The location is amazing. Me and my partner stayed here for valentines weekend after visiting the Hearst castle. The view and ambiance is nice. The outdoor area is super cute, especially if you have kids. It does get packed so if you want a fireplace outside you may have to wait, we got one around 9pm. We got a double queen bed because we booked a bit last minute and it was the only one available. The room was spacious but it was really cold. The front desk did help us turn the heater on but it was a bit complicated & hidden since it's a bit older. It took about an hour to heat up the room. The morning of check out, from 9am we kept getting door knocks from housekeeping and check out was at 11am. We had about 4 different random knocks that woke us up a couple times. Outside that, it was a good experience.

Clean, quiet and easy checkin. The rooms are well stocked. Bed is comfortable. and it is very close to the ocean sanctuary. The view is really amazing. If your looking for a nice place to stay Ocean point Ranch is the place.

I would go here again solely for the location and the grounds. The room was fine, but nothing special. There are so many trails and places to explore nearby, not to mention, access to the beach! We enjoyed the fire pits, although it was difficult to snag one early on in the evening, and the sunset from state park across the road was beautiful!

One of the workers came up to us and said we can't have all the chairs? We booked and occupied 15 rooms! Get more chairs

While my last Posts were 98% negative I have to update my review from a 0 to a 3. As of last week, the owners of The Oceanpoint Ranch (Pacifica Hotels) finally made things right. As I got NOWHERE with Angel or Dominique, Gatlynn Hicks refunded all the monies that were charged to my guests under our room Block contract. For future visitors, if I were you I'd go directly through Pacifica Hotels. Don't deal with the Sales Staff directly. Hopefully they learned a lesson that you can't give horrible customer service when your job is in Hospitality.

This was first time staying here since it's been renovated. First of all the grounds are pretty and there's many areas to enjoy a fire and listen to the sound of beach waves. Ocean point is the last hotel at the north end of Moonstone drive. It is definitely quieter and has a boardwalk across the street for a nice stroll. The room was nice and clean but a tad disappointed in the bedding. There's a duvet cover that is upholstery fabric and not a nice clean cotton. It made for a heavy blanket and there were no other options. The price is fair for the location and the amenities.

Really enjoyed the complimentary wine with ocean view and one of my biggest reasons for booking it was due to they accept dogs, which says a lot about an establishment. That being said, there are areas for improvement. When I checked into my room, I noticed that the the dark blinds were stuck so I went to the office to see if they could help. The manager came to my room; tried to lower them and agreed they were stuck. She said she would ask the maintenance person to fix it. A day went by and nobody came by. I was awoken to a bright room early in the morning so my sleep was cut short. I went back the office and the same manager welcomed me with "yeah, what's up"? I highlighted that nobody came by to fix it and she seemed pretty indifferent but said she would request it again. Needless to say, nobody showed up to fix it during my whole stay so I was greeted with shortened sleep thanks to the bright room in the mornings. While I was checking out, I highlighted this to the new manager and she laughed it off, saying that's why she brings blindfolds when she travels. No discount offer or anything. Furthermore, their door key cards are the most sensitive I have ever encountered. I had to have them reprogrammed 3 times during my stay. Also, the owner apparently requested that they close the wine tasting early due to rain so, when I showed up to use my complimentary wine vouchers, I found it closed over an hour earlier than their posted closing time but the server did provide me with the complimentary wine since I was a guest but they were no longer offering food so no marinated olives and nuts to go with it. That being said, the Inn does have a great location; is a value and I love that it is dog-friendly but they do need to work on their customer service. Oh and some more Vegan options and recycling/compost bins would certainly help.

LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

This property is owned by a company that owns at least four other properties on Moonstone Beach, and shares with them poor customer service. Examples from a recent stay include Wi-Fi that was frequently nonfunctional, and when complaints were made, we were told either that the problem couldn't be fixed, or couldn't be fixed until the next day because no maintenance staff were available. The rooms, lack decor and character, although the bed was very comfortable. When we asked that the waste baskets be emptied at the beginning of the day, we were told that since we did not make that request the night before, it could not be accommodated because of insufficient custodial staff. When I made this request to the manager on duty, she gave me a look as though I had asked her to donate a kidney. We emptied the baskets ourselves. The property has two fire pits, both of which were essentially nonfunctional. Also, the pool was closed. When they ran our credit card on check-in, they actually immediately charged the entire fee for the stay at once. This is an unusual practice, since most similar properties assess the actual charges for the room at checkout. If you were looking for a place to sleep, steps away from the boardwalk on Moonstone Beach, this will fit the bill, but there are a number of better options steps away from this property.
