A 3 hour wait for a safety check! I thought I would get there 15 minutes before the 7:00 AM opening time (on a Tuesday) and hopefully the wait would not be long. Boy was I mistaken! When I arrived, there was a line of about (I will guess) 10 cars, entering the facility, backed up along N. Cane Street, then wrapped around Center Street, about down to the bus terminal entrance. I wasn't quite sure how long the wait will be, so now that I'm retired and (supposedly) have time, I entered the queue. I had initially planned to do an oil change and safety check the same time. After about 5 minutes, a worker came by, asking me (and other cars) what I needed to do. So it was explained that the line I was parked in is for the safety check, and if I wanted to get an oil change after my safety check, I would have to exit, go around the block, and get into line again! Even though knowing they have 3 service bays, apparently they do not do safety checks concurrently with oil changes. Not sure why; whether they have only 1 (very busy) certified inspector on duty, or they have only 1 set of equipment (the iPad) to do safety checks.... IDK. As I got closer, it did not seem like the other 2 service bays were used much as hardly anyone was doing oil changes or other service at that time I was there. In my unformed opinion, I wonder whether if both these facilities and personnel could be utilized more optimally. Anyhow, the line moved every 12 - 18 minutes, so when a car is finished, the queue moves up a bit, stops, then repeats. So doing the math, looks like there were about a dozen cars before me! So Beware! If you want a safety check at this location on a weekday morning, might want to think about getting in line EARLY, and hopefully you're closer to the front! Or perhaps in the midday, the queue might be shorter... I really don't know... read more

Stopped by after work as my engine light had been coming on. They checked my oil and coolant and topped off needed fluids. They always treat me well, so I'm a repeat customer. read more

Stopped in to have our Volvo oil changed and while they changed the oil (after having to get the part at the auto shop next door in order to take it off) they were unable to reset the "oil change" / "maintenance required" on the dash that the oil had been changed. read more

Went in for my regular oil change typical oil change day when I had to pay he had to swipe my card again bc there system wasn't reading but a few days later checked my bank acct and they charged my card twice and I never got my $114 refunded back to me. I went on a Sunday, early morning to get an oil change and the service was great. We spent no more than 40 min there and the person conducting the oil change was very informative and let us know exactly what was needed in order to flush our system out. We paid about $160 because of sludge and premium oil but for the convenience and speedy service I highly recommend this place. Go early because there's always a line. read more

Fast service, nice people, never an issue. We bring both vehicles here. I need full synthetic, so it's more than the cheep stuff. With a military discount, I pay the same here as I would on post but I generally don't have to wait and I can stay in the car with my kids. Check in on Yelp for a $10 off coupon. They top of at 3k miles if you have a longer mileage than that (mine is 5k miles). He even helped me reset my "change oil soon" warning, which I can never figure out on my own. I will be back. I can't believe I've gone this long without having ever taken advantage of the awesome efficient service at this place! My car was in desperate need of an oil change and the hubby mentioned seeing an oil changers in Wahiawa that bragged a 15 min service from start to finish. I was skeptical so I decided to put them to the test. Obviously from the 5 star review they didn't disappoint! We actually stayed in the vehicle the whole time the work was being done! I was in awe of how efficient they were. We waited in our car behind the car in front of us for maybe 10 minutes and when it was our turn the timer started. It literally took them 15 minutes from start to finish! I was thoroughly impressed. I decided to take advantage of a buy 3 get 1 free deal they had for oil changes and ringing that up took just about as long as the service itself, lol. Our technician handled the transaction and said he would ring up the special first so that we could use the 1st one for the service he had just done, awesome! There is also a $5 off with Yelp check in. Unfortunately, I couldn't use it since I was already getting a discount with the buy 3 get 1 free. After discovering this place I will not go anywhere else for my future oil change needs. These guys are absolutely awesome! read more

Went oil changers wahiawa yesterday, Saturday at 515pm to change my oil. The lady seen me and walked away then a male came up to me and said we close. I told him its says 6pm closing. He said no we close. Last hour for cleaning. So today at 415pm I went again to change my oil and they are closed again. Cones are blocking the entrance so i didnt get to speak to anyone. They just a cilustomer that brings 5 cars there. Went to Waipio oil changers!! Wow such friendly excellent service!!!!! Found my new place to change my oil!!!!! It takes about 20 minutes for this station to do each car's State Inspection. If you're 3rd in line you will wait more than an hour. If you're 9th expect to wait until noon if you came at 9AM when they close the line. They have only one guy and he is VERY meticulous. Be sure your car is perfect. read more

The service when getting oil and fluids changed is not great. Really just a joke of a shop, only good for safety and they can't even do that right. They only do safety one day of the week and you have to essentially guess when it will be. read more

This was my first time coming to this location. Usually at other locations the technicians are a little stand offish. Coming to wahiawa I was greeted and helped by Nathan. I was contemplating on what kind of review I would give this place. Went on a Sunday for a safety check but their inspector was done for the day. Went the next day and I was 4th in line but it took about 90 minutes. Service is excellent though. Thorough and efficient. This is the first time I saw someone actually removing their tint because it didn't pass. The first car in line took super long because I think they needed to fix something so they did it there. If I was that driver, I would have done the same. It looks like they could have used more help but I didn't know if staff were out sick. Just need to be patient! I took the opportunity to talk story with my daughter and I also played a dozen rounds of candy crush! Lol!!! Next year, I'll bring some snacks and maybe take the opportunity to catch up on some work or watch Netflix or something. It's worth the wait! read more

Went early and there was already a line. Noticed an employee going to each car and found out that you have to sign up for an appointment. Came back after two hours and the more I decided not to go back! An employee who seems to be in charge was rude and over reacting. Had a miscommunication with another employee and I thought I could drive into the carport and I saw him screaming and very animated for me to back out! He was not friendly even to his co-employees. If you're going to have ONE employee that does safety checks you should post the schedule OR DONT DO SAFETY CHECKS. This is the second time I waited to be first in line, only to learn the ONE employee was on vacation the first time and off on Thursday's the second time. What a gigantic waste of time. The service here is great but... todays was frustrating as I went to get a safety check early this morning there was a sign was up at 8:10 am "No vehicle inspection" and because of this I had to go to another location to get my safety check. This is concerning because when I called the day before I was told by the staff that the vehicle inspection hours are 7:30 am - 12 pm and to arrive early (in which I was there at 8:10 am) as the line gets long quick. In regard to the safety check on the weekends, this was my second time experiencing this in two months. Went to get my safety inspection completed. Showed up on Saturday( Mar 12th) about 2:30pm I was told that they stop at 1200 pm and that I could come back the next day. I show up the next day and they tell me they don't do safety inspections on Sunday. Now I have to find time during the work week to get it done. Seems weird to limit those hours during the weekend when people actually have time to show up. I would rather not have to leave work for a 10 min job. read more

I went for safety check because my registration expired, I was the only one there. I was asked to lift the hood and then the person helping me left me sitting in the car while he went to do an oil change. I sat there at least 10 minutes. Safety check shouldn't take this long, I've had many. So, manager (I assume, he was wearing different uniform), is finally told to hurry and come out because I need to go to DMV. Seems like he didn't want to come out. I also overheard the employees talking about how lazy he is. He gets done by just walking around the car & taking photos in his iPad and tells me to come back at 7am tomorrow. Mind you, it's only a little after 2pm. He says I'm his last safety check for the day even when I told him I'd be right back as I needed to go to DMV to get my registration and I have to go to work tomorrow. He tells me, well you have 30 days to do it. And walks back inside. Looks like same manager that has been complained about. Don't go here, there are other places with Aloha Spirit & are courteous to people. Ok, so just took my car to complete the safety check and was told they close at 3pm?! Where is that posted???? Was going to leave but then an employee went through the line asking what service I needed. Didn't realize that most of the people in line needed a Safety Check. Only 4 people on line needed an oil change the other 16 needed Safety Check. Whew! So the oil change only took a short time. Glad I didn't just leave and come back another day. A few weeks ago I brought my car in to get my safety done. It was 9a. There were 3 cars in front of me, so I thought it wouldn't be that bad. I sat there for 2 hours (before it was even my turn). I had no way out either! I was trapped in line! Getting annoyed watching the inspector walk around, talk stories, I mean i get it... you need a break here and there. But this was ridiculous! Also, 1 of the 3 cars in front of me failed right away cuz of the tint so wasn't really in the Bay Area very long. When it was finally my turn, I think I sat there for 30-45 min. He walked around, checked all my lights, blinkers, horn... then stopped. Then started again maybe 5-10 min after. Popped my hood, he leaned in with his flashlight for like another 5-10 min. Then stopped. 5 min later he walked around and opened and closed all my doors. Stopped. Then made me turn the wheel while he inspected behind, then did the other side. Then he was on the ground looking under my car for a little while (I thought he was sleeping). I get he "needs" to check the cars, but can he do it without interruptions and a little faster?!
