I checked the reviews and opted for the combo B (headless shrimp and snow crab legs) with the "Big Bang" seasoning. I chose the "hot" level for spice because the waiter said the "mild" barely had spice that day. It was delicious! Came with melted butter dip too. The heat was building because I started getting a runny nose lol Our waiter was very friendly and even gave us some tips and information about the Savannah area. Service was 5 star! I got some rice, and gobbled most of that bag myself. My husband got chicken tenders with some sweet potato fries cuz he doesn't eat seafood, so if you're itchin for seafood but your guest isn't, there's still choices for them. Def would like to go again!

    Hollow crabs

Longer review is on Google, so on here I'll just say I received horrible customer service an hour before closing when walking in to place a to go order. I left no tip due to the awful customer service. In retaliation, they gave me crab legs that were hollow and salty. This place is already expensive as is - It was a complete waste of $. Ahmani took my order. Her and the host's attitudes were awful.

    After eating

I probably wrote one the first time we went but since we've been 4 times it's a little expensive but so worth it absolutely we fight over who gets to eat what I love that you can customize the spice level my boyfriend hates spice I love it and we still enjoyed it and there's definitely enough sauce in the bag but we got the extra sauce and dipping it is honestly just apart of the experience the place looks cool with writing all on the wall and like a crab shack vibe I love it and we've had 4 different servers and I can say that I obviously have ones I liked more but they were all amazing all where quick some made nice conversations but all really good we we're always checked on quickly and everything brought out surprisingly fast the food again amazing

    Snow Crab Legs

In my opinion it's just a standard seafood boil restaurant. The onion rings were small like I like them but I just tasted whatever it was battered in (and it tasted like flour). The fried shrimp fell into the same category as the onion rings but the shrimp were nice sized and butterflied like I like them. I ordered the hot seafood bag with a pound of crab, shrimp and sausage it also includes potatoes and two corns. The sauce was good and spicy and I enjoyed the crab but the sausage wasn't the typical kind and I only ate one when usually sausage is my favorite. I wouldn't rush to come back but I'm also not against returning.

    Seafood Platter - Large

What a fun atmosphere for a seafood place. We ended up coming here because the fine-dining places had long waits. Lol. I'm glad we ended up here. It was relaxed and fun. We walked in and we were seated quickly. We felt the price was the level of fine-dining but with a picnic type ambiance. Shae was our server and she was fabulous!!! I'm not kidding!!! I was surprised at how she stayed at our table and took the time to answer all of our questions. I was expecting her to run off but she didn't until all of our questions were answered. That's awesome service!! We ordered the large Seafood Platter and shared it. It was perfect for us. I thought the flavor was amazing!!! I enjoyed the flavor of every item in the bag. Dipping it in the garlic butter was almost sinful. We had a great time at this place and we would return to share another platter. If you come to this place, I hope your experience is as good as ours.

Came into the restaurant and was told to signed in to be placed in line. The guy in front told us it will be about 20 min wait. It needed up being about a 40 min wait. It was defiantly worth the wait so I wasn't complaining. Place was near the hotel I was staying in so that was a plus. They did have social distancing inside the restaurant. A few tables have been blocked off, which was nice. We ordered the combo A which had 1lbs of shrimp w/head, 1lbs snow crab legs, corn and potatoes. We also ordered about 2 lbs of crawfish all in The Big Bang medium sauce. The Big Bang had all of the sauce and spice mixed together, lemon pepper, garlic butter, and cajun seasoning. They also gave a side of dipping butter, which I enjoyed. Most places don't offer that. Food was very flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed every bit of the food and their sauce. Check out this place if you are in the area and love spicy seafood, you won't regret it. Probably the best seafood boil I've had.

Shrimp basket with sweet potato fries

This is a casual Louisiana-style Cajun seafood restaurant in a strip mall. They are most known for their Louisiana boils. They have seafood baskets of fried fare, and large expensive platters of crabs, shrimp and lobster. We stopped in for some fried seafood baskets for lunch. We ordered shrimp basket, catfish basket and chicken tenders basket. We tried both the Cajun fries and the sweet potato fries. A brief summary is grease, and we got greased out. The food tasted ok but is soaked in grease. The Cajun fries were greasier than the sweet potato fries. Our favorite was the sweet potato fries. I believe they added some brown sugar (or some type of sugar) to coat the fries. They were pretty good. The shrimp was tender, layered in a Cajun season and battered. The catfish was also tender. It was cut into strips which made for nice finger food. The chicken strips seemed to be battered just like the shrimps. We ordered takeout. They didn't do a good job notifying customers when food was ready (we were supposed to get a text/call). We finally went inside to check and found our food waiting for us on the counter. An older lady was waiting after us. We went inside to check for her and found her order was also ready and waiting. This was our first visit and we haven't tried one of the boils. If we come back, we will have to order the boil.

What kind of oil is used in your fryers? My wife is allergic to peanut oil and soybean oil. If your restaurant uses canola oil, we will be on our way!

Although I don't know what type of oil they use in their fryers, their best dish, in my opinion, is the Low Country Boils which doesn't use oil to cook. They have plenty of options besides fried food.

The Barbecue Shrimp came in a spicy sauce loaded with flavor. It came with a piece of bread that was perfect for dipping into the sauce to sop it up. There were a good number of shrimp in the serving. The Crab Cake Sandwich was good. It was not as full of lump crab meat as other crab cakes that we've had elsewhere. The Catfish Fingers were large pieces of catfish that were lightly fried. The Shrimp Poboy was satisfying. The Parmesan Garlic Grits were disappointing. There was no hint of garlic or parmesan flavor. Our server tried to rectify the situation by adding cheddar cheese to it. Fortunately, the Beignets were as good as we expected. Huey's is the only place outside of New Orleans where we have found authentic New Orleans beignets. Our server Jenelle was very friendly. At some point, something frazzled her because she seemed flustered and rattled by the time we were ready to leave. We had asked her for silverware for our beignets. It took her so long that my partner got up to get some from another table themselves because we were tired of waiting. When I asked for the check, she gave me the wrong check. She went in the back to fix it and had my debit card. She came back without the card to ask me for my zip code to finish the transaction. We asked her to bring the POS terminal to our table so that we could finish the payment.

That search led me to The Olde Pink House--a magnificent historic mansion dating back to 1771, now home to one of Savannah's most memorable restaurants. The décor is beautiful, with antique furnishings, fireplaces, elegant woodwork, chandeliers, and enough historical character to make any ghost hunter feel immediately at home. The building is surprisingly large, with numerous dining rooms, each decorated and arranged differently. Exploring it feels almost like wandering through a well-preserved haunted mansion--though thankfully, the staff were much friendlier than the ghosts I had recently captured. The food was excellent, and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I tried the Hostess City, a craft beer brewed exclusively for The Olde Pink House, and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Our server was wonderful, and we were even able to exchange ghost stories with them. We all had a good laugh, although I'm fairly certain one of the portraits nearby was laughing along with us. We arrived dressed entirely in black, and not a single person batted an eye. In Savannah, this is apparently considered perfectly respectable evening attire--or perhaps everyone simply assumed we were attending a funeral for one of the restless dead. After dinner, we asked whether we could explore the other sections of the restaurant, and we were told it would be no problem. We were able to visit the different dining rooms and examine the antiques and objects respectfully without disturbing the other guests. Be sure to visit the bar downstairs, Planters Tavern. It has a wonderfully haunted atmosphere, with brick walls, old-world décor, and a beautiful fireplace that must be especially inviting during the winter months. The basement's fireplaces were reportedly part of the home's original kitchen, which only adds to the feeling that the room remembers far more than it lets on. The Olde Pink House offers excellent food, beautiful surroundings, friendly service, and just enough supernatural atmosphere to keep a ghost hunter interested. I arrived looking for somewhere to recover from the night's haunting. I left well fed, pleasantly spirits-laden, and only mildly concerned that one of the ghosts may have followed me home.

We were able to eat downstairs in the basement, which was such a treat given the history of the building. The atmosphere, food, and service made it a memorable Savannah experience. Definitely a five-star meal!

Service like his is a big part of what turns a great meal into an unforgettable one. Now, the food... The crab cake was one of the best I've ever had--easily 95% lump crab with barely any filler. Just fresh, sweet crab prepared perfectly. The beef carpaccio was elegant, incredibly flavorful, and disappeared far too quickly. Then came the French onion soup. There's a reason the National Onion Association recognized it as the best. Rich, deeply caramelized, perfectly balanced, and topped with a blanket of bubbling cheese. Without question, the best French onion soup I've ever had. The black truffle scallops were buttery, tender, and absolutely decadent. The evening's special--a blackened filet paired with shrimp linguine--was phenomenal. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the shrimp linguine brought bold Cajun flavors that made us feel like we had been transported straight to Louisiana. Absolutely not. Zero flavor. I took one bite and sent it back, and I rarely send food back. The shrimp & grits were... interesting. No. On a rainy day, I could actually see myself eating a bowl of it. But if you tell me shrimp & grits, my mouth has already prepared for something completely different.
