    Cold brew

We have been here a couple of times, when we come up to Ojai with family. The park down the street is usually where we go to walk the dogs and along the bike paths. So, we usually end up here after to enjoy the cold brews, today. They have great coffees and smoothies and teas. The pastries are few, but look great. I always wanted to try a cookie here. Anyway, a nice rest stop and a cool place to people watch. Enjoy!

Stacey is the best and so is her coffee. The coffee is amazing. The ambiance is really nice and service is great. I can't wait to come back. She even gave me and my friends a tour which we loved.

Ambiance: it's a popular coffee and desserts place in Ojai, spacious seating area inside, with standard tables, couch, and window seats Service: friendly and patient with specific requests Drink: variety choices on their menu Latte - **** classic and creamy with creative art work, recommend Price: decent quality and reasonable prices, expect about $7 per drink

Dirty chai teas outside of Ojai Coffee Roasters.

Went here a few days ago to get a boost before exploring Ojai! The cafe is a cute set-up with beautiful local art and a clean dining area. Not a ton of outside seating, but there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy around downtown Ojai! The staff were polite, answered any questions I had, and were prompt with my order. I got a dirty chai tea with a shot of espresso in it. It was a bit grainy but was warm and woke me up! I also recommend trying some of their breakfast dishes and pastries. Will come back next time I'm in town!

We enjoyed our breakfast here. I enjoyed the coffee. Bagel log was excellent. The place is cozy and staff is patient. I loved all the paintings too!

Cute coffee place and seems like there are a lot of patrons that go here. We ended up with the lavender latte because we thought Ojai was known for lavender. It kinda tasted really sharp and syrupy. I'm unsure if they extracted the syrup from real lavender or if it was fake. It just didn't taste as good as I thought it would be. The coffee itself tasted decent, but the drink was not as good as I was expecting.

Lox and Bagel Platter & Broccoli Cheddar Quiche & Berry smoothie
    Kelly L.

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon with my partner while visiting Ojai. It was very busy, and there was a line to order. The coffee shop is small but lovely. We got lucky and found a table. Great place to chat with friends or work/study if you don't mind the chatter. There is art along the walls for sale too. The cashier was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. We ordered the Berry smoothie, Lox and Bagel Platter, and Broccoli Cheddar Quiche. We absolutely loved Lox and Bagel platter. It was a bit messy to make ourselves and eat but it was great to choose how much of everything we wanted on our bagel. Tasted delicious!! The smoothie tasted alright - pretty standard. We were very excited for the quiche since we are both big fans of broccoli cheddar but unfortunately we didn't love the taste. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed most of our food. I would recommend this place and visit again if I'm in town again. Parking: Plenty of free street parking nearby

Avocado toast... actually starts out with 3 slices of toast.
    Rob Z.

Tried their avocado toast yesterday; delicious! I appreciated the type of bread they use as well as the toppings. FYI, my picture only shows 2 of the 3 slices that they serve... not sure how that 3rd slice disappeared before I took my picture!

    Cold Brew - it's fantastic!

An eclectic fun spot for a coffee or tea! Both are superb! We have not tried their kitchen items, but the menu looked good as well.

You pony up to the line, which moves pretty fast. You order your food, which will be brought to your table. All the seats are outside, most under some kind of shade. There is a large keg of water outside, that you can keep refilling your glass from. We were with a party of four; however, the two of us had the Pesto Chicken Pizza, which was yummy; however, quite a bit of the bottom/crust was a bit overly burnt -- otherwise, quite yummy. We also had the Fried Chicken Sammy with a Vegan Cesar salad. The chicken sammy was great with some bacon jam and onion. I was given a salad on the side; however, it was not at all a Cesar salad -- so I'm not sure what it was (I couldn't replicate it on the menu) Overall, a good experience; however, it just seemed that the order may have been rushed a bit creating a few too many mistakes. I would still return though.

The Farmer and the Cook -- Fresh Finds Off the Main Road…read more I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in for the first time, but The Farmer and the Cook won me over pretty quickly. It's bright, clean, and has this easy organic warmth to it... the kind of place that feels like it was put together by people who actually care. Right off the main road, easy to find, and the family vibes are real. It's the kind of spot you want to linger in. If you're navigating dietary restrictions, this place is a quiet goldmine. Strong gluten free options, a genuinely vegan friendly menu, and plenty of vegetarian choices too... so everyone at the table actually gets to eat something they're excited about. That's rarer than it should be. The food? Solid. I went with the raw tacos, sopes, and huarache; all filling, all fairly priced for the area. The raw tacos especially surprised me... fresh, flavorful, and not in a "I wish this was a real taco" kind of way. These hold their own. Service was quick and most of the staff had a warm, genuine energy about them. The one small snag; the cashier seemed to be having a rough one. A little gruff, made me feel like my first visit was mildly inconvenient for them. It happens, we all have bad days, but first impressions do stick a little. Overall though, I'm absolutely coming back. There's more on that menu calling my name and an atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down for a bit. Whether you're vegan, gluten free, or just looking for something fresh and honest... this one's worth the stop.

This ended up working out because we had two drinks and sat out at the little fire pits on the lawn and enjoyed those. There were tons of families with kids there for Easter weekend and all the kids were making s'mores at the fire pit, which was cute to watch. We were notified our table was ready at 7:25 which was nice that it wasn't later. We sat down at a table that wasn't directly under a heater and after a few minutes asked the busser if we could switch to the table next-door. He obliged and moved us to the new table and turned the heater on. We were at the front of the patio and had a gorgeous view, again out over the golf course. The staff were all fantastic. From the hostesses to bussers to wait staff, everyone was highly attentive. Ok well all that is 5 stars for sure, but on to the food. Bread and butter were tasty, the rosemary butter was awesome. Our stomachs were a little bigger than their eyes and we ordered two entrées and FOUR sides. Lamb chops and Rib-eye were both cooked perfection but didn't blow me out of the water (especially for the price). The mashed potatoes were my favorite, perfectly seasoned and buttery smooth. Broccolini was also cooked perfectly, the lemon garnish helped to bring out a little flavor, but I do think it could've used something else, a little pepper or some Parmesan. The Mac N Cheese was good but mild for my taste. A little more of the crumb topping or a dash of salt and pepper would've helped make it pop a little more. Then there was the one big miss, which was the mustard greens. I feel like I've had them before, but I've certainly had many other types of similar greens and they had one single flavor which was extreme bitterness. It was just completely devoid of any other seasoning, salt, acid, SOMETHING, although with how better it was, I'm not sure much could be done. I just can't imagine that was the way it was intended to taste. For dessert, we had the old-fashioned doughnut bread pudding, which had a delicious marionberry ice cream on top and a sharp lemon blueberry compote on the side. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I definitely return to celebrate a special experience although I'd probably be a little more selective on some of my food choices next time.
