I tried this place based on the yelp reviews. The line was long, and we had to be someplace shortly after. They assured me we would make our appointment. The queuing was super confusing with people cutting in front of us, and then the worker having to ask them to move. I guess I didn't realize about how you have to stay in your car the whole time -- essentially it saves them from hiring another worker to drive the cars around. But in my case it meant we had to just sit in my car for nearly an hour. I really didn't like that. Then when we finally got to the front of the line, there was a lot of attempted up-selling. They asked me if I wanted my tired pressure checked (after the original worker telling me it was included). They asked me if I wanted the oil run through some kind of filter cleansing system for an additional fee. There were all kinds of additional things they wanted us to buy, but we had another appointment. The whole experience was super stressful, we inhaled a lot of car fumes, and it felt like a waste of my time. They did change the oil, and we were on time for our next appointment. read more

Ok experience. TLDR: I prefer SpeeDee Redwood City, but they're not open on Sundays so this place worked better with my schedule. I would go here again if I was only available to get my oil changed on a Sunday. Pros: -They check all your lights for you. -It's pretty fast: I was there a total of 35 minutes. 20 of that was waiting for the cars in front of me. (There were two at 1pm on a Sunday.) -They're nice. -Open Sundays, which is why I went here instead of my usual SpeeDee Redwood City. Cons: -Since I stayed in the driver's seat the whole time, they didn't get in the car and reset the Maintenance Required light for me. I googled how to do this, and luckily it's easy to do in a Prius. This may be more of a hassle in other cars. -More expensive than SpeeDee, which has a coupon for about $29. Here, an oil change is $46 regular and $70-something synthetic. The $5 off coupon they have attached to the orange button on their Yelp page expired back in 2016, so I didn't even try to print it out and use it. Unsure if they would accept it if you just showed it to them on your smartphone. read more

I will never recommend anyone to come here for any work done on their car. I had my car transmission fluid changed here about 2 years ago. I know it was a bit long ago but this was just the beginning of covid so right after this change, I would say within 2 months after this, we started working from home. No one touched my transmission before or after this (first and only owner of this car). Oh, the only reason I went here to do a transmission fluid change was because my car told me that it was time to do it. After this fluid change, the car was running pretty smooth and only things I did after that was to get groceries with this car. About 4-5 months ago, I started going back to the office more then I heard some strange sounds from the car. I went to another oilchanger (San Ramon) to ask them to check since I was worried that this sound is from the transmission or engine and to do a fluid check and a oil change while I'm at it. They said there wasn't anything wrong with the car. So I drove away thinking it is probably just getting older (7 year old car at this point) but after another 3 months, I started hear more and more grinding noise then I went back to this oilchanger (pacifica) to ask them to check on the transmission fluid. THEY told me the fluid level is topped off and nothing wrong, A week later, my coworker told me to check with my mechanic which I did and found out that the under part of the engine/transmission is covered with transmission fluid and wet also my mechanic to check on the car to find out the transmission has absolutely no fluid inside. (By this time my transmission is totally dead and needed to be replaced or rebuild. $3500 to rebuild and $5800 to replace, not including labor to install which is around another $1100) Calling oilchanger customer service is a whole experience I would never want to even consider doing again in my whole life. ( I have recording of my whole "talk" with them) The guy even told me that I needed to change my transmission fluid once ever 25,000 miles which is a total lie since it states in my HONDA CIVIC manual that it is 60,000 to 100,000 miles and remember that I only did it because my car told me to so if it was suppose to be 25k like he said, why didn't the car told me? read more

Okay so I came for the first time for an oil change on a Sunday morning (11am). When I arrived there was a car being worked on and 2 cars in front of me. I expected to wait a bit for my turn but never did I imagine it would take me 2.5 hours!!! Worst thing was that once you're in line, there's no way of getting out. They even squished all the cars together so more cars could fit behind us. Ridiculous wait time for the 20 mins they took to change my oil. The workers were nice but they didn't even apologize for the wait. I think my lane was slower than the other though so It may have been an inexperienced /slow worker ? Who knows but I would not recommend this place at all unless you're willing to take a chance and waste 2+ hrs in line. Will definitely not come back. read more

Do not go here!!! This place beyond sucks. They somehow managed to use the wrong oil, and half as much as I paid for. I have a Prius- rather common car. It takes 5qts 5W-30. They charged me $100 (wtf?!?! Sounds like a lady-tax if there ever was one) and put in 2 qts 10W-30. I got half the oil I needed and it screwed up my fuel economy. And I had to pay for a second oil change. To top it off a place called "oil changers" couldn't figure out how to reset my oil change light. Also, they're rude. All around bad. Update --- this place messaged me here, I reached out, got several voicemail boxes, NOTHING WAS DONE. So, before you think they reached out and the problem was fixed, the reply was for PR, it was never addressed. This place beyond sucks. read more

Don't go here! They take advantage of people that never look under the hood! I usually change my own oil (or get my bf to do it). When we do it, we use an authentic Toyota oil filter. One time, we were both too busy to do it ourselves, so I brought it to Oil Changers. They charged me for changing the oil AND replacing the oil filter. The next time I changed my own oil, lo and behold, there was a Toyota oil filter on my car! They never changed my filter!!! I looked on my receipt and they had charged me for replacing the oil filter. For those that don't know, they never use authentic Toyota filters at Oil Changers, Speedee, or Jiffy Lube. They use the cheaper generic oil filters. Like the Safeway brand for Toyota. Anyway, learn from my mistake in bringing it to Oil Changers, go somewhere else! read more

Each car in front of you takes about 20-25 minutes, so keep that in mind when determining how much time you have. But when the line is short I think this is a great place to get your oil changed. Cost is average and comparable to other places. The great thing is that you save a lot of time. They will try to upsell you on other stuff, but you are free to say no. There isn't any pressure to force you to do pay for anything extra if you don't want. Great place. I will continue to go here in the future. read more

I'm not sure why the bad reviews...I've been here a couple of times and always had a good experience!!! You know what I love best about it?? DRIVE THRU/WAIT IN YOUR CAR SERVICE!!!! Now, when I come here, I'm only getting their full service oil change (just under $40.00) and sometimes the car wash for $5.00) Of course if you come here mid day Saturday, yeah there are alot of cars, you'll have a bit of a wait. Go during the week on your lunch hour (you can stay in the car and eat your sandwich) while they service the car and you'll be in and out in 30 minutes or less! Sure, they occasionally try and "add on" other services...air filter replacement, etc...I always just say "no thanks" and they move on, they don't hassle you! (Frankly, I prefer to get actual repairs/service done elsewhere, but this place will give you a perfectly good oil change and it's fast and reasonable and while you are in your car, not stuck in a drafty waiting area with sketchy types and bad FM radio and 10 year old magazines! read more

I only give one star because negative stars are not an option. DO NOT GO HERE. I went to this place for my last oil change because I happened to be in the neighborhood, not because it was convenient to my everyday routine. When I went to my regular place this week to get my oil changed, Oil Changer's had screwed down my oil filter cap so tight that no one at my regular place could get it off, so after 30 minutes of trying, they sent me back to Oil Changer's to fix it. I had to make a special trip from the city, and drove the 20 min back to Pacifica. They were SLOW. I had to wait 30 min for them to even take my information (and I watched 2 cars go through the other lane in that time). Then they spent another 30 min working on my car. They went so far as to show me all my fluid levels and pull me forward as if it were time to pay before they told me that they weren't able to get my filter cap off either. Had they let me know sooner that there was a problem, then I would have told them to stop trying and give me the name of a mechanic who could help me. They obviously do not value their customers' time. These guys are SLOW, RUDE, and too INCOMPETENT to do something so simple as screw on a cap. I would not recommend them to anyone under any circumstances. The poor guy who pulled in right behind me had to watch FIVE cars that arrived after him go through the other lane before he was serviced. (On the other hand, the side-by-side comparison of Oil Changers vs. Oil Can Henry's makes me appreciate Henry's, which really is a five-star establishment. Spent one minute waiting in line for a car wash after getting my car manhandled by C- graduates from Sequoia Institute and I had a complete flat tire. 35psi to 0. These "bros" working there broke the tire valve nozzle on my back right tire and claim no responsibility. This place is great if you need to get our oil changed after 5 pm or you want it done quickly. It only took them about 15 minutes to change my oil and there was no wait. It was pretty pricey at $43 but for the convenience of being able to get my oil changed after 5pm and getting it done so quickly was worth it, I guess. What isn't worth it is how they tried to rip me off. One of the guys came over and told me that he had an odometer that reads the coolant and it could be wrong but it says my coolant is bad. It isn't helping me anymore and it says it has been 30,000 miles since I had new coolant. I asked him to repeat this to me because I thought it sounded so ludicrous I wanted to make sure I wasn't hearing things. Let me point out there was a sign when you drive up for a coolant service for $65.99. I informed him I had just gotten a new radiator and coolant about 3 months ago. He continued to tell me my coolant was bad. So over all if you are willing to pay a bit more to get a quick oil change outside of the usual mechanic's hours of 9-5 then this place works just take the issues they tell you your car has with a grain of salt. read more

THE ABSOLUTE BEST SERVICE! The people who work here are extremely extremely knowledgeable and kind. They're all very honest workers & really reflect great customer service. I brought my car here for the first time & was so happy, so I recommended my mom go & she loved it. She even bought the deal for the four oils changes. The oil changes are priced well compared to other places & the service is super fast. It's also a drive thru which I thought was super cool! You also get $2 off the car wash if you get your oil change done. I highly recommend getting the oil change packages because you do end up saving money in the long run. I drive a Ford diesel truck and from experience know that oil change places don't always stock my oil filter. So I called ahead to ask how busy they were, told them my truck make, and they said to come on in. I waited in line for 30+ minutes, and then once in the bay, was told they couldn't change my oil because they didn't have my filter in stock. Frustrated, I called the franchise owner and told him the situation. He was understanding and assured me they would get the filter by end of day. If I went back the next day, I would get a free oil change. So, here I am the next day, sitting in my truck while they change my oil-as promised. They saw the issue, addressed it, and made me a happy customer. Great job Kareem and the owner. --------- Next day- I made a delivery 90 minutes from my house. The truck sat parked for 3 hours. Minutes after I left my customer called me to tell me there was s large oil pool where I was parked. I immediately pulled over and looked under the truck-sure enough there was a steady oil leak. I call Kareem at Skyline Oil Changers, and told him of the situation, and that I was in Sonoma (60 minutes away). He told me there was a Oil Changers in Sonoma. I got there in 10 minutes. I pulled up in line, and a moment later was approached by a worker. He said, " you have a leak?" I said yes, and he got me in ahead of the other cars. I am currently sitting in my truck awaiting a diagnosis and repair. Turns out the bolt which caps the oil filter was put on wrong and got stripped. PJ (the manager in Sonoma) has it repaired. I've had my car's oil changed at this location probably half a dozen times and I never thought to leave a review because it was always quick and exactly what I would want and expect out of an oil changing station (that's a good thing). - I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes (the time it takes to service the car that pulled in ahead of me. If they're taking you on the spot, don't be ridiculous and ding them for having to wait for the car that SHOWED UP BEFORE YOU. Maybe YOU shouldn't wait until the last minute to get YOUR oil changed). - I'm always offered add-on's, but I never feel pressured to buy and I feel as though most of the recommendations for my vehicle are legitimate (probably because I'm bad about servicing it so anything they offer probably is beneficial to my car, haha.) - It's maybe a little more expensive than going to your mechanic or local gas station. I paid $38 for the basic oil change the other day. Well worth it for the convenience, in my opinion. - And the staff here is attentive, polite, prompt, and thorough. Really nice guys.
