Love this place for a quick bite. It's best for pick up/to go as they don't have indoor seating and the outdoor seating is limited with a view of a parking lot and Broadway. However, the service is quick, friendly, they have a lot of yummy options and it's cheap. My personal favorite is the spicy chicken and bulgogi combo with a side of gyoza. Oh, and the portions are huge for the price, I almost always have enough for a second meal. We love Oishi! Their teriyaki is above average and the salad is always very fresh. They give you lots of grilled chicken and it's not that pan fried pretend teriyaki. The fried prawns are also excellent! I think it's a family run place with either a brother/sister or husband/wife team in the lead. They're both very sweet and have never messed up an order of ours. Solid teriyaki, consistent and they are pretty quick. It's take out only, no interior seating. You can sit outside on sunny days though. My favorite is the Oishi hot chicken teriyaki. As far as I can tell the difference between that and the spicy chicken teriyaki is with the spicy chicken they just pour some hot chili sauce on top before serving, the oishi hot they put the hot sauce in the pan and cook it in a bit. So sad! There is new ownership. I called in my order and the person answering the phone couldn't speak English. This is my only "go to" Terriyaki or I would have given up on explaining my order that has never been a problem. Let's just say to be nice, they messed up the order and I had to go back! Been going to Oishi's for over a decade now. Something has changed, dont know what but their yakisoba is now: No fresh chicken, its hard old and stringy, WAYYY too salty, noodles were not cooked enough. Hope this straightens up because this is a good place to eat, or use to be. read more

I ordered the stir fried vegetables with rice, and got fried rice instead of white rice. Good flavor but I was a little disappointed with the stir fried vegetables. It was more of store fried cabbage and lettuce with a couple pieces of solid veggies. Flavor is good, but for $10 I was expecting more than just 80% leaf, and 20% veggie for a dish named, stir fried vegetables. Just recently moved back to the Northwest after spending the past 5 or so years in the Mid-west. Plain and simple, they don't have Teriyaki chicken out there like in the good old northwest. Since being back here, I've been trying to find the best Teriyaki chicken around the Everett area. I've tried close to a dozen, and BY FAR find this one the best. The only thing I have tried there so far was the regular Teriyaki Chicken, so this review won't be too helpful if you are searching for other things on the menu. The price was good (around $7.00). I had ordered at the window, and it took less than 5 minutes to get ready. The portion is about what you'd expect from a typical joint. The Teriyaki sauce is great, as well as the salad dressing (I recommend ordering an extra salad dressing to pour in with your rice). What REALLY makes this dish is the nice char on the chicken itself. THIS is what I've been looking for around here (plenty of char). Oishi has delivered that to me, so I will definitely heading back! (Hey it was good enough to make me hop on Yelp and post about it!). One thing that's a bit different about this place is that you acually walk up to a window to place your order. You aren't actually going inside of a restaurant to eat, so this is definitely more of a place for take-out. There was a couple benches sitting on the outside, but if you're going to be there around lunchtime, don't expect to have a place to sit. Because the parking is so close, there's very little walking (if you have difficulty walking any distance). read more

Oh. My. God. Just finished my chicken teriyaki and it was again, just wonderful. I should try some of their dishes, but the chicken teriyaki is what I gauge teriyaki restaurants by and I just keep coming back to it. No matter how many people are there, they are always polite and the cook always does it right. I've been to other yaki take out places and when they get busy, they just hurry up with your order and the chicken comes out all spongy. Oishi grills the crap out of it and I simply love it. Those grill lines, the wee bit of crunchiness, the sweet, but not too sweet teriyaki sauce...it is literally "to die for" which is why, if you are ever in or near Everett and need Teriyaki, you should add a visit to Oishi to your Bucket List. It's an old drive-in restaurant (possibly a former Herfy's) but on a nice day, you could eat at one of the two or three picnic tables. Otherwise, take it home, take it to the car, whatever, you will NOT be disappointed. read more

The yakisoba and the mushroom chicken are the best things on the menu in my opinion. It's a little stand, there is no indoor seating and it's closed on Sundays but I really urge you to give it a try. As noted above, this is a drive up, wait in your car joint. With no customer waiting area or drive-through, it is hard to give this business 5 stars, especially in the cold and rainy months (at least 10, sometimes 11). Everett isn't busting with Teriyaki joints, so this review is based on Everett and Seattle joints, which incorporates quite a few businesses. Of all of the Teriyaki-style joints in the region, Oishi is notable for being exactly like the Dick's drive-in chain - no dining room, no restroom, no waiting area, no nothing. Just a 50s-style drive-in, with a big sign and parking lot, sidewalk in front, and two windows. On the plus side, the lack of customer accommodations probably has something to do with the freshness of ingredients, wide range of menu items, excellent flavor components, good service, generous portions, and all-around quality. I don't live in Everett anymore, but if I was ever forced off the freeway by hunger, I would head straight to Oishi. read more

Don't let the location or the building fool you, this is some of the best chicken teriyaki in the Puget Sound. No frills, no indoor seating, etc, just some damn good chicken. What sets this place apart is that they chargrill their chicken without over drying it. The chicken always seems to come out moist. I typically will cater from here for some lunch meeting at work and it's always a hit. They have other dishes like Korean bbq style dishes and typical dishes at teiryaki like katsu and Yakisoba which are all decent but by far the winner is the chicken (spicy chicken if you like to spice it up a little). read more

I tried this place only because of the ratings and was so seriously disappointed. My own standard chicken teriyaki cut so thin that it was impossible for anything but burnt beef jerky style consistency of the meat to be the result. It definitely tasted as though it was anything but fresh. I know grilled chicken and this stuff was pre-fully cooked and simply stuck in a warmer well before I put my order in. My boyfriend got the spicy beef which looked nothing like beef and tasted just as disappointing. Sure there's "heaps" of rice, but don't people know how dirt cheap the rice actually is and how ripped off everyone is by getting a thin top layer of whatever meat you pay for and a huge bed of rice beneath? read more
