While visiting Savannah, we knew we had to try a lowcountry seafood boil, and the Juicy Seafood promised a good time. The inside was surprisingly quiet, with most tables empty when we stopped by at 7pm on a Tuesday night. We ordered the Combo B with shrimp and crab legs (mild seasoning + garlic butter), along with a fried lobster tail and sweet potato fries. The bag of boiled seafood was definitely the star of the show. The shrimp tasted fresh and flavorful--not fishy at all--and the garlic butter seasoning was delicious. Cracking open the crab legs was a new experience for us and honestly kind of fun. There's something about working for each bite that turns dinner into an activity. We also tried the fried lobster tail. Unfortunately, the batter tasted almost burnt and overpowered the natural sweetness of the lobster meat. In retrospect, I would have ordered it boiled instead. The sweet potato fries were limp rather than crispy, which was disappointing. That said, the overall seafood boil experience really saved the meal. Our server was friendly and kind, especially since this was our first time at a seafood boil restaurant. She checked on us several times without being intrusive and helped us navigate the whole bibs-and-gloves situation. What our family loved most was the communal aspect--everyone digging into the same bag, cracking shells, passing pieces around. It felt interactive and different from just eating individual plates ordered off a menu. Would we go back? In my opinion it's just a standard seafood boil restaurant. The onion rings were small like I like them but I just tasted whatever it was battered in (and it tasted like flour). The fried shrimp fell into the same category as the onion rings but the shrimp were nice sized and butterflied like I like them. I ordered the hot seafood bag with a pound of crab, shrimp and sausage it also includes potatoes and two corns. The sauce was good and spicy and I enjoyed the crab but the sausage wasn't the typical kind and I only ate one when usually sausage is my favorite. We walked in and we were seated quickly. We felt the price was the level of fine-dining but with a picnic type ambiance. Shae was our server and she was fabulous!!! I'm not kidding!!! I was surprised at how she stayed at our table and took the time to answer all of our questions. I was expecting her to run off but she didn't until all of our questions were answered. Came into the restaurant and was told to signed in to be placed in line. The guy in front told us it will be about 20 min wait. It needed up being about a 40 min wait. It was defiantly worth the wait so I wasn't complaining. Place was near the hotel I was staying in so that was a plus. They did have social distancing inside the restaurant. A few tables have been blocked off, which was nice. We ordered the combo A which had 1lbs of shrimp w/head, 1lbs snow crab legs, corn and potatoes. We also ordered about 2 lbs of crawfish all in The Big Bang medium sauce. The Big Bang had all of the sauce and spice mixed together, lemon pepper, garlic butter, and cajun seasoning. They also gave a side of dipping butter, which I enjoyed. Most places don't offer that. Food was very flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed every bit of the food and their sauce. This is a casual Louisiana-style Cajun seafood restaurant in a strip mall. They are most known for their Louisiana boils. They have seafood baskets of fried fare, and large expensive platters of crabs, shrimp and lobster. We stopped in for some fried seafood baskets for lunch. We ordered shrimp basket, catfish basket and chicken tenders basket. We tried both the Cajun fries and the sweet potato fries. A brief summary is grease, and we got greased out. The food tasted ok but is soaked in grease. The Cajun fries were greasier than the sweet potato fries. Our favorite was the sweet potato fries. I believe they added some brown sugar (or some type of sugar) to coat the fries. They were pretty good. The shrimp was tender, layered in a Cajun season and battered. The catfish was also tender. It was cut into strips which made for nice finger food. The chicken strips seemed to be battered just like the shrimps. We ordered takeout. They didn't do a good job notifying customers when food was ready (we were supposed to get a text/call). We finally went inside to check and found our food waiting for us on the counter. An older lady was waiting after us. We went inside to check for her and found her order was also ready and waiting. This was our first visit and we haven't tried one of the boils. I always get Big Bang style hot which is a combination of all their flavors: garlic butter, lemon pepper, and Cajun. They have mild, medium, hot, and extra hot. hot is pretty spicy but I like my mouth to be burning by the end so it's perfect for me. My favorite is the snow crab legs but their crawfish and mussels are delicious as well. Its served with 2 potatoes and corn... oooh that corn. It soaks in all those spices and juices and is just BURSTING with flavor! Their shrimp boil is not my favorite but the shrimp basket on the other hand.. some of the best fried shrimp I 've had. Large and succulent! The best part is, the whole thing is super quick. There is definitely a wait if you go during high times but once you sit, service and food is zippy. Visited while I was in Savannah, I have been to other Juicy Seafood or crab restuarants. Pretty much they have the same concept. This location hires quite a few college students, really young staff. The problem is they were not professional, stayed on their cell phones my whole visit. Train your staff to be professional at all times, especially around food. They have plenty of seating, I went to the bar due to the waiting time. Plenty of free parking so no worries with that...The waitress was very kind and attentive at the bar, but again most of them on cell phones. My catfish and fries were seasoned well and tasted fresh, not frozen. I was actually shocked how good the food tasted. The serving was reasonable for the price I paid. I would try them again if in town, hopefully the manager gets the professionalism training for the staff. read more

If zero stars were an option that would be my real rating. My friend has been ranting and raving about this place and how amazing it is every time I've come to visit from North Carolina. This trip we finally found time to go so a group of 4 of us went for dinner. The place was not busy at all so we were seated right away. Our waitress approached us in a timely manner and took our order for drinks and appetizers. Upon us receiving our drinks she then informs us an 18% gratuity will be added to our checks. I, confused, question why when the menu says that's the case for parties of 6+, she responds that people are coming in and not tipping. I inform her that they cannot force people to tip and we ask to speak with a manager. The "serving manager" approaches our table informs us that it's their new policy for holidays and argues that today, December 27th, is a holiday. She then basically tells us people had been leaving and going to another establishment close by all day. Our waitress had also told us the table before we arrived had left once they were informed. We made the decision to leave as we felt it was crazy and unfair when we did not have a large party. I honestly do not have any desire to go back. It's not your customers fault that you're not paying your staff a livable wage and they're living off of tips so it hurts them when they're not making any. So I came here on a Sunday for a birthday dinner. Our reservation time was for 6:00, however we weren't seated until 7:15. They were very busy! We watched as multiple groups that arrived after us sat down and ate. We were getting extremely frustrated and not to mention hungry when we were finally seated. The menu is filled with many options, steamed seafood, mussels, crab legs, shrimp and oysters. They even serve chicken tenders and french fries. I ordered the seafood platter but substituted the mussels, oysters, and clams for double shrimp and crawfish. The food cake out piping hot and delicious although some of the shrimp was over cooked to the point it had that gummy consistency which no one likes. Other than that the food was delicious. I was also slightly disappointed that although they have a bar they only serve beer and wine. The bar is quite large and they actually had a bartender serving drinks but no hard liquor. The waitress came a few minutes later placed a bucket on our table and took our drink order. I asked why the bottle Bud Light was $2 less than the Draft Beer at $6 and was told she didn't know or know what size the bottles was or the draft beer glass size. For sake of the taste, no need to order any crabs! Because crabs (including King Crab legs) meat were quite messy to handle and not tender/tasty in such cooking method. The Seafood combo (in Garlic Butter, Pepper, Cajun, or Juicy Special seasoning bag) is highly recommended. Literally, the bag was a big plastic bag, to keep the food warm and flavored. The wife and I dined in Saturday night for the first time after a recommendation from a friend! Our nephew and his fiancée joined us as well. The prices were quite high for my usual dining but the quantity and quality of the food were intact. My friend suggested this place for our weekly lunch date. She loves this place and keeps telling me about it and since I LOVE seafood, I was excited to try it out! Parking - It is located in Chatham Plaza, so center parking. Service - We got there about 10 minutes after opening (12pm) and there were people seated already. The entire restaurant is pretty dim, but each table (booth anyway) has a lamp shining directly over the table so there is plenty of lighting and you can see what you are eating. The decor is a bit of a nautical/boat theme. There are big ropes everywhere, that wraps around posts, steering wheel, and the entire restaurant is built in the natural light wood and the restaurant allows their patrons to write on the walls! If you want to leave your mark, don't forget your sharpie! I don't know how I feel about the chaos, but that doesn't really matter until you read about what I ate... What I ate - I ordered the Shrimp Plate (with head) with the Big Bang seasoning (which is all their 3 seasoning thrown into 1). I am guessing it's about a pound? There were at least 20 large shrimps cooked with 1 small cob of corn and 2 red potatoes. My, oh my....First, the waitress appears and sets a large metal bucket on the table, bibs and plastic gloves (you'll definitely need these!) Then when the food arrived, it came piping hot, in a large, clear plastic bag, trapping in all the goodness. When I opened that bag, all my stress just vanished and my mouth just started watering. The Big Bang Seasoning is the way to go! I don't know how to describe it. All I can say is, I could drink that sauce! Just a warning, if you don't like to eat with your hands or you don't like getting them dirty, don't order anything on the left side of the menu. Pricing - I thought it was such a great value. My friend said that they had recently increased their prices, but there were over 20 shrimps in there and for $14, IMHO, you can't beat that!
