At that time we weren't too familiar with Ceviche and Peruvian food. Since that time we have come to love the food. We decided to try Oh Ceviche again since we hadn't been back in a while and food was just as good as I remembered. Moving from Kendall in Miami-Dade to Davie in Broward has been a bit of a challenge when it comes to finding some good Hispanic eats. Thank goodness for Oh Ceviche! This little gem is a five minute drive from my house. We arrived and were welcomed by some good Salsa music, which is always a plus. The servers were kind and very helpful when they explained the dishes to us. We decided to order the fish ceviche, which was perfect. Had the rigt amount of salt and tang to it. It was also a very good portion. Most Peruvian restaurants I've been to serve small portions of ceviche. My fiancé ordered the Lomo A Lo Pobre, which is the Peruvian version of steak and eggs. He loved. The meat was cooked to perfection served on top of a heap of french fries with a fried egg right on top. I ordered the Fish A la Chorrillana. Another great dish! Fish was cooked in a light sauce with onions and peppers. We were tempted to try a dessert, but decided to decline since we were so full. We were both very happy with food and service here. We stopped by here at the end of our vacation to key west. We had about an hour before our flight out of Fort Lauderdale. Was probably the best meal we had all trip. Great ceviche, superb fried fish, tasty house made juices. Really attentive service. They were patient with our young kids and ignorance of the menu. They made a big deal about counting my money three times, and told me next time, I can't order the jalea if I use Groupon. The food was just ok, too salty and greasy, but decent portion sizes. At the end of the day though, I just don't want to visit anywhere that is going to make me feel less-than just because I used a Groupon. tl;dr: was treated as a second-class customer because I used a Groupon. This is pretty much the best Ceviche Restaurant in South Florida, the reason why I say this is because I've confirmed that they do not pre-make their lime juice sauce like every other location does to save money. The chefs here take pride in their dishes and hand squeeze the lime juice on your meal. They let it sit and cook properly and bring it to your table for the final 1-2 minutes of "cooking". It was the thinly sliced strips in three sauces. It was served on this cute plate shaped like a fish. It was good. The little piece of sweet potato was AMAZING! Oh my god, I don't know what they seasoned that with but next time I need a whole one! I went against my natural instinct and ordered a beef stew. It came with white rice and some pepper strips and the signature Peruvian onions on top. It was good. This is the first time I've ever tried this dish and the weather was rainy and cold that day, so a stew seemed appropriate. I'm happy with it. The beef was very tender. My boyfriend ordered some scallops. I didn't try them but he devoured them. The owner (I think she's the owner) came over and asked us how we were and if it was our first time. The Lomo Slatado is the most delicious beef fillet sautéed with onions, tomatoes and cilantro with delicious white rice and home made fries.
