I had been waiting and waiting to see what this place was all about after my best friend raved about it and I can say ONE thing that is true...The Buffalo Mac & Cheese was the highlight of our brunch. It is a MUST order! The carafes of bellinis and mimosas were refreshing and it was just enough for everyone to get two glasses. We all shared an order of their beignets, which came out warm, covered in powdered sugar and to be drizzled with honey and a random lemon on top. Now, they weren't even CLOSE to Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, but they were hot and good. I will say that the chicken that came with the waffles was seasoned well and crispy, but I mean the waffles, sadly weren't hot and fresh. They had been sitting under the hot light, which we didn't care for, but the taste of the waffle batter I enjoyed. I ordered the Green Chile Scramble and it lacked flavor. It needed salt, spice, something. The brisket that was folded in though, it was tender, fork tender. I liked that. Overall, I would go back, but I know what I would and would not get. I stopped by here for lunch last Friday....they have a daily special and the special that day was Chicken and Dumplings, which is one of my favorite soups! When the soup came out, it didn't have the traditional chicken and dumpling look to it (if there is one lol), i guess because they also put quite a few vegetables in it. I ordered the bowl, which was 16oz, which basically equates to 1pound lol i ordered it with a side of mexican mimosa, and it definitely made for a nice lunch! This restaurant is located in the Bishop Arts district, and so, parking can be kind of hard to find, but valet is available. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, with a friendly waitstaff. There is plenty of outdoor seating available and the bar also has stools outside so you can enjoy the beautiful weather outside as you sip your delicious adult beverage! :) read more

Service was prompt and attentive, atmosphere is pretty hipster (ample natural lighting even indoors), and food was ok. I got the pork belly Benedict and my friend got the steak short rib hash. The meat on both were just ok. Pork belly was mostly fat and the lean parts of the meat were kinda dry while the steak bites were kinda overcooked in my opinion and also a little too chewy. The potatoes were really good and they definitely make their eggs right (whether sunny side up or poached). It's really hard to put into words how bad our experience was today. After waiting about an hour to be seated, the waiter did not greet us for at least fifteen more minutes. Once greeted there was a half ass apology and an ask if we'd just like to get drinks and food taken care of now or did we need another minute? We ordered drinks and food. When asked if brisket hash was any good his response was "yup". Food came out before one of our friends received their first beer. No utensils. I would recommend the brisket nachos for a group - these tortilla chips were generously served with handfuls of tender brisket, cheese, salsa, and sour cream. Really enjoyed our weekend brunch here! I want to start off by saying how much I appreciate the restaurant's strict adherence to safety by requiring their staff to wear masks and asking that customers do so as well (yes, we are still in a pandemic and yes I'm a physician and still taking all precautions). We were able to be seated outside and our waiter was wonderful! He was extremely attentive and sweet. I wish I had gotten his name, but he was working the patio on Saturday morning (10/9). My husband started with a delicious Bloody Mary and we ordered the Buffalo Mac and cheese and the Belgian waffle with chocolate chips. We approved of both of our dishes. The only annoyance was that the outdoor patio was filled with birds that were pooping constantly from the treetops and the poop was everywhere on the tables. However, we got lucky because we had an umbrella at our table that blocked the poop. The tables next to us were getting the brunt of it. Would suggest adding more umbrellas to mitigate the situation. Amazing banana pudding, my friend and I were extremely exited to go to to oddfellows as she has been in a wheelchair for a year and hasn't been able to go. Now she is finally able to walk and we decided to go yesterday. At first, our waitress seamed very nice. However, that quickly changed after we finished our meal and my friend overheard the waitress saying to another coworker that my friend and I seemed "out of it" and my friend was stumbling. Little did she know that was her first day walking without her walker. I don't understand how this place doesn't have at least 4.5 stars. I live a few blocks down and this is the best brunch spot in the neighborhood. First of all, their coffee is delicious. Sometimes I just stop by for a cup of coffee. Second, their service is so polite and thoughtful. I mostly sit at the bar (inside or outside) and have never had an issue. Sometimes I bring my dog to the patio and they are always accomodating. The food is always great. My favorites are the brisket hash, the huevos rancheros, and their pancakes of the day. Their mimosas are great too by the way! I've visited for dinner a couple of times and was just not impressed. I think brunch is their thing. Definitely reccomend. read more

Oddfellows USED to be amazing. Once upon a time they had the best coffee in all of Dallas. The Chicken & Waffles was to die for. Those days are long gone. Latte was sub par. I could get better at any Starbucks. Chicken & Waffles - weak weak weak. The waffles are spongelike and the chicken wasn't breaded/fried properly so all the breading falls off. Service on Sunday morning was also pitiful. I expect that Sunday brunch is busy, but wait staff disappears for 15 minutes or more. Everyone sitting outside is left looking around for any kind of service. I'm so sad to say that this was my last visit. Used to be amazing...but the fall has been far. read more

Preface: the food was a solid 4, but, unfortunately, the service in whole was a 1. So, here's the deal. We were in Richardson when we got on the waitlist which was sitting at an hour. The mobile waitlist was the only reason we still came because we had a 30-minute drive. When we arrived, we waited another 30 minutes or so. There were a lot of empty tables, but also a lot of people didn't have food. My opinion is that they were short-staffed. The waiters were visibly spread thin, so that I can understand. After we ordered, our waiter, who was very nice don't get me wrong, warned us that our order would take 20-40 minutes. Well, it turned out to be right at an hour. That's an unreasonable amount of time and we were pretty hungry. We weren't offered an accommodation, but asked for one ourselves. The manager agreed to give us a round of mimosas which was nice but shouldn't have been requested. Food - delicious! We had the Benedict (B), chocolate chip pancake (A), and chicken and waffles (A+). Although we didn't have it today, I would definitely get the Buffalo Mac & Cheese. I've had it before and those around us who ordered it loved it! Overall: I would come back, but not for brunch. Brunch is always a good idea in Dallas. Oddfellows is no different. It's a beautiful ambiance with friendly staff and good atmosphere. The only critique I have is about the drinks. I ordered a lemonade and it was way too sour. It tasted like it was straight up lemon juice. No sweetness. I had to add several packets of sweetener to make it drinkable. At some point I eventually ordered a Frosé (frozen rosé) and it was only slightly better than the lemonade. BUT the food was so good that it made up for the drinks. This app helped me get on waiting list while I was getting ready, I booked it and was able to get in no problem as soon as I arrived by the hostess. (This feature came so in handy, the list was growing long). Met my friend and our waitress was so kind and didn't rush us to order or anything. My friend had a breakfast on the menu and really enjoyed it. I wanted a sandwich, so I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich . This plate came with a side of fries and condiments. The fries were warm and salted a good amount! My sandwich was actually decent portion size (getting your money worth). I ate only half of it but it was cause it filled me up. I happily packed it to go and was able to eat it another day . Oops almost forgot about the bubbly mimosas that me and my friend had, that tied our brunch together! This place is so cute! We got a table right away, the place was semi full around 7 when we arrived and quickly filled up. Our waiter was prompt with our orders, and I really appreciate how quickly he cleared our plates after our courses. The mozzarella balls were my fav! For entrees we tried the buffalo mac & cheese and truffle butter fettuccini. It was all amazing but the home made fettuccini with the truffle butter by far exceeded my expectations. My Fort Worth foodie friends suggested we venture to Bishop Arts and check out Oddfellows for brunch. I was on board from the moment I saw the reviews and all the concern about the wait went out the window, because I could add myself to the waitlist through Yelp! This is a game-changer. The process wasn't completely without fault, though. I added myself to the waitlist at home when it said it would take 90 minutes to get a table. 45 minutes later we got a text that our table was ready, but we were still driving and wouldn't be there for another 20 minutes. I rang the hostess and she was so sweet and accommodating and told us to ask for her and she'd seat us when we arrived - thanks Heather! We couldn't have gotten a better table, it was a raised farm table by a bright window. It's like they knew I wanted to snap some pics. The server was attentive and even accommodated our request to have grapefruit juice in our mimosa carafe. Notice the repeat of accommodating? This place is. I ordered the Buffalo-mac on a recommendation of another reviewer, but wasn't too stoked on it. The chicken was perf, but the macaroni left something to be desired. I wouldn't get it again, but I wouldn't steer people away from it either. Use your own discretion. Overall we had a fantastic experience at Oddfellows, if I'm in the neighborhood I'd definitely stop in again. I'll save my final star for when I get an entree that I love, though. read more

This is one of my go-to brunch places in Dallas for visitors. There is always a wait, but put yourself on the waitlist before you head out to skip the line. Even if you have to wait, there are lots of cute shops in Bishop Arts to browse. If you're hungry, get the buffalo mac- it's a solid, comforting choice. If you want something light, go for the ever-changing breakfast scramble or the oatmeal. Their breakfast potatoes are flavorful and crispy- great in the hash. The coffee is excellent. Look at that chai latte! The atmosphere is half of the reason why I love this place- the wooden booths, the plentiful natural light (great for those insta pics), the wall hangings. I love the food here. However, after my experience last Sunday, I'm a little scared. A guy sat next to me and sat his dog on the counter where food was being served and people were eating. Not one server asked him to remove his dog from the counter. In fact they allowed the dog to sit on the counter and served him water. This is not okay. A human cannot sit their bottom or their feet on the counter and a dog should not be able to either. Dogs walk on the ground in god knows what. When I think about all the ways this is unsanitary, I was motivated to contact health dept. The way the waitresses were communicating with the man this seemed to be a normalized lack of etiquette. I know that dogs are allows on the patio but I know that a dog should not be on the counter where people are eating. read more
