At here today for a late lunch found the place to be pretty good. I thought they had a pretty comparable menu to a place like Joe's Crab Shack. A lot of steam pots of snow crab, dungenous, clams, shrimp, etc. The meal reminded me of some of the BBQ shrimp I have had while visiting New Orleans. Newly opened. Staff was very over worked but still very friendly. Took a while to get out order taken and for food to arrive to table. Fried shrimp basket was good, king crab was very good. Out of Blue Crab was why we originally choose to eat there. It still a good experience. read more

Had 2 orders of low country boil with shrimp and sausage to go. First the good, you get a lot of shrimp and was still hot after a 30 minute drive home and they use good sausage (the small amount you get). Now the bad, was packaged in plastic bags so they could put juice in there. Juice was oily leaving a strange after taste. Don't know what the oil is about, never seen it cooked in anything but water and Old Bay. Some of shrimp were over cooked, corn was way over cooked (mush), very little sausage. Couldn't taste Old Bay seasoning and doesn't taste like they use real butter for dipping. Priced way too high (15.99), definitely not worth it. First time here and most likely my last. Great Food, Awful service!!! We went there for my wife"s 40th birthday, it started with a 1 hour wait even after i made sure they knew my party would be there at 8:30. Then all the order were messed up and the manager and the server both acted like they could careless!!! Terrible service for "okay" seafood. The preparedness for our reservation was poorly noted. Management was nonchalant regarding accommodations after the arrival of our party. This can be corrected by thorough planning and management. I wouldn't recommend for parties more than 15 people. read more

Jubilee ended up being our server, slow service, our order was wrong, not seasoned right. Drinks were refilled slowly. Food was delicious when it finally came out right. When she brought out the check she proceeded to wipe the table down while we were still seated there. I am going to do my best to explain OD seafood so your not surprised like my husband and I where. We walked in and the place was packed with LARGE parties. It was very noisy and busy. The staff looked stressed out beyond belief. We felt so bad for them all, but they where all so nice. We had two boilers and the crab legs, steamed red potatoes and corn was delicious. It was drenched in Old Bay and lemon pepper but we asked for it this way and it was very tasty. We waited and hour and a half to get our food and there is good reason why. There are a lot of people who have no idea how to act in a restaurant. There where children screaming, 10 birthdays where people had to have every server sing them happy birthday, a man complaining about his corn (he thought it was a bug, it was not!) and people who have no idea how to act decent in a restaurant. They also think if they are paying 22$ for crab legs this is considered royalty status. This is NOT fine dining at all!! It is crazy, fast paced mayhem. The food was good but we will not go back due to the mobs of people that frequent this nice establishment. I have eaten all over. What a trippy dinner this was!! They quality of the boiled seafood has decreased and the prices increased. The corn is now frozen instead of fresh and you don't get as much as you did when they first opened. The fried shrimp were good though. read more

This is the worst seafood I've eaten in Savannah. There was a party of 12 and my friend and I were the only 2 who decided to eat healthy and order the grilled shrimp kabobs. The waiter informed me that they were no longer on kabobs but they are still grilled. So I ordered and we both stated the broccoli tasted like it had been cooked in seafood water....disgusting! On top of that, the shrimp was not grilled it was sautéed with a light that teriyaki sauce and not cooked all the way through. At this point we were frustrated, she started eating her son's,s snow crab legs and I started eating my son's fries, my goddaughter also mentioned the fried shrimp were horrible. Apparently, they're only good at steaming seafood as everyone else ordered those dishes and were pleased. I will not be returning. I received the worst service while visiting OD Seafood. My waitress couldn't get it together after having to stop her numerous of times as she walked by never checking on us and after waiting an hour she comes to the table and ask did she take our order an hour after our order was taken by her. The manager was no help saying she probably forgot and she had a lot to do (the restaurant was not busy at all). Very cute place, but totally dead at 6 pm. I got the fried oyster basket which gave me about a dozen good sized oysters and a reasonable amount of fries. The waitress was very good. However, nothing was salted, and there was no salt or condiments on any table. I had to ask for ketchup for my fries and they were quite stingy with it, giving me two, 2 oz cups filled only halfway. The oyster batter was pretty good, but overcooked a little. The oysters were not fresh, they were probably from a jar, given the slight mushiness. The fries were kind of greasy and the insides were total mush.They were OK. All in all, I am giving a 3 for the food, but the waitress deserves more. It was not a lot of food for the money. Love's gives the same amount, tastier, fresher, for less, but this place is around the corner, so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and will return again. Hopefully they will have some condiments on the table and salt the food the next time I come. read more

Terrible. Will not return. We were a party of 2 at 3pm and the restaurant was not very busy. We ordered an appetizer which we never got. After receiving only my food (and no appetizer and husbands food was not served) I called the manager over. He was apethetic and of no help. All he wanted to know was did I still want the appetizer. He could clearly see my entree sitting in front of me. When I pointed out that my food was served and my husbands was not and nor did we get the appetizer, he only made excuses about the kitchen and offered to take my food back to the kitchen and bring it back out with my husbands which I refused. My husbands food did arrive shortly after mine. The food was mediocre at best. Certaintly not worth the $50+ I spent (note- no discounts were offered for our inconvenience by the manager). I did tip the waitress since the ineptness of the kitchen was not her fault. She was friendly and attentive. There are many other places in Savannah to eat seafood that are much, much better that this one. I will be surprised if this place stays in business very long. read more
