I've been to tons of teriyaki places in the Seattle and the Greater Seattle area and this place is pretty banging. I live super close and everything I've had has been really good. Chicken (spicy as well)/Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Katsu, Beef Yakisoba and tons more and they were all more than decent. The portions are huge, which isn't unusual for a teriyaki spot in the area and you will find that places like Teriyaki Town on 196th St in Lynnwood also have portions this big (if you're looking for big portions locally). The one thing that I can't stand about this place is the Miso Soup, It's trash and there is almost no tofu in the soup ever as well as it being very bland. Overall this place is awesome and they work very hard to make sure customers are happy! read more

Used to come here alot in 2017, food was a hidden gem. Ordered a chicken breast teriyaki and orange chicken combo and ended up with a full order of orange chicken and a full order of chicken teriyaki breast with NO teriyaki sauce on it. To make it worse the teriyaki sauce poured out like water and smelled. The entire chicken breast dish smells of a foul poopy odor. The entire order of orange chicken is a giant glob of wet breading with meat so overcooked or microwaved that its gelatinous underneath and has no strength to even hold together. SUPER DISAPOINTED... I'm not sure where the rave reviews are coming from.The food is almost terrible due to overuse of cooking oil and onions used to flavor everything. Reminded me of Safeway's Asian deli food. The "huge" portions everyone else mentions really aren't anything to speak of. Certainly not large enough to share. They've also messed up my order both times I've eaten here. Worst of all, it's way WAY overpriced. I ordered the combo for $9.99, and an order of eggrolls, and my total came to $25. When I tried to inquire about a potential mistake, the woman just stared at me like she had no idea what I was asking, but I know she knew. The first time I ate here went so poorly, I figured it must be a fluke. So I tried going back, and the second attempt went even worse. First , we ordered online and waited 20 minutes per our order. When we got her order I brought it home and it was the wrong order. When we finally got the correct order it to was not correct. We ordered extra spicy sauce and received teriyaki sauce. I had ordered and paid extra for fried rice, what they gave me was not fried rice it was right rice with carrots and peas in it. You wouldn't even notice this place if you're not looking for it. Got to say, I've never seen a teriyaki place in an old drive-thru but it totally works! Most people usually do takeout anyway. The family running it are reserved but nice. We got 1 chicken teriyaki without a salad and 2 chicken & beef combos. I was stunned at how much food $10 buys you. The bag must have weighed about 5 or 6 lbs. Given a lot of that is rice, but there's a fair amount of meat, too. It fed 4 people for more than 2 meals each. My chicken had plenty of the char and marinated flavor without the use of the extra sauce and was exactly what I needed after the bust that was New Tokyo Teriyaki in Des Moines. I don't get to Seattle often so when I do, I want TERIYAKI! I wish more places in WA would STOP using STYROFOAM. I feel terribly guilty carrying all this single use waste for a few meals worth of food. Plenty of bang for your buck here, but you have to drive all the way to Everett or beyond it seems to take advantage. read more

The salad dressing is what keeps me coming back! Oishi Teriyaki is beyond my favorite place for take-out teriyaki. I ordered the chicken breast and gyoza combination. It comes with grilled chicken breast, a ton of white rice, a green salad and 4 gyoza's. They used to have this "chicken breast and gyoza" combination as a "special." It is no longer on the menu, but they still will make it if you ask for it. Their salad dressing tastes homemade. It's a sweet, light yellow, smooth, creamy, dressing. It has a hint of honey and maybe sesame seed? I can't get enough. I order an extra side of dressing for $0.50. My meal also comes with gyoza sauce, but it seems I have to always ask for it by name when I pick up my food. Sometimes they forget. Family owned and operated. This family are all so amazingly friendly and nice. They always do a superb job with my meal. I have never seen them without a big smile! This definitely is a take-out restaurant. They do have a couple of tables outside, but mostly people come and pick up "to-go" orders. Call ahead works great! Meals are ready within 10 minutes. read more

Okay for stand food it's alright. For paying $8 for stand food, it's more meh but to be fair, I pretty much had 2 meals in one. The serving portions are huge! I got the sweet + sour chicken and teriyaki chicken... Not my favourite. It felt like I was chewing rubber, it felt overcooked. Totally legit teriyaki is being served up at Oishi! I used to go here wayyyyy back in the day, like late 90s. It's cool they are still in business and we decided to stop by to see if it was still tasty. They're obviously still in business because of the great food, large servings, reasonable prices and friendly service. Our spicy teriyaki was spicy but not overly so, high quality chicken, and their rice is nice and sticky. I really enjoyed he salad dressing too. We also had a side of gyoza which got a little soggy on our trip home but they were still really delicious. I'm looking forward to trying some other items like yakisoba etc, in hopes they'll be equally delicious. As an FYI this isn't an eat inside joint. This is normally my favorite teriyaki shop in Everett, WA! Been going for about 10 years now. However, 3 weeks ago, I got food poisoning after eating a #1 chicken teriyaki there. Unusually, I waited 20-25 minutes for my order. It was extremely busy and I had never waited that long before. There was one very, very busy cook, who didn't even acknowledge my "thank you" when I grabbed the food. To summarize, do not go if the wait time is more than 15 minutes or seems unusually busy. The food tastes great, but the quality is questionable when you have to wait that long. read more

We have eaten at this establishment four to six times in the last two years. Gotta say the food used to be better. Recently, we had Mongolian Beef which is typically hot and spicy but not at this establishment, it was over sweetened. We also had Tofu Yakisoba which was basically a large bowl of over sweetened noodles, very few veggies and the tofu was soggie. We were charged for a bag automatically although we had our own bag with us. The service is good and the wait time is also good. Hoping the quality of food will return. This is the best Teriyaki joint in Washington state, hands down. $6.98 will get you a portion of food larger than your head. The spicy chicken is the perfect blend of spice and teriyaki sauce, it is grilled up perfectly every time and the wait is minimal. When I worked up in Everett, I would come here 1-4 times a week, and after only a few trips as soon as the lady saw me walk up I could hear her call back to the chef "spicy chicken no salad!" I got my salad replaced with extra rice for no charge! The people there are incredibly friendly, I loved talking with them about how their day was going, and they remembered details about me individually on subsequent visits. The shop is owned and run by a family, the mother usually works the front, but when she is out the son takes over and I believe the grandmother works in the kitchen. I am always impressed at how friendly everyone is, and how personal the service is. You can call ahead and have it ready to pick up as soon as you get there, or you can order at the window and chat with them for 5 minutes or so until it is ready. I suggest the latter, you won't meet nicer people. They have a huge selection of teriyaki up on the wall, as well as sides and some dishes for the kids (fish and chips and such). They offer sides as well that you can get for fairly cheap. 5 stars easily, 6 if it were possible. read more

My family and I have been dining at this little drive up teriyaki place for many years. The food is so good! The portion size is astounding! The price of the teriyaki at this mom and pop owned Broadway eatery is well worth stopping in and taking a look. They also have a large selection of very flavorful teriyaki dishes and other options. I stopped here because of all the great reviews. I was very disapointed. The portions were nothing to write home about and there was hardly any sauce on the Chicken Teriyaki. I also ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and it was only lightly drizzled with sweet and sour sauce. They gave 3 extra packets but I have never seen anyone order sweet and sour chicken and receive what looks like homeade chicken nuggets. Did not help that they were dry.
