    Spicy tuna roll.

The quality of food has changed quite a bit since the last time we were here. The low sodium soy sauce was very salty. The wasabi wasn't spicy at all no matter how much we used. Almost as if they watered it down somehow. The garlic shrimp was also very salty. Again, the quality of food has changed tremendously and I no longer recommend this place.

Sushi isn't bad and the sashimi is alright but nothing amazing or great. If you want a pretty mediocre meal you can come here. One thing is though is how are you going to say this is all you can eat but how limits on certain items... defeats the whole purpose of "all you can eat". Service also varies as well. Some servers are great and some you can tell are just there to get the bag and go home...

I love this place. If you order the sashimi you get the best bang for your buck and it has always tasted fresh. I don't pay much attention to what rolls we order since it's for the table, but they've all been very good. I like their deep fried rolls as well. Definitely get their crab puffs I LOVE them. If you feel like you couldn't possibly eat any more, get dessert. It's worth it. They have tablets to place orders from so you don't have to wait for your server, which is a huge plus. Servers are all friendly. We usually come with a big group of people and they have always been accommodating. Great place!

This is a great sushi restaurant to dine in with a large group, whether family, friends, or both. It's lively and always buzzing. With the number of servers delivering trays of sushi, other Japanese cuisine, and drinks you're never waiting long to be served. The all-you-can-eat dine-in option is $30 per person - not bad for the number of dishes they have available for you to eat. I love how your food is served at your table, unlike typical all-you-can-eat places where you have to get up and serve yourself from a buffet. It's not like that. Your food is brought to you. Just use the kiosk on your table and place an order for any dish you want and it's brought right to you. If you don't want the all-you-can-eat option they do offer a three-course meal for $20. They do not take reservations for all-you-can-eat on the weekends so you may have a little wait time. If you come with an appetite you will be satisfied. A few of my favorite dishes to order are the fried salmon skin. It was a new item on the menu so not sure if it's here to stay. I also get as a staple the seaweed salad and miso soup. Be careful when you are with a large group and making your selections because you can double and triple order a dish and not even know it. I also ordered the delicious cucumber wrap. It's a great apertief. The crab salad brings a nice balance and one of my favorite specialty rolls is the Hawaii roll.

This is such a great AYCE sushi place in the Clear Lake area. It is great to not have to drive to another area of Houston to get sushi. I would like to point out the obvious with it being an AYCE is that you cannot expect to get a high quality of raw fish, but with the selection and the price point, it is great. They have a large variety of sushi options to choose from including raw and cooked options. There are also non-sushi options such as hibachi and appetizers. The service is really quick and ordering is really easy. You are provided with tablet to place your orders and all the items come out so quickly.

    My lemon water

Me and a few of my old buddies from the marines came in and ate here today. This server was an interesting fellar, he kept cracking jokes that weren't landing but I appreciated his attempt at humor. I ordered diet lemonade due to my diabetes and I received a cup full of pre squeezed lemons and a little bit of water. Was excellent can not recommend the diet lemonade enough. If you come here request Aidan if you want that delicacy!

I'm starting to like sushi and boy I am sure glad I stopped here. My gf has been wanting me to try this for three years and I am impressed. Great food and top notch client care from Keegan! Keegan is a personable young man with a great positive energy about him. He will go far in life with his winning attitude! Reminded me a lot of myself. Great kid! He checked on us several time and made sure we had every we needed. Top notch! Food: every single thing we ordered was great! The Texas roll was phenomenal! I wish I remembered all the other rolls we got but let me tell you, everything was simply amazing! The wings were so dam good. Fried to perfection. The chicken fried rice was amazing. The crab puffs were top notch. The hibachi beef was dam good. Fried shrimp was great too. Everything was simply amazing! I will definitely go back. This was an easy five star review. Thanks again!

Ohayo Sushi looks like a hole-in-the wall restaurant, but that's far from the truth. The inside is amazing! The decor and theme is literally an Japan izakaya (Japanese pub)! The staff are great and prices are decent. Ohayo offers all you-can-eat sushi and other dishes. Their lunch special is just as good. Ohayo doesn't do online reservations, it's walk-in only. The waiting time depends on the party of people. Their cooking is inconsistent, though. My friend's steak hibachi was very dry. Ohayo's Yum Yum sauce was more like honey mustard! YUCK! I may come back here with my family. I don't know.

The food is always good here and I always do the AYCE which is so worth it if you love eating a lot of sushi. Usually sushi can be expensive if you just order it by itself but when you do the AYCE you get your moneys worth for sure. The service is good and the ordering is through a tablet but the server will still come and check up on you which is always very nice. The overall environment is pretty calming too it has dim lighting and it's kind of dark but not to the point where you can't see anything. It's very soothing in my opinion. I love coming here and I will for sure come back in the future!

Ask the Community - Ohayo Sushi

Do they have call ahead waiting?

Unfortunately no, and if you have a big party they require everyone present before seating your group FYI. Hope this helps.

Is the sunshine roll included the all you can eat menu? If not, is there a roll that's similar to that one or a way to modify an all you can eat roll to be similar?

    Is this a BYOB restaurant?

No, not BYOB. They serve alcohol and have a bar. Hope this helps.

Is it any left overs result in A la carte or excessive left overs?

Yes, so really order what you can eat. Tip though ask for the check a bit early. Sit around, chit chat and munch what you can for a bit then they won't notice. Hope this helps!

Is this restaurant affiliated with Edo on fuqua?

No it is not. There is an Edo in Texas City as well.

When does their lunch menu end? My mom is nagging me.

I believe it ends at 3pm

Can you make customizations on the all you can eat rolls?

You may make some minor modifications on your rolls.

I think you have to call a couple of hours in advance?

They take reservations Monday-Thursday 2 hours in advance. However, they do not do call ahead seating.

    Can i make a resevation?

They do call ahead seating on all days except Friday Saturday and Sunday if I remember correctly

I see a ticket in the photos where someone mentioned that they asked for a military discount and their receipt showed a whopping 30% off, is that typical, and does this apply to veterans?

That was my ticket on the photo. When I went with my wife and they asked how many military IDs and me and my wife showed our IDs and apparently got 15% per military ID. Which now that im thinking they probably did that wrong because 4 military IDs…

What are the times for their All You Can Eat special or is it AYCE all day long?

Its all day! Different prices for lunch and dinner!

As I write this review, this restaurant currently has a rating of 4.6 stars with 120 reviews. Before coming, I also reviewed several pictures that other folks have posted on yelp, and I thought I'd give this place a try. After driving by the front of the restaurant and pulling into the parking lot, I started to have second thoughts about coming here. From the outside, it certainly did not appear to be a location worthy of an excellent rating on yelp. Still, I trusted the yelp community, and I decided to come inside. Boy, the yelp community was right on this one! This is one of those restaurants that is excellent, but you wouldn't know it unless you gave it a try. Immediately after entering, I decided to take a seat at one of their tables in a corner. Just after sitting down, a gentleman came over and delivered some fresh chips and two kinds of salsa. My waitress came over shortly thereafter and introduced herself. Her name was Marcella (sp?). She was friendly and professional throughout my experience here, and she was patient with me in explaining some of the items on their menu. After reviewing their menu and eating a bunch of their chips and salsa (which are ridiculously good), I decided what I wanted. I ordered the "Quesabirria w/Consome," with beef, which are 4 birria and cheese tacos, served with onion, cilantro, pickled onion, radish, and special spicy salsa. I ordered a Coca-Cola along with my dinner order. I definitely made the right choice for my meal. They were generous in filling my tacos with a bunch of shredded beef, and they were amazingly good. My soda was refreshing as well. In my opinion, this is a better place for authentic Mexican food rather than Americanized Mexican food. After my meal, my waitress said that she is giving me some of their dessert for free since this was my first time here. She was very kind, and an excellent waitress. Overall, I did have an excellent experience here, just as so many others have had. This was a reminder for me that sometimes I need to just trust the yelp community, and most often a high yelp rating is high for a valid reason. If you're in the area, you should give this place a try.
