Cheap but delicious teriyaki! I feel like teriyaki anywhere in Washington is good, some are hit or miss, but this place always satisfies the cravings! I usually always get the Chicken and Beef Short Ribs Teriyaki Combo, and ask for spicy chicken, which I think is like $1 extra or something. Chicken is always tender and juicy, and I love their side salad sauce even though it's the same for most teriyaki places. Their egg rolls are really good as well and so is the fried rice. We haven't really tried anything else but who really gets anything besides teriyaki at a teriyaki joint?? One bad thing I do have to say is that the short ribs are pretty thin but the price for the combo is decent, so I'm not complaining! I thought this was a rip-off. I got the tofu and vegetable saute with rice. This was more than half noodles, noodles was nowhere on the description and why would you include it in a dish that I already had rice which I are usually throw away anyway. At least the vegetables weren't overcooked but there was probably only about a cup of vegetables for $12. Won't be back! read more

This is a great teriyaki place! There are a few outside benches that you maybe could eat it if the weather was nice, but everyone I've seen was doing take out. Portions are large, generally two meals. Hands down my favorite thing is their special the "Spicy Mushroom Garlic Chicken". It does a great job of balancing all those strong flavors without any of them being overwhelming. I always call my order in but they've always been accurate with their time estimates and food is tasty, hard to ask for anything else. read more

Wow, wow, wow. Run down old building with quite a few people waiting on their orders. I was a little hesitant based on condition of property and horrible old benches outside. Price seemed a little high but needed to feed my autistic son and this was the right place at the right time. I ordered two, three meat combos (lots of delicious chicken, a spring roll, small lettuce salad, plenty of rice, a little pork and a fair amount of a shredded beef?) Could have fed both of us with one combo and basically did. Everything was good but the chicken and beef are top notch. A real treat that I will think of many times when I am 280 miles away. I'm disappointed. Normally, their chicken curry is solid, with a tasty sauce and basic but fresh ingredients, but the latest offering was terrible. The vegetables (peas, corn, carrots, green beans) were clearly from a can, and the curry sauce was watery and under-salted and under-seasoned. Hands down top teriyaki in Everett that I have had.. I stick to the classic teriyaki chicken. The crab wontons had too much fish sauce for me when I tried one of the specials. I go here at least once a month, the portions are large and it gives me 2-3 meals. Last time my chicken tasted like gas grill.. it was really busy (around 5/6 pm) and I was a little disappointed. They have updated their order system and now have a screen and give you a number when you order at the counter then you can wait in the car or off to the side. It's usually pretty quick turn around if it's not really busy. I'm still giving them 5 stars just because it's top notch teriyaki. One of the best teriyaki joints in Everett. I have been going here for years. I love the short rib teriyaki it's a must try's if you have not had it. It's a sweet and savory taste. There chicken teriyaki is amazing as well. The teriyaki sauce is a thick consistency which I think is what makes there food so bomb. The gyoza is also very yummy and good appetizer while you wait on your food. They do not have in door sitting. I ordered teriyaki chicken takeout with brown rice. I have eaten here many times before and it was really good. This time I wanted to try the brown rice and it was terrible! It was mushy and had a sickening perfume smell to it. I really couldn't eat it and threw it out. I'm pretty disappointed. The chicken was a little overdone and mushy, but still pretty good. I ordered orange chicken and crab rangoon thru uber eats. That was probably the best part. It came fast and the delivery was non contact. The crab Rangoon was delicious. The orange chicken tasted ok but it was mostly inedible, just sauce soaked breading with dry and overcooked meat. I would guess it was the scraped left overs from the bottom of a steam tray. The portions are really big but the flavor isn't there. I substituted my rice for yakisoba again (not impressed) I paid about $12 so fair price for the portions. But the noodles were very oily, plain just bland with no veggies added just the noodles. In fact they were so oily they gave me an instant stomach ache. This place's chicken teriyaki... IS.TO.DIE.FOR! Having chicken teriyaki in Washington state is a staple like Starbucks is to Seattle but Oishi's teriyaki is amazing. From the amount of time it takes to order and receive your order to the food looking aesthetically pleasing to the flavor it was an ALL time high the entire experience! No question: this place is the BEST. This place has been my go-to teriyaki place for the past 9 years. No matter where I've lived or traveled, I always compare teriyaki joints to Oishi. Always good quality, large servings, crispy chicken, very spicy if you're into that, friendly service (Simon is super hardworking and a genuine guy), quickly prepared, etc etc. It is sort of a Dicks Burgers type storefront, so no inside seating, but there are some benches if you choose to stay. The fact that in three years of reviews, they haven't gotten anything less than 4 stars means I'm not alone. The rice and meat is always perfect. They make a mean Yakisoba too. Oishi is a walk up stand located in an old drive-in. The family that runs it is super friendly and always seem happy to serve. My only complaint is how often I have to drive by. ("Wouldn't teriyaki be good tonight? Yes, yes it would...") -- My standard rating disclaimer: I rate places as compared to other similar places. I've been to tons of teriyaki places in the Seattle and the Greater Seattle area and this place is pretty banging. I live super close and everything I've had has been really good. Chicken (spicy as well)/Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Katsu, Beef Yakisoba and tons more and they were all more than decent. The portions are huge, which isn't unusual for a teriyaki spot in the area and you will find that places like Teriyaki Town on 196th St in Lynnwood also have portions this big (if you're looking for big portions locally). The one thing that I can't stand about this place is the Miso Soup, It's trash and there is almost no tofu in the soup ever as well as it being very bland. Overall this place is awesome and they work very hard to make sure customers are happy! read more
