First time eating here and I would say the ambiance and service was exceptional. The place does get busy during lunch and on the weekends. Although we made reservations we still had to wait some time to get seated. We had to ask several times for certain items. I had the Kiwi Strawberry Slush and i would not recommend it. It is too sweet and has a very funny taste to it. I had to dilute with alot of water and ice to make it easy to drink. They do have a good selection of items and meat on the menu. Although it is all you can eat, I dont think its worth the price. The bill came out to around $300 for just 7 of us. I wish they also gave us the option of taking food to go and not charge each person $10 for leftovers. read more

I went to the Alameda location before trying this one in Concord and let me tell you, I was so disappointed. The Ohgane in Alameda was pristine! CLEAN, amazing service and the quality was just *chefs kiss* but this location was just busted af. Dirty, horrible service, and the meat was just okay. The gyoza they served us tasted like it had been sitting all day. All of the dishes were dirty, my water had an oily film on it as well, someone else in the reviews said the same thing. I went to the bathroom and there was shit smeared on the walls. The only plus was our waiter. He was nice but I don't remember his name. He was a young Hispanic dude. Honestly I was so excited to come here because my first experience was great. I'll probably never come back to this location and just go to Alameda or Oakland next time read more

The waiters were really attentive, they made sure to come around every so often to check on us and see if we needed anything else. The inside is modern. The only meat that really stood out to me was the LA short ribs, the rest was bland and rubbery. I sat in the back corner near the kitchen, the oil was splashing to my legs under the table when we were cooking. I thought the cheese corn was okay, I assumed it was going to be slightly sweeter but it had a sharp taste. Still decent though, I would order it again. We tried the peach soju, that was really good and slushie. Meat seem so bland to me and there wasn't any good sauce to dip it in. Enjoy! read more

They're open for outdoor dining! They have limited tables currently only 4. Visited last weekend with a couple gf and ordered the ayce. Changes to be aware of: you don't get to cook the meat yourself, the food comes prepared. The day we visited they were running out of most kimichis, including radish and traditional cabbage kimichi. Booo! What kbbq without kimchi. They provide limited sauce and had us share, which was fine. If you wanted your own just request more. They were super accommodating. Also majority of the utensils were plastic . And no plates were offered, not sure what's going on. Food: all very delicious short rib (a must) Pork belly (1 spicy and 1garlic) Spicy shrimp - they fried it for us, way better than cooking it myself (totally recommend) Brisket - lots and lots of brisket, yum!! dishes that missed the mark: Soft tofu soup - skip!!! I tried this restaurant in Oakland way back 2017 I believe and fell in love with the food it is great and definitely coming back if I have a chance, customer service I would say a typical Koreans they are all fast so they don't mind being friendly at all and straight up to business. read more

Update: service has definitely improved! Maybe they got new staff but it got to the point that I went to every other kbbq place except this one. Now I'm definitely coming back! This is my favorite Korean BBQ of all in Concord. Love the pork belly, brisket and short ribs! By far the best! Customer service pretty good! It family friendly but gotta come at the right time before the lines are out the door! Come before peak hours and you'll enjoy the place to yourself! Not a bad AYCE spot. I love that they have duck as one of the options for dinner. They also have a lot of side dishes variety and there is a call button if you need service. Good cuts of meats and it's a lot. They take reservations so if you make one you won't have to wait. Very clean spot. They give you the yogurt probiotic drink after dinner too! read more

09/13/2020 Lunch. Second time coming here, first time after Covid. Lots of outdoor seating and the service is fast and very friendly. I felt like some of our people in our group were very needy but the service staff was never rude or frustrated with us. There were two servers and both were very very professional and hard working. Having worked in the service industry before at a Korean restaurant I would say they were really amazing with the amount of people there eating and all the extra things they have to accommodate during this pandemic the service was spot on A+. They also helped this other group nearby take multiple pictures throughout their meal at different times and even helped bring out their cake for someones birthday. read more

Covid-19 Update This place was pretty good on taking down reservations down by phone. Pulled up, 2 tents and 4 tables. Pretty good space between parties. Food was good. Took the gf here, it was my first time but shes been there plenty of times. When we ordered the bulgogi, brisket, and beef tongue. My gf said it didnt quite taste the same like eating inside. Ill take her word for it. Even though it was different for her I enjoyed the service and the attentiveness of our server. Delicious! First timers here. I wanted to try out this place other than Gen. Oghane has big portions. I enjoyed mines with lettuce and rice paper, so yummy. We called to reserve a table for 6 for a birthday. They gave us two burners where the waiting room usually is, right outside the dining entrance. The servers were attentive as we continually ordered meat, meat, meat, meat, and veggies. The brisket and short ribs were our favorite. The bulgogi had great flavor but a thicker cut than we usually prefer. The beef tongue was really tough. The spicy squid was delicious. We ordered the spicy shrimp as well but I didn't eat that because I was too lazy to peel the shell. The female server graciously held on to our cake as we ate, then gave us utensils and a knife for cutting the cake when we were ready, and offered to take a picture for us. The burners felt like they ran out pretty quickly. Right when we started, the can ran out, and as we were finishing our dinner, it ran out again. The top could of been changed more often, but the servers were running around since the restaurant got very busy around 7pm. read more

Since indoor/outdoor dining isn't available at this time, I ordered uncooked meat for take-out, so I could still enjoy the KBBQ experience from home! I ordered 5 lbs of brisket and 2lbs of their marinated short ribs. Between two people this is definitely a lot of meat but I was able to span out the portions for 5 days! The meat keeps well in the fridge or freezer if you don't plan to eat right away. They gave us lettuce and sauce as well. Will be ordering from them again. read more

The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because of their ventilation. They NEED a to fix it! Food and service are very good. The service is fast and friendly. There is a lot of selections and variety in quality meat. Again they REALLY need to fix the Vent system. You can't be an all you can eat Korean BBQ with all the Grilling with bad ventilation. My eyes were watery the whole time because of smoke... from literally everywhere.. it really dim the experience and make food unenjoyable. I am very concern for the health of the poor servers and workers there. I can't imagine how bad their lungs would feel after working the whole day there. I am serious and they should take it seriously. read more

I was about to give this review like 2 or 3 stars at first because we signed our names and waited for the table but then when they brought us in, no one was taking care of us. But it was busy on the Independence Day and as a person who also work in this restaurant industry, I know its hard when it gets super busy, theres a lots of things you have to care about, especially when its AYCE. The only thing I didnt like was they changed the booths to normal chairs which doesnt feel really comfortable even though its easier to move around for big parties. We order brisket, short ribs, rib eye, soft tofu stew, korean miso stew, spicy squid, sea mussel, corn cheese and bulgogi. The meat was very tender, marinated sauce was decent. In my opinion for the price and waiting time, I would choose Ohgane, but maybe for the banchan I would go for GEN. However, in the middle and the very end, when it got slower, the service was getting better. They checked up on us more often and I dont feel like being rushed as I was eating at GEN read more

2022 Honest review. Concord location has better service any where else. We come here often. Beef brisket, galbi,cheese corn,spicy pork belly and steamed eggs is what we usually order. Dinner menu has more option but more expensive. I would recommend this place. read more

I've been here a few times and overall it has been very good. Both times that I've been here, we were seated promptly without any problems. They sat us down, turned on the grill, took our drink orders and off they went. The food portions are decent, even though its AYCE, each plate that comes out is filling since we didn't have to repeatedly order the same plate over and over again. It's your typical KBBQ place with a nice atmosphere. The only thing that became an issue sometimes was the lightning. Sometimes it would flicker or it would be really dim and you couldn't see what you were doing. Sometimes it was bright as the sun and it would show every dripping piece of fat on that short rib or pork belly. When you need service, you press this tiny little button on your table and if you look on the wall, you can see what position you're in line to get help. Sometimes the help comes fast, sometimes it takes a bit for them to get to you. But when they do come to you to take your order, they come back out with it fairly quick. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again for the price, service and availability. Great time with some friends and decent food. read more

Our favorite KBBQ spot in the East Bay, never disappoints! The food is always good here with decent portions. You definitely get your moneys worth here! In addition, the service is always pleasant. Between the poor customer service and the lack of satisfying side options, the overall experience was not worth another visit. While the food was decent, the service and pricing structure for sides were enough to make me decide that I won't be returning.

We walked in at 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the lone female server, who seated us at a table towards to back of the restaurant. The interior was very clean, and lighting was soft and warm. The giant restaurant logos on the walls were prominently displayed. Their menu featured a wide array of appetizers, soups, bibimbaps, cold and hot noodles, meat dishes, etc. We opted against their signature kalbijjim and instead got three entrée combos (L.A. galbi, spicy pork, and bulgogi). Each entrée came with our choice of tofu soup. Half a dozen banchans were brought to us before the arrival of the entrées. The buchu (chives) and baechu (Napa cabbage) kimchi were excellent. Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Portion wise, the tofu soups were of decent size, but the meat entrées were kind of stingy (they were served in small round skillets). I had the seafood tofu soup and it was very good. It was loaded clams, shrimp, and squid. We shared the entrées, and they all tasted great. The only gripe I had was a couple pieces of the galbi had very little meat on them. Service we received was great. Our server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The total was somewhere around $130 (with a bottle of soju, a tangerine slushy, and a soda). Overall, we all thought the food was good. Return trip very likely. 4 stars. How'dy ya'll?! *insert wave emoji* Well, partner, let me tell y'all 'bout this hidden gem called Ohgane Korean BBQ in the heart of Contra Costa County in Concord, California. First off, this place is like lookin' for a needle in a haystack, 'cause the entrance ain't on the street side. You gotta venture into the hustlin' & bustlin' Willow Park & Shop shopping center, but trust me, it's worth the hunt. Now, when it comes to parkin', there's ample parkin' that you won't need to park close to the restaurant, as you'll forsure thank me to make that trek back to your car to burn all those calories you've consumed from AYCE Korean BBQ! There's no need to fret 'bout your ride, amigo. I reckoned I'd be waitin' for ages on a Sunday night, but they got this nifty check-in system that shoots you a text message when your table's ready. Now, that's what I call smokin' efficiency. Now, the grub, for just $33.99 a head (Weekend Dinner Rate), it's a downright steal. The brisket, let me tell ya, it's sliced thinner than a rattlesnake's fang, makin' it easier than pie to grill up to perfection. The pork belly? Oh, my stars and garters! They got more seasonin' choices than a cowpoke's got boots, and it's melt-in-your-mouth tender. That bulgogi, too, it's sliced as thin as the last straw in a tumbleweed, makin' it a breeze to cook up. But here's the kicker, partner - the sides. When in doubt, pace yourself at Ohgane in Concord! Never have I felt so full that I still wanted to order more food. Call it a craze or just pigging out, but It's cold outside, and it's time for me to get into hibernation mode! Depending on how hungry you are, you have the option of picking something from the restaurant menu or going for the All You Can Eat (AYCE) BBQ or Hot Pot options. My group's chosen fare was the AYCE BBQ pick! We were all semi starving going in and felt Korean BBQ would suit our hungers perfectly. We began our first course with banchan (small side dishes including kimchi), followed with a bowl of salad, rice and rice tea (on the house). Then came an order of 3 meats; prime ribeye, LA short rib and spicy pork belly. By the last meat call at 2200, we had ordered every meat at least once, some triple, especially on the prime short steak which came out really well even when it was overcooked. A disclaimer at the bottom of the AYCE menu read an extra $10 fee would be charged for anyone's leftover food. No leftovers for our hungry hungry hippo appetite! Come time when you decide to eat AYCE Korean BBQ, make sure to bring lots of hungry mouths. Since I came with friends, we were able to order all the meats and some seafoods multiple times, so that was exciting! In addition, their potstickers were also really good! Overall, food was delicious but a little pricey at $29/ person after taxes. Waiters were prompt in bringing anything we asked for. They were very nice and adamant about having you try new things. Just a FYI from something I learned after my first visit: once you enter, promptly sign yourself onto the waiting list clipboard located sitting on the ledge of the circular foyer wall in the entryway. You'll see the clipboard when you walk in. Ohgane is my new favorite pick for best Korean BBQ in the East Bay! Ohgane was recommended to me by a friend and also a recommendation I can now make to anyone who's reading this and might want to give AYCE Korean BBQ a try. The food was okay, typical for a Korean BBQ restaurant in Concord, California. However, the banchan was lackluster and unappetizing, and the meats and seafood didn't seem fresh. This was especially disappointing considering the price we paid for the all-you-can-eat menu for four adults. We initially didn't want the all-you-can-eat option, but the regular menu had limited choices, leaving us with no alternative. This was frustrating because two of us don't eat large portions. The most disappointing aspect was the service from the main waiter, who appeared to be Korean. He was unfriendly, didn't smile, and seemed to dislike his job. While taking our meat order, he gave us a mocking look, and his overall demeanor made us feel uncomfortable. The other staff members were much nicer, and we wished they had assisted us instead. Unfortunately, the main waiter took orders for most tables, making it difficult to avoid him. We won't be returning due to the rude service and subpar food quality, which is especially disappointing considering we are also Asian. It would be nice for fellow Asians to show more kindness towards each other. I hope this individual finds happiness and a more fulfilling career. As a side note, this restaurant is located near Tang Jip, another Korean restaurant in Concord. Additionally, we visited recently during the California heatwave, and the restaurant's air conditioning was insufficient, making the space uncomfortably warm. The service: The staff was friendly and attentive, however, they are busy and make sure you grab them. Terrible service!!!! We waited 5-6 mins and the server finally walk up to us with no greeting no smile, I told he we have 2 he didn't even reply he turns around and walked away, we were not sure if we should follow him or wait. After he walked to a table he turns around the waived as us when we got to the table the table has the napkin and chopstick setting ready but the table itself was very dirty not wipe clean, server wiped it with a dry paper napkin and I could see it still dirty not u wiped it with my napkins and drinking water. Waited another 5-6minutes no menu was brought to us, my husband got up and grabbed menu from the next table. Even when he came to take order he doesn't ask if you are ready or what you like he just stood there and says nothing... I have come here numerous times, this is the worst service that I ever had....
