Immediately afterward, the vehicle sounded noticeably rougher. I returned the next day, and an employee rode with me to hear the noise. I was told the older tires being rotated to the front could be contributing, so I had them moved back. The noise only decreased slightly; the aggressive roaring sound during acceleration remained. Shortly after leaving, the low tire-pressure warning also appeared, requiring another return to Mavis. The following week, based on Mavis's recommendation that a bearing issue could be responsible, I authorized a bearing service costing approximately $699 before tax. I also purchased additional Michelin tires at approximately $242 per tire, for 4 new tires total. After that service, the vehicle was returned with a completely new and severe scraping/grinding sound underneath, at times sounding as though the bottom of the vehicle were scraping against concrete. The sound was concerning enough that I stopped driving it. The valve-stem caps were also missing from the newly installed Michelin tires. To be clear, the original roaring noise was never resolved by simply repositioning the tires, and this severe scraping/grinding noise was not present before the bearing service and latest tire installation. At this point my concern is not simply that something went wrong, but that the vehicle was released in that condition after extensive service to the tune of $2083.16 Returned vehicle and was informed the lower skid plate wasnt tightened.
