Please do not go there. We had two issues with them. (1) Presumably because I have long hair and wear a skirt, they told me I needed my truck brakes changed SOON. We're not stupid, so we got a second opinion. Other place said brakes have hundreds of miles left. (2) MUCH WORSE: we had the oil changed on our F-150 in 11/2025. The oil light has been on ever since. Took it to Ford in town and they said it would be $ 4000 to fix it!!!! Oil pressure sensor is now messed up. That's either Midas' fault or a gigantic unfortunate coincidence. I suggest you not take your chances! read more

Had an appt at 8:00 for an oil change and safety check. They quoted us about an hour and a half to two hours so we decided to wait there. The oil change was done in about an hour. From that time til when we left (10:20) they took people after us that just came in for safety checks. There seems to be only one person that does the safety checks and he is a big, sloth-paced guy that takes a 15 minute break between each car and then takes 20 minutes to do the service. ( I know because I sat there waiting from for over an hour) The rest of the guys were busy doing everything else (and they were pretty busy). read more

Car inspection, quoted me $1,150 for brakes and rotors on back of my truck. rotors were recently replaced with last brake change. and pads were still over halfway good. when I asked why they were quoting me to change rotors, they said "we don't just slap new pads on, we always replace rotors too." Then they "closed inspections early" at 1:30 when they told me they would accept them untill 2. I requested to speak to the manager, and he was in the back doing payroll and wouldn't be able to talk. For a second i thought Midas was good but after a month we notice my car started making noise so we thought it was low on oil. Went to a different place called oil changers and upon checking our oil, there were apparently no oil the whole time we damn had our car since Midas "change it". We are in a big loan with this car just to have MIDAS F IT UP FOR US!! WE ARE MADE OF MONEY HERE, we are just trying to get by to get our family to their work and appointments!! I use to be a secret shopper and Midas Wahiawa was one place i evaluated (2006-2015). I have been using them since because of what great staff and service they had. I do not know what happened to this place, but in the last 12-18 months, they have gone WAY downhill. I called 4 times to schedule an appointment, left a message, no response. Used their website, requested an appointment, got a "received you request" email, saying that they will send a confirmation. They never did. I called them the day before my requested appointment, left a message and never got a response. They apparently do not need my business, so they will never get it again. a shame. read more

My husband and I own 2 cars. One is an older 2005 Pontiac and the other is a 2012 Corolla. When we came here the last time, my Pontiac was in desperate need of repair and maintenance before it was able to pass safety inspection. My husband usually drives the Corolla and I had fallen behind on maintenance of the vehicle to the point where the front brake pads are grinding metal to metal, the battery is about to crap out and oil change and tire rotation desperately needed. The guys over at the Wahiawa Midas gave me a quote of $1,704 and we're able to rework the amount down to about $1,500. Super grateful that they were able to apply some discounts with the vehicle that we brought in today and were able to do all the necessary maintenance on ensure that the car is safe to drive and working properly! The guy on the phone was pretty rude about it, too. He insisted that he had my number written down correctly. When I said I had a mechanic and would take it to him, they did not charge me for the safety. My mechanic said I had 50 percent of brakes left, should pass. Ooh man these people are awesome! i was feeling a difference in the balance of my car and checked my left side to see a flat the back. I was in Wahiawa on my way to Honolulu and found this place and immediately they helped me out! I asked if they knew a place i could fill my tire and they instantly offered to fill it up. Filled it up and the tire kept losing pressure. So we had to pop the spare in and the guy did everything for me! I got to relax in the a/c, drank some water and watched about 5 mins of a movie in their waiting area. Before i knew it the car was ready to go! This is long over due... Midas's Mechanic in Wahiawa tried to scam me thinking I was some dumb white military wife (I'm from here btw). I came to Midas for a basic oil change. Dropped my 2013 Hyundai Elantra off at 9 am. They took 3 hours! Thank goodness I live a couple blocks away. After I payed and headed to my car... One of the mechanics approached me and told me I needed all 4 Capilars, Pads and Rotors replaced. He even pointed it out on the inspection form I had in my hand. (pic attached). I was like "huh?" Wait a minute.... I swear they told my friend (a white military wife) the same thing a few months ago. I remember her paying over 1k. I didn't even ask how much he was trying to charge me. I said no thank you, left and called Capitol Auto for a second opinion. I was able to get my car in there Monday morning and told them what the Mechanic at Midas told me. They looked over my Breaks and told me I just needed the front Break Pads replaced. I payed less than $200 and went on my merry way. I will not be returning to Midas! Remember.... Gave one star because you HAVE to give a star to write a review. THIS PLACE!!! NO!!! My husband had a bad experience there with super rude customer service prior to me making an appointment there. I called and made an appointment for 10am on a Saturday. I was told without one "I might have a long wait". Implying , make the appointment and get in and out at your scheduled time. My husband went in at 9:30 (we like to be early). He handed in his keys. At 10:10am he asked what the approximate wait time would be now that our vehicle was being worked on. He was told that our car WAS NOT being worked on. There were " 5 cars ahead and they each take about 45 minutes" . Are you kidding me?! He asked for the keys back and some snarky female associate asked the male associate that was helping my husband, with "so what's the problem" (insert stank attitude here). Super unprofessional. Super inconvenient. Super annoying to take time out of our Saturday to wind up NOT getting what was needed. Not to mention that my husband overheard them WAY over charging with phone quotes. I took my car yesterday to replace the brake and rotor because of the unusual sound in my car. Due to safety concerns, I ended up having the car fixed the same day. I was in extreme shock that a 2.00 hour work is equivalent to a $400 labor fee and $380 parts fee. They also charged me $101.24 for cleaning supplies. Staff said that their hourly labor cost is $175. Total cost for a 2.00 hour work is $$$ 812.75. I am not a mechanic, but just a standard consumer. I have done similar services before for my other car, but it was not even close to what I was charged at Midas. While I chose to avail of their services for safety reasons and I was unable to outsource from other companies, I just wanted to share my experience. It always helps to check and scout for prices, considering that Midas charges an overly inflated supplies cost (different from parts cost) of $102. Thanks read more

We used to take our company vehicles in for service - but got the feeling they were not really doing the work. He did agree with me that they could do better job at explaining services and the quotes that they give to the customers. The guy at the front told me it would be 30 min because the only guy who knew how to do inspections was on lunch. I found it hard to believe only 1 person knows how to do inspections but nevertheless I decided to wait. I was the only one there. 1 hour and 30 minutes later the guy calls me to the back saying I need break pads, wiper blades, brake flush, and some other nonsense. Funny, I just put on new brake pads 2 months ago and my wiper blades aren't even stripped. (I change them myself periodically). I also received a $800 quote and no safety check performed. They got me a new appointment and I was treated respectfully when dropping off my car. The service was quick and the whole team very polite. Worst customer experience ever!!!! I visited for an oil change and found that there was a couple hour wait so I opted to schedule an appointment for 8:30am Saturday morning 2 hours before I had to be at work. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that it would be at least 2 hours because the techs had just arrived and they had 7:30 appointments to handle. Called this morning for an oil change and to see what was causing my vehicle to overheat. I was able to be seen that same morning within an hour of getting off the phone. Outstanding service, very knowledgeable personnel, and just very helpful and convenient all around. What really sold me was David at the front desk. I was persistent in getting a coolant flush to fix my overheating issue, but he told me to hold off on it til I get it diagnosed. He ran complimentary tests on it and he was able to solve everything right there and then and saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. I was driving to work and received a nail in my tire, which caused a slow leak. I noticed the leak a few days later and took it to Midas in Wahiawa. Dar was at the counter and introduced me to his boss Thomas. Thomas fixed my tire by plugging it. He noticed my safety check was expired, and completed it the same day. My Toyota pickup got a blow out on the Freeway, put on my full size spare, visited Midas Wahiawa the next day. Dropped my truck off 7am in the morning, was greeted by Thomas. He noticed my other tires were in bad shape, recommended I change them. He also took a look at my brakes. I told him they haven't been changed in 6 years! My Ac also needed charging. I am mechanic and for fun wanted to take my car to this shop to see what they will see when I wanted oil change. After the oil change they wanted to to replace a bunch of things that don't need to and of course I played dumb and ask for a quote. Ridiculous over price for things that I don't need. They changed my oil but did not replace my oil filter. Don't go here and be tricked, go to someone else for a second look. URGENT UPDATE: Midas provided me with no concern of my coolant levels when I went in this past Tuesday. (After evaluating) Tonight my car overheated and I was stranded on the side of the road. The temperature gauge didn't even show it overheating. Popped the hood to find ZERO coolant. When talking to the maintenance member I asked about everything under the hood and was told it's all 100% then spent my night towing my vehicle home instead of driving it. DONT TRUST THIS PLACE. And yes, they'll be hearing from me tomorrow. Front desk was respectful but the maintenance crew was very rude. My friend and I were waiting for our vehicle when a lady came out asking if the vehicle in front was our. We responded "No ma'am, the bmw behind it is" and she replied "well I get to that when I get to it "as she rolled her eyes. No need to be disrespectful.
