow and we were stuck with empty drinks for a while. On our last night of the trip, we decided to eat at another popular spot in Pompano - Oceanic. Overall we had a great meal and experience. The atmosphere of this restaurant is top notch. Even though it felt a little more upscale, we had our young kids with and no one seemed bothered. FYI, If you look online there is no kids menu, but they do have kids options! Our servers were great and very helpful. My wife chose the cashew salmon and I had the filet. As I live nearby, I have dined at Oceanic many times and have always experienced good food and service. However, ordering out is a different story. I placed a takeout order on Valentines Day but early enough that it wasn't during their busiest hours. Ordered the two crab cakes dinner, churrasco steak dinner, and key lime pie. The good: crab cakes were good, plenty of crab meat, churrasco steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, and the key lime pie was good. The bad: the crab cake dinner is supposed be to come with an arugula salad and a small amount of asparagus. None of that was there, just the crab cakes. What makes the churrasco steak so good is the chimichurri sauce, but no sauce included. Placing a $100 order should have an expectation of a complete order, but Oceanic fell short of that. Not sure if I will frequent this restaurant any more. read more

Went to Oceanic on our first night in town. The place was amazing. I had oysters to start along with a gin cocktail. Both were fantastic and fresh. My friend had the filet mignon with the crab Oscar topping. He even let me try it and I have to say 10/10. My husband and I split the halibut with couscous and veggies. *chefs kiss* The layout of the restaurant it open with nice breezes and views of the ocean. We booked a reservation at Oceanic in Pompano Beach for 8:30 PM thinking the oceanfront views and "premium" vibe would make for a nice night out. Big mistake. We arrived early at 8:15 PM, checked in politely, and were told to wait - fine, whatever, places get busy. But then we watched in disbelief as the host seated party after party who arrived AFTER us, some with 8:45 PM reservations, while we stood there like idiots for a FULL HOUR. Yes, you read that right. We waited over an hour past our reservation time while later reservations got called and seated right in front of our faces. The absolute cherry on top? We pulled the manager aside, explained we had the 8:30 slot (showed the confirmation on our phone), and he literally shrugged, said something about "we're prioritizing walk-ins and later bookings tonight," and then turned around and called the next 8:45 group - WHILE WE WERE STANDING THERE! The disrespect was unreal. He didn't even pretend to care. On top of the blatant favoritism and poor management, they apparently charged us some BS "reservation fee" or deposit when we booked (which we only noticed later), so we're out money for NOTHING. No table, no apology, no nothing. Just a smug host and a manager who couldn't be bothered to honor the system they use to take people's money. The place might look pretty from the pier with its ocean views, but don't be fooled - the service is atrocious, the reservation process is a joke, and the management has zero integrity. If you value your time, dignity, or money, steer clear of Oceanic. There are plenty of other spots in Pompano or nearby that won't treat you like second-class citizens. Save yourself the headache and the wasted evening. 0/10 - would never return, and I'm warning everyone I know. Worst experience at a "nice" restaurant in South Florida. Period. read more

Then my boyfriend got the churrasco steak, which he likes, and I got the oceanic seafood pasta which we BOTH agreed was the star of the show. Small salad with roasted corn, greens and garbanzos. Fresh and light and some grilled asparagus draped over the crab cakes. A ton of love went into making this dish. Mahi mahi sat on top of Israeli couscous"pasta" that was toasted first which brought out the nuttiness and the lemon beurre blanc "French, "white butter" vinegar, wine and butter wisked in" sauce took it to another level of Yumminess. Seafood came with a ton of Pasta just the way we like it along the top of the pasta were the sautéed clams in and lemon, butter, garlic sauce and fresh herbs sprinkled on top. Yummy goodness. Key lime pie made in house. Limes squeezed that Morning tart and flaky! Perfect way to clean the palate. Let's talk about service and the ambiance. you walk up a flight of stairs to enter the restaurant and when you get to the top your view is breath taking of the ocean with no obstruction. Ceilings are 30 ft. And no doors or windows. Wow! You welcomed by two Lovely host. When you are seated you get two servers that wait on you and take cares of all your needs. Amazing experience. The food was great, but the place was freezing cold. The temperature had to be at least 58 to 60 degrees inside last night February 1, 2026. We could not enjoy our meal as it was so cold in the dining area and we moved twice to find a place where cold air was not blowing. I was thinking it would come out traditional style but was served alla very rich instead. The menu description for it is, "Shrimp, white wine, garlic, herbs, tomato, linguine." So what's worse is I didn't see it coming. If I had known, I would have changed my order or have not shared the cavatelli fondue dish. This threw me off. I only ate a little. The wedge salad was good. The cavatelli fondue was good... It was kind of like having pasta with butter for dinner as a kid growing up but much richer. Not a lot of flavor. The side of mac and cheese that we hd at Beach House was full of flavor in comparison. However my friend preferred this one over that one so, it's relative. I did like the texture of the cavatelli. Appearance-wise it looked like worm cereal. See the picture for reference. The fries were good. The drink menu isn't super great. My friend was looking forward to a frozen daiquiri which you can get just about anywhere in the area but here they only offer it on the rocks? Was it just that day or every day?
