I was craving kimchi rice and Korean Fried Chicken and I was in the Dublin area. I dropped in because of the pictures I saw on Yelp. They had limited sides but that was okay I was there mainly for the kimchi rice and the fried chicken. I selected the 5-piece which consisted of two drumsticks and three chicken wings. The kimchi rice had fried egg on top. I have to say the meal hit the spot. The kimchi rice is a little different than what I've tried before it wasn't too spicy. The fried chicken was delicious, nice and crispy and very moist. You have a selection of sauces to choose from. I picked their special sauce with medium heat. I came on Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded. It was easy for me to get refills on my side dishes. read more

this is my first time eating at this new Korean chicken restaurant, and overall I enjoyed the food, service, and experience! I am giving it a four star because the glazed spicy chicken wings were memorably delicious! We also ordered other rice plates with grilled beef and chicken katsu. They are also good but nothing too special about them. I would like to try some of their other dishes next time because they looked appetizing too! Just so you know, plan to spend about $14-18 minimum per person before tips; it is not exactly cheap eats. read more

This is by far my favorite place for Korean Fried Chicken. The batter is nothing like the other places that serve kfc and I love that they don't mix it with the sauce unless you ask them to. I always order it without sauce and it's still very tasty. Another thing that they do well is their kimbap. The korean rice cakes with ramen and cheese came out to be about $20 which felt a bit pricey although the serving size wasn't small. The rice cakes were definitely soft so the texture was definitely something to be complimented. I came here last month with my family and another family as we wanted to get some chicken and beer. The food and service was fine. The reason for the one star is because of the owner. We ordered a pitcher of Stella. We poured 3 glasses and by the time we took 1-2 sips of the beer we all noticed the beer was very flat. I brought this to the attention of the server and returned the glasses with the beer still in them and told them perhaps they should check the keg so they don't serve anyone else the flat beer. They apologized and asked if we want something else. I told them Blue Moon would be fine. I didn't think anything of it and returned back to the table and continued eating. Then I could hear the workers talk amongst themselves and then I hear one person yelling. I turned around and it was the owner who must have been in the back and came out and started yelling at the workers that they shouldn't give us another pitcher and that they changed the keg this morning (doubtful). He not only yelled at the workers but he was also swearing at us in Korean to the employees. I guess this is common but my family and the other family I was with are Koreans so we understand everything he said. Then the server comes back to the table really apologetic and tells us we can't get the pitcher of Blue Moon unless we pay for it. Pretty awkward considering we already returned the flat pitcher of Stella and now they poured another pitcher of Blue Moon. To avoid any drama (mind you I have 2 kids with me under 3). I said that's fine and we'll pay for the Blue Moon. The whole thing could have been handled 20 different ways but the owner had to make it uncomfortable and yell at his employees in front of the whole restaurant and curse at us. When we paid at the end the head server said sorry and said they tried the Stella in the back and agreed it was really flat. I know business is tough in the Bay Area with the cost of labor and food but pinching pennies and treating customers only exacerbates your revenue in the long run. read more

I found myself in the Ulfert court in Dublin looking for food. I've tried a few places in the court but Odagada was the new kid on the block (at least in my memory and experience) so I decided to give them a shot. Now, when I think of korean food, I think of bimbimbop, short ribs, bulgogi, and tofu soup. It's not often I think of fried chicken. So when I saw on the menu a whole chicken fried, I decided "Hey, I gotta try this!". So, I ordered the whole chicken with 1/2 glazed and the other 1/2 fried but with 2 side sauces which sadly I don't remember names other than they are a spicy dark sauce and another is a lighter colored one but mild =/. The glazed one is great. The glaze is sweet, the dark meat juicy, and the white meat just soaks the sauce. The other half is errr not so good. It's really dry if there's white meat pieces of it. Also, I ordered a korean ramen with Kimbap. Kimbap is the korean version of sushi and let's say that was devoured in less than a minute. It's really good and light since it's seaweed, rice, egg, and a little slice of beef. The korean ramen is a meh. I didn't realize it was just nong shim instant ramen but the broth was watered down. If I knew ahead of time, I would simply cook it at home. I honestly thought it was korean military noodles that I was ordering. read more

The spicier one is a little bit too drenched in sauce, and I wish it tasted more like fried chicken with sauce instead of chicken drenched in sauce that you think is fried. One thing that does stand out is the radish quality. Most places give you disgusting and old radish, but it's so fresh and crunchy here! Found this place randomly and glad I did. This Korean fried chicken place is located just to the right of the escalator in the Ulferts Center. Got seated quickly and the server was polite and helpful even with it being busy on Thursday and him being the only server I saw. The vibe and music was chill. The chicken stayed crispy even with the sauce drenched over it. The Odagada sauce we ordered was the right spicy that didn't overshadow the other spices which was great because there was a sweetness to it that had a scent similar to a churro which I enjoyed. The seafood pancake was what I really enjoyed here. The pancake was the right amount of crispy throughout, where other locations just has the crunch on the edges and top and mushy or soft inside. The ingredients were generous as to let the seafood flavors shine with every bite. The seafood pancake is what I always order from any Korean food spot I've visited from the Bay to LA and this was the best hands down that I've eaten. The combination tofu soup was flavorful and had a good helping of ingredients. A little spicer than I'd like, but wifey loved it and she loves her spicy. The kimchi fried rice was done well. I think the server mentioned my reaction to the food to the owner, Ryan, because he came out from the kitchen to talk a bit and I told him how much I enjoyed the food and how the pancake really impressed me. Wandered in here one day when all the other Ulferts restaurants were crazy packed. And so glad we found it! The chicken is great. Super crispy and flavorful. We usually get the regular fried chicken with the dipping sauce on the side, as opposed to glazed. The sauces are good too, sweet, sticky, and a little spice (to your taste). What's even better is that the chicken stays crispy even doing take out. Quite impressive. We also get the kimchi fried rice and the jap chae (a Korean noodle dish). The chicken pieces are small, so you'll probably end up ordering a lot more than you think. But they're the perfect size to order a bunch to watch the big game! After 3 failed attempts at getting a table for dim sum, my family of 4 ended up at Odagada. It was one of the few places without a wait on a Sunday at 1 PM. Now I know why. First off, the service was weak. We sat ready to order and it was fairly empty yet no one came by to check on us. Eventually the older man in the staff told the younger waiter to go take our order. This was only after he noticed we were sitting there not being helped, while he was watching tv next to us I'm assuming on his break. The waiter takes our order but is not the least bit helpful and borderline rude. When I ask how many people the large tofu soup serves he makes me repeat the question multiple ways before he understands. When he does understand, rather than answer my question he instead corrects me that "L" means lunch not large. Okay, so I still don't know how many people one soup serves smart butt. Eventually I'm able to find out it serves 1 but man was that like pulling teeth! Throughout the meal we repeatedly had to flag this kid down for water or napkins. Instead of trying to do his job he rudely asked if we "need anything else" as though we were bothering him from doing something aside from his job. The food wasn't any better. The kimchi fried rice was too spicy for my kids to eat and tasted more like sriracha than kimchi. The $16 short ribs came with a measly 6 pieces of ribs. It also came with salad and two scoops of rice but I would have preferred an all meat option because those skimpy pieces barely fed us and left us still hungry. The tofu soup that was so hard to order was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Our unhelpful waiter neglected to ask me how spicy I wanted the soup and apparently defaulted it to hot. It was just a miserable $60 meal all together. Won't be coming back. There are several options for Korean food and this is by far my least favorite. read more

Went with my friend few weeks back and we were extremely disappointed at how they treat their customers. First thing's first: there's barely any meat on the chicken, and it is not the best bang for your buck. Second, they charged my friend twice, and did not want to give her a refund. After telling her empty promises such as "we will contact you when we figure out how to do it" and "we will call your bank to issue the refund," they finally decided that it was not their problem and that it was my friend's responsibility to go ALL the way back to their restaurant and receive the refund. They do not care how much of an effort we made to visit their restaurant, and they tried to make it look like as if she was the biggest inconvenience to them. We ordered one Ddeokbboki and green onion chicken which has sliced fresh green onion on top of it. I highly recommend you guys the chicken. She returned to her conversation after showing me to a table and giving me the menu. Slightly irritated since I only had an hour break and it took 12 minutes to drive here. About 10 minutes later, she gave me some banchan and pickled radish. Less than 5 minutes later, I got my entrée. Didn't really enjoy my meal since I was eating quickly and anxious to return to work on time. I got the BBQ beef short ribs. It came with coleslaw, macaroni salad and a small scoop of rice. Tasty enough but portion size was tiny. Not a good deal for the price. I usually can't finish lunch when I eat out. I often eat half and take half To-Go. When I first saw that there was going to be a Korean style fried chicken and beer joint in the Tri-Valley, I was really excited! When I spent a good amount of time in San Diego and Orange County, these types of restaurants were great to get some good high-quality wings outside of the Wingstop/Buffalo Wild Wings variety and have some great Korean flavors and side dishes to go with it! Now...that being said, I'm only able to rate this on the service... or lack thereof. The two of us arrived at about 5:30 PM, and there were about 2 tables open out of the approximately 20 tables in the restaurant. It a couple minutes for the manager (owner?) lady to even notice us, but then she spoke to us and took us to one of the open tables. We sat there as she drifted back toward the cashier (presumably to grab us menus), where she stopped and chatted with another group of diners, then went back to the kitchen. We were never handed menus or acknowledged after that. As we looked around the restaurant, we saw one of the waiters pick up a dish that had already been served to one table, and swap it with another table (misplaced an order). We then looked around us, and saw that there were two couples that had menus, but were being paid no attention by any of the servers. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and go to the restaurant next door. As we left, we saw another party who had their menus and were trying to place their order give up on the service and leave as well. The food did look good, and the groups that came in for take out orders were able to be handed their orders promptly.
