The space itself is huge and there's a whole back section that they ended seating us in. It is a bit tight as they really stack the tables next to each other. Good AYCE Korean bbq option and they give you a wide variety of side dishes. Not the best I've had but still a good option for a good selection of different meats and appetizers

I wanted to try this place for my birthday with the fam. They don't take reservations so when we walked in around lunch time, there was no wait. Parking can be a handful since so many restaurants and shops around. They allowed 5 meats per round and we pulled the menu from scanning the bar code too. We ordered the ayce premium menu which was $55 per person. I wanted to try the wagyu brisket, galbi, and the scallop. My absolute favorite is the wagyu brisket and galbi. I really liked their huge portions (especially the wagyu brisket), but was difficult to cook on the small grill. It was better to cut the meat in small portions so they cook faster. We also tried the following: Pork shoulder (must order) Hawaiian pork belly (must order) Unagi Garlic pork belly Ohgane has plenty of options to choose from. Only downfall was the service. Our waitress did not checked on our table if we needed more meat, water refill or asked how was the food. Only time was changing the grill. Overall the food and portions were worth it.

One of our favorite KBBQ spots. Very delicious and flavorful. Service is great, especially the food runners and bussers-- they're amazing! Plenty of seating and spacious enough.

Probably the best KBBQ here in the county. And very much thanks for having the thin pork belly and thin beef belly. They didnt have them on our last review from many years ago (and I just noticed I should've updated my review long time ago. sorry for the long delay).

We had a lovely experience from start to finish. We were warmly greeted at the door, and our food and drinks arrived very quickly. I really enjoyed using the new tablet--it made ordering simple and convenient. Everything was served promptly, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The ventilation for the barbecue was excellent, which made the dining experience even more comfortable. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family, and I highly recommend this location.

Decent experience. Didn't love it but didn't hate it. The food was decent overall, nothing special. Service was good and food came out at a good pace. Good first experience, would I come back? Probably not, not because of anything in particular, I guess the food didn't really amaze me in any way but I would definitely recommend people to come try it :)

Came here with a friend for lunch as they have several EV chargers in this Park and Shop shopping center and my friend needed to charge her car. The place is similar to the Ohgane at Alameda South Shore. They had a lunch special with choice of soup, scrambled egg and bulgogi for only $20 so my friend got that and I got japchae. Both were tasty and hardy. We will come back again as the food, service and atmosphere is great for catching up

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night and had to wait about 10 minutes. We ordered on the tablet and the food came shortly. The portions for each dish is huge. It took a long time for the meats to cook. $40/person. Service was ok. They gave us the wrong food sometimes or forgot to give us food we ordered.

Ohgane Concord has stepped their game up big time! Tons of great new appetizers and meat options and I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was stuffing my face. $33.95 for dinner + $20 for premium, you can't really beat that. I think the Oakland spot is $68.99 and they didn't offer all of these cool upgrades. The premium got you unagi, waygu, beef tartar, marinated galbi, carne asada, SCALLOPS, a pork belly and a few other things I can't really remember. TheBEST appetizer they have going right now is HANDS DOWN, the Braised Short Ribs. Sooooo flavorful! I think we ordered like 4 and they give you a nice size portion! The gravy it's in is delicious and goes great with the rice. The meat was tender and not over cooked. I would go back strictly for that. They also added new appetizers and meats to the regular menu and I was loving those as well. Lamb cube steak, Tornado potatoes, butter baby baked potatoes, pizza corn cheese and so much more. I definitely got my moneys worth and will be back soon. Service was ok. I do think the service buttons should be on the outside of the table. Ours was hiding so we didn't see it until the end and we spent a great deal of time flagging down waiters. I am giving them 4 stars because of the cleanliness of the grills. All of them need a deep clean underneath the grill plate. So black and crusted over with soot and caked on food that it was very unappetizing to see when they changed the grill plates. As a place where grilling is all you do, that should be apart of the daily clean up.

There's a little bell that you ring for service which they don't bother you during your meal. Service is quick and good, very attentive to the grill and switch out as soon as it has build up when it turns black. The wait was not too bad on a Sat evening, maybe 5-10mins. There's plenty of parking, the table and setting is room so you won't feel crowded even on a busy night. There are plenty of meat choices and quality is good. Will definitely go back.

One of the best KBBQ spots in the area! We came in for a table of 2 for dinner on a weekend, and only waited a few minutes before we were seated. We came in about 2 hours till closing, and they still seated us. Plenty of tables throughout, with barriers to help with privacy. An extensive menu with a very attentive staff. They made sure to check on our table despite it being very busy. They always checked if we wanted more meat, and verified our ordered before sending it to the kitchen. Service was quick, and we always had something cooking on the grill. Meat was seasoned and proportioned nicely for only two diners. The sesame oil with the salt/pepper, onions, cheese corn, and steak were my favorites. Would love to come back!

I met my friends Sarah and David for dinner here on 11/04/2025. We walked in at 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the lone female server, who seated us at a table towards to back of the restaurant. The interior was very clean, and lighting was soft and warm. The giant restaurant logos on the walls were prominently displayed. Their menu featured a wide array of appetizers, soups, bibimbaps, cold and hot noodles, meat dishes, etc. We opted against their signature kalbijjim and instead got three entrée combos (L.A. galbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi). Each entrée came with our choice of tofu soup. Half a dozen banchans were brought to us before the arrival of the entrées. The buchu (chives) and baechu (Napa cabbage) kimchi were excellent. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Portion wise, the tofu soups were of decent size, but the meat entrées were kind of stingy (they were served in small round skillets). I had the seafood tofu soup and it was very good. It was loaded clams, shrimp, and squid. We shared the entrées, and they all tasted great. The only gripe I had was a couple pieces of the galbi had very little meat on them. Service we received was great. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The total was somewhere around $130 (with a bottle of soju, a tangerine slushy, and a soda). Overall, we all thought the food was good. Return trip very likely. 4 stars. Gen was the first K-bbq spot I ever tried, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. Over…read morethe years, though, so many K-bbq restaurants have opened up that unfortunately Gen kind of slipped off my radar. But this week, something came over me, and I decided to give it another shot. Lunch was about $22 per person as of June 2026. I remember going to the Concord location years ago and feeling like the portions were pretty small, even though you could order it as many times as you wanted. This time around though, our experience was completely different. Every order came out piled high like a mountain of meat. Everything was fresh, the marinades were on point. On top of that, our server was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, if I could give this place six or seven stars out of five, I would!!! Honey Soy Beef Belly: Absolutely amazing. The beef was sliced thin with the perfect ratio of meat to fat. The sweet and savory marinade complemented the richness of the beef belly oh so perfectly. I also loved the generous amount of green onions they sprinkled on top, which made this dish even more inviting. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. Beef Belly: This is basically the unseasoned version of the Honey Soy Beef Belly, so the quality of the meat was just as good. The nice thing is that you can customize each bite with the seasonings at the table, whether it's Green Tea Salt, Sesame Oil, or Sweet Soy Sauce. Simple but delicious. Bulgogi: Bulgogi has never been my favorite since I usually prefer savory over sweet, but this was still very good. The beef was tender, the marinade was flavorful, and everything was well balanced. That said, I'd still pick the Beef Belly dishes over this one. Chadol: This beef brisket used to be my go to order at Gen. Somewhere along the way, though, they switched to a leaner cut of meat. So now it wasn't quite as tender as I remembered. Still though, the meat was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it really comes down to your personal preference and whether you enjoy a leaner cut or a fattier cut. Pork Belly: Thick slices of unseasoned Pork Belly that you grill yourself and cut into smaller pieces then dip in Sesame Oil and Salt? Yes please! These were incredibly satisfying. Once cooked, the pork was even still tender and juicy. Easily my favorite pork option. Spicy Marinated Squid This dish had that classic Korean spicy sauce that balances sweet, savory, and spicy flavors super duper well. The squid stayed tender after grilling, it was amazing. I'd definitely order this again. Hotteok: A Korean style pancake filled with Brown Sugar and Peanuts. It's definitely a heavier dessert after a bbq meal than what I usually prefer, but it was still really good. The outside was pleasantly chewy (mochi like texture), while the filling was warm, sweet, and gooey. Kimchi Fried Rice: Don't sleep on this one because their Kimchi Fried Rice was fantastic. It had the perfect balance of tang and savory flavors, and it paired well with all the bbq meats. Super yummy.

I also requested an additional side dish, but it never arrived. Even my drinks were served late. While the prices are reasonable, the quality of service needs significant improvement. Was looking for a good hot pot place, and was in the Concord area…read more So I'll start with what I didn't love, but I did think it was a great gimmick for the area. The music was way too loud, almost like a night club - where you have to practically raise your voice to talk. It's great for guys, where their voice projects, but it's more difficult for anyone that has a bit higher. There are no tongs (but they will give you extra chopsticks). Also, the individual induction units are right on the table, instead of inset. This causes the potential of hot soup base spilling as a more likely experience for clumsy people. For the thing I love about this place? First... value for money. $29.99 per person for all-you-can-eat hotpot? This is amazing in this age where an entree is like $25-30. Appetizers are ordered 2 at a time, and meats are 6 at a time. Meats only come one on a thin tray, which holds about 4-6 slices. So you'll be ordering other helpings, since there are I believe 5 beef selections, and a pork and chicken selection (7) total. The middle of the restaurant is a large bar where you get everything that isn't a meat. The selection of vegetables, and noodles are pretty vast, and almost always refilled. The seafood area has shrimp, clams, tilapia, and mussels. Sauces area also on the sides which makes it pretty much an on-going motion. It's not the high-end of hot pot by any means, but the ambience that they're projecting works for the area that it's in and how they compete with the rest of the restaurants in the area. But for the money? I'd go here. We did sit in a side-middle area where it wasn't a booth. However, they made sure to separate out the seating so that if you were a group of 3, they situated in opposite ends to create space. That attentiveness of spacing actually created a better atmosphere which was a small thing, but a smart thing. Love that they actually celebrate birthdays with banging of pots, and wishing well. It's something that is fun for groups and definitely nice if you happen to be celebrating a birthday! Definitely will come back.
