    Seafood Oregon Shrimp Louie Salad

The fish and chips was amazing. We orders the halibut. Didn't love the seafood salad. The salad dress was too sweet and didn't seem to fit. But the bread bowl clam chowder was delicious!

This was our first stop on the trip to Oregon. It's a cute small restaurant with great seaside decor. I ordered the fish and chips along with a cup of chowder. My daughter had the kids Mac and cheese. My daughter loved the chowder, it's the first time she's had chowder before. Fish and chips were good. Price was high, but that's what you get for a tourist spot. Can get noisy depending on how many people are in the establishment. Seating is limited inside, though there is patio seating.

The tables were cute with seashells! I thought it was odd that the server brought 2 cups of clam chowder even though we ordered 2 additional bowls. Mo'mosa was good for $7. I was disappointed by the onion rings! I thought that it was extremely overcooked and a bit pricey for its quality.

This is the tiny portion here compared to the other pic of literally every other Mo's we've been to

Absolute WORST Mo's we have ever experienced. We frequent Mo's for every family trip to the coast. We usually get fabulous service and the food is great. The kids will decimate three baskets of onion rings and the servings are large and we leave feeling food coma sick. Not here, we left ordinary sick. My youngest eats 3 bowls of chowder and barely choked down half a bowl. Tiny portions (half the size of all the other locations), one of the meals in the order didn't even come out and a kid w, never given water refills, burnt food, and the service was terrible. The kids barely touched the onion ring basket and said it was burnt and nasty, and even the ranch tasted weird. Won't be returning ever again.

Yum! Don't know what's up with these one star reviews. Great bustling location on the Newport bayfront. While it was busy, there was no wait when we visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon in mid-July. We opted for the clam chowder in a bread bowl + onion rings and were not disappointed. As someone who spent years in New England, this bowl of chowder was legit. Fast service, fair prices, and overall positive experience. Nothing like a bowl of clam chowder near the ocean!

Service was great and fast. Loved all of our food so much we got a second dessert. Clam chowder was the best I've had. The halibut tacos were delicious and large and I loved that they came with limes and a very good jalepeno sauce. The peanut butter cream pie was outstanding.

Friendly service and great food. While I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal, I wanted to indulge on some oysters! I The baked oysters come served with melted butter and lemon wedges. The oysters were super plump, flavorful, and satisfying. I wish they had fried oysters too, but these were still awesome. My partner ordered a bowl of clam chowder. He told me he would rate it a 10/10. Waiter was always smiling and made sure we were taken care of. When we come back to visit, I look forward to trying more food from Mo's. Worth it!

My wife and I were craving some classic fish and chips while visiting the coast. While touring the beautiful town of Newport, OR., we stopped into Mo's for a quick lunch! The service was fast and polite. The environment is warming and clean. My wife ordered the same as I, COD fish and chips. However, for a side my wife ordered the shrimp salad and I settled on a cup of chowder. The food came out quickly and the server was professional but cold. The Fish was unfortunately overcooked and had a rubber-like texture. The clam chowder was great when I added additional salt and pepper. I did however, have a small clam shell in my chowder which surprised me with an unsettling crunch. The total bill was: $43.90 without any drinks. I feel that the price is fair. The service was good and the environment was great. However, the food was below par; Especially the fish. 3/5 Stars. Thanks for reading. Cheers!

Food was great!! I ordered the halibut fish and chips, with a side of clam chowder. I Tried a bite if the cabbage shrimp salad and the marian berry pie with scoop of vanilla ice cream!! YUMMO!!

Bowl of Clam Chowder with fresh shrimp. All I could taste was bacon.

Sorry Mo's, I'm just not a fan of bacon in clam chowder. I want to taste clams not the bacon. And why couldn't I pay to add fresh crab on top of my bowl or chowder unless it was in a bread bowl, but I could only pay to add fresh shrimp? But had I ordered the bread bowl (which I didn't want because I don't like soggy bread) I could have paid to add fresh crab?

Parking is difficult, but free. A 15 minute wait for dinner. The staff were polite and friendly. Of course the clam chowder was delicious and creamy.. the oyster stew was great. The cod and halibut fish and chips were excellent. The French fries are very good. And the calamari appetizers was good. The atmosphere was good.

There's a reason you go to Mo's. It's not for groundbreaking culinary recipes or suggestions on wine pairings. It's nostalgia, consistency, and affordability. It's when you just want a a big bread bowl of chowder or some old fashioned deep fried seafood. I came here for a late lunch, at around 2pm on a Monday afternoon. I knew exactly what I wanted: a cup of chowder with cheesy garlic bread. I was seated and barely glanced at the menu. The eagle eyed waitress beelined toward me and cheerfully said something like "I see you set aside you menu already; you must have a plan!" Yes, I did. Mo's waitresses are true professionals, in my experience. This woman was everything you want in a waitress: older, genuinely friendly, prompt, and efficient. Like a good Jersey diner waitress, these women are usually ten times better at their jobs than the folks working at the fancy restaurants. Don't let people talk you out of Mo's because it's "basic". Sometimes you want something simple and comforting and relatively affordable. It's a solid choice.

Just truly awful clam chowder. Watery, flavorless, mushy potatoes and not a clam to be found. The worst clam chowder I have ever had.

First, it was noticed that you are no longer able to make reservations unless it is a party of 7 or more. That was unusual and thought the cause sure to peak summer travel. Secondly, there was no bread service, initially mistaken as an oversight then realized it was no longer offered. Third, the appetizer always ordered the seafood fondue was cool. In the past, it was piping hot served in a chafing style manner. While the chafing was there, in no way was that to get it to a piping hot temperature as served previously. Lastly, the dessert, again a staple when at Georgie's the Marionberry cobbler changed from previous offerings. Overall, Georgie's has a special place, however, the changes concern the level of quality menu items. I hope this feedback helps as Georgie's has been a gem for years and one of a kind on the coast. it would be very disappointing to see a downward level of food quality and service. The views are amazing; however, it did not pair with quality food and great service it would be no different than any other locale with ocean views.

Besides the view the food is exceptionally fresh and delicious, I ordered the New Seafood platter so I could try a lot of different items on the menu. The chilled Dungeness crab was very good and tasty. No need to add anything! The fresh shucked oysters were tasty and fresh and clean. The crab dip was exceptionally good with chucks of crab meat to eat with the fried won ton chips & crackers. The ceviche was okay and also the spicy shrimp salad. The clam chowder was very good and flavorful and it was okay on the thicker side, came out nice and hot not warm. My wife had the Halibut & garlic fries which the French fries were very tasty and crispy and the halibut was great with a lightly breaded batter. I ordered the Cannonball (a sourdough bread bowl filled with étouffée) and really enjoyed it. Instead of serving the bread lid on the side, they turned it into crispy, garlicky toast, which was a really nice touch. The food was exactly what you'd hope for from a neighborhood sports bar: no frills, just solid comfort food. One thing we appreciated were the booths had a really high back, which parents know is great when you've got somewhat rambunctious kids, and one with special needs. The staff made my birthday feel special by treating us to a delicious slice of Oreo cheesecake on the house. They sang "Happy Birthday" without making it overly embarrassing (which was appreciated) and our kids got a kick out of it.
