The lion King roll was delicious. Came with lots of sauce. Never seen such bright pink ginger, but it was tasty. The main thing that brings it down to four stars is the service was very slow. It was a Friday night and a good amount of people, but our food took quite a while. Also, they have a 4% surcharge for using a credit or debit card so that's annoying. The sushi itself was good though. And we liked the tempura vegetables too.

The Durango roll was good, but almost too spicy.

I didn't want to leave my motel, so I ordered through "food runners", the local food delivery service. The food came reasonably quick.. My first item was the green mussels appetizer. Overall, it was good. The mussels were delicious, with a good briny flavor. They came with the house special sauce on top. The house sauce was good. A bit spicy, but not overly so. I enjoyed it very much. I also ordered the Durango roll, which had Fried soft-shell crab, tobiko, and again with the house special sauce. I paid an extra dollar to put cream cheese on it as well. This was also very good. The softshell crab had a good flavor, and I could definitely taste the cream cheese. However, on this one, the combination of the tobiko and the house special sauce, was a bit more spicy. I still ate it, because it was good, but it was right up to the edge of what I care for in spicy. The price of the food was good, but the delivery price, I thought was a bit high, Just the delivery charge, and fees, came out to 10 bucks, plus tip, which I would've paid in the restaurant anyway , I do realize that I was paying for the convenience of having it brought right to my door. I enjoyed the meal very much, and I would order from here again. Thank you.

Just amazing! Definitely come here. Food is great, service is very attentive, pleasant ambiance.

I ordered my food to go!! The tempura was very good, it was not soggy at all!! It was very crisp and yummy! The Salmon was very tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Fort Bragg! Great place to grab food!! I did notice that when I went in the restaurant to pick up my food that the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

As soon as I walked n I was greeted and since there was no one at the restaurant I got to chose where I wanted to seat. I went in for a quick lunch, the roll was made fresh, & tasty , the prices were average. The young man that helped was very polite and nice, if I'm in the area I'll definitely will come back. Weird fact the women bathroom has a lock from outside, that was scary. The restaurant was nice seemed traditional.

Salmon thing and special (not always on the specials board) spicy tuna on crispy rice. OMG OMG SO SO SO GOOD

Off the Hook has great sushi. The salmon thing is the BOMB and the (not on menu) spicy tuna on crispy rice is TO DIE FOR

After the movies, we decided the only place open was Off the Hook. While we always enjoy the food, it was super slow tonight. Understandably so, new bus person and wait staff stretched way too thin. Food was delicious and my boys were happy too. We were the only diners upon arrival, place was packed when we left.

This sushi restaurant is AMAZING. My family and I came by for the first time back in November but my fiancé and I finally had a chance to come back last week and it was SO good. We had the same lady seat and serve us from last time and she was so friendly, her service is really great. The inside area was nice and clean and we got seated at a booth. I really love this place. We were hungry so we ordered a good amount of food. We got the magic mushrooms (stuff and fried mushrooms), miso soup, edamame, garden special roll, salmon lover roll, rainbow roll, spicy tako roll, and the kake sake make roll. Everything was delicious. 10/10 recommend, my fiancé and I agreed to always stop here any time we're back in the area. Really great sushi!

Forgot to take a picture when the food came at first, but I remembered shortly after we started eating!

Went here with a friend from out of town and it was just eh/pretty average. Service was not great but it also wasn't bad--more apathetic, if anything (waiter was also the host who seated us and didn't really seem to care to pay attention to small details like repeating the orders back to us or how I had forgotten to order a drink until my boyfriend pointed it out when the waiter was about to leave). Not the end of the world and he could have been having a bad day, but definitely didn't give a stellar impression to start. Food quality itself was fresh and tasty. The salmon sashimi I got was fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but my boyfriend said the shrimp tempura roll he got was just okay. My friend seemed to like the Dragon Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll (though I thought the spicy tuna was a bit spicy--but I also can't handle spice well). Food portions were very small for the amount we paid, in my honest opinion. My sashimi was $20 and while I got eight pretty thick slices of salmon, it was served on daikon strips and a piece of lettuce and just seemed like the value of it was just a bit stretched and overpriced. My boyfriend's shrimp tempura roll was only four slices and was ~$10, while both of my friend's rolls were ~$15 each and I want to say that he got four pieces with the spicy tuna roll and maybe five or six with the dragon roll. I was interested that they served my food and my boyfriend's food on opposite ends of the same long plate rather than using two separate plates. I suppose that might also speak to the scale of how small the portions were though. Ambience was fine. Wasn't anything to brag about or write horror stories on, though there were some gnats that kept hovering around the food. Didn't have music playing (not that it needed to, but sometimes restaurants have music playing nowadays) and there were kids running around screaming which wasn't anything on the restaurant itself, but the noise could make the restaurant either seem family friendly or annoying.

If you're thinking this place feels like any other seafood place in a tourist town (malibu,…read moremonterey, etc), then prepare to have your viewpoints altered. While the checkered paper, fresh seafood, outdoor seating and walk up to order may all be part of the experience, this is probably the best seafood I've had in one of these beach towns. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, crab sandwich with chowder and blackened cod plate. The shrimp cocktail contains a surprising amount of shrimp for the price - and you can definitely taste how fresh the shrimp is! The crab sandwich was pretty good and light, but I feel like the blackened cod overshadowed everything. The cod was so flavorful, and you get 4-5 pieces. It's a cajun style seasoning where you can taste the spice - to a point it may be a little too spicy for people with low spice tolerance. The bread is buttered and the salad is fresh - you could not ask for a better meal. The clam chowder is a little different from most other places; they add some seasonings and spice to the chowder so it's not the traditional creamy, heavy soup you're expecting. It's like clam chowder premium, I prefer their version over a more traditional version. The view of the turquoise colored water is amazing from their indoor patio, as it's covered in windows. They also have an outdoor patio where you can take pictures of the color. The line to order was quick, but we saw that the line can get long with extended wait times depending on customer numbers. Water is self serve, and you also bus your own plates. When visiting Fort Bragg, you have to come to eat here, for the food, the view, and the service!

We recently relocated to Sonoma county (The Sea Ranch) from Silicon Valley (Menlo Park) and have had some nice meals along the coast since we moved here FT (Harbor House, Ledford House etc) but this little spot is a real gem. Friends recommended it so we had a double date night and filled the table with all sorts of goodies. Great evening and food. Highly recommended. Small, simply situated on a very quiet street in Point Arena. A few doors down from a decent locally sourced weed shop (also worth a visit BTW), and a local fish monger (Point Arena is a commercial fishing port) and solid local bakery (Pelican), this excellent restaurant serves up a variety of rotating locally sourced small plates and yakatori style grilled meats and veggies as well as some raw fish and stews as well. Highlights were the sashimi, the fish roe on rice, the grilled pork belly, the grilled cabbage salad, the tempura shrooms and the fried chicken oysters as well as the grilled chicken thighs. All excellent. They have a nice selection of saki's as well (we had 2 small bottles to share $20/each) and to close the meal we had the Matcha ice cream with passion fruit ! All in for 4 people including tax and tip $250...which in today's world seemed very fair to me. Great meal and great vibe overall.
