This is one of our regular go-to places for sushi. Each bite is so flavorful. You really can't go wrong. For a family of 4, we get a bunch of rolls and if we're feeling flush, we'll get salmon, tuna and eel sushi pieces. Our favorite rolls are: Okinawa Roll Spicy Girl Ken Caryl Mango Lobster Tempura Roll Unagi Shrimp Tempura We've tried their Golden location but the Littleton location is our preference. The service is always great. Hardly ever a wait and the patio is heated when we go in the winter. Ice cold Ichiban and Sapporo beer in the summer. Clean bathrooms. I just wish they had a happy hour discounts for sushi!

Salmon sashimi and the Lover roll. Very tasty and reasonably priced.

Service was fast and attentive. Food was good. Portions were a bit small but then you can try more things.

Stopped in this afternoon ahead of the snow. The sushi/sashimi plate and the fried rice were both excellent. Strongly recommend. Very easy to get to, right off of 470.

This is my go-to restaurant for sushi when I am in the area. Their sushi is fresh, the service is great, and the price is right. They have a wide selection of Nigiri , Sashimi, and Rolls. Even if you don't like raw fish, you'll find something you will enjoy. I definitely recommend getting Oysters, Calamari, and/or Gyoza for starters when you come. The workers here are kind and welcoming. They recognized me after my 2nd visit. Give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Okinawa Sushi has been recommended to me over the years; and we finally stopped to check it out! First, their house Sauvignon Blanc at 2 for $6 was really delicious. I would actually try to buy a bottle! They had so many choices for sushi including a group of low carb options if you want delicious sushi without the rice. The low carb is wrapped in cucumber and is very fresh tasting! We also had the lovers roll, the rainbow roll, and spicy tuna and salmon. Service was excellent. Parking was free, and it was convenient from c-470 and Ken Karyl. I am sure we will stop here again!

Great food, especially the roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, and mango. I forgot the name. Nice people, great sushi chefs. Would go back.

I've only ever been here for take out but it's always good. Sushi is always fresh and prepared quickly. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Of course there is a huge fish tank and awesome Japanese decor. Along with the "sushi restaurant music" lol. All in all a great place with great quality food.

I recommend planning ahead with a reservation, as they can get busy during a dinner rush. We were visiting Colorado for a quick weekend trip and were floored by the food here. While the rolls all sounded great, we opted for an omakase experience. It is priced at market value, so I imagine this could vary over time, but they had three tiers for omakase, which I thought were all fairly priced for the amount of food included. We opted for the highest tier, which was $120 pp, and it was incredibly filling with high quality cuts of fish and a thoughtfully curated menu. The sushi chef who took care of us was incredibly kind, and it was clear he put a lot of care into the food he prepared. If you're on the fence, hop off and make that reservation and come hungry for the omakase experience!

The sushi menu is tiny compared to any legitimate sushi spot, and the menu itself was filthy. Not "a little worn," actually dirty. First impressions matter, and this place failed immediately. There was also zero indication whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so customers are left awkwardly standing around wondering what's going on. To make things worse, the entrance feels bizarre and rundown, like you're sneaking into the back of a storage building instead of entering a restaurant. If you want real wasabi, go to a proper sushi restaurant. This felt more like a watered-down imitation than a real dining experience. 1/10

The food has been delicious, hot, and full of great flavor. Plus the location is clean and always very well kept. Seen this place transform to many restaurants over the years. However, the one time I really needed some pho, the experience wasn't the same. I was excited for something hot to get my body back into fighting mode, but I was disappointed when the rare steak pho arrived lukewarm. The broth wasn't hot enough to cook the steak, which just sat there barely changing color. I'm not usually one to complain, and I was very hungry, so I went ahead and ate it, but I can't say I enjoyed it. The broth was also a bit salty, and it wasn't the traditional pho experience I expected. Typically, you get the garnishes on the side so you can add your own sprouts and lime, but here the sprouts were already in the bowl and no lime was provided. I understand variations exist, but I did expect the broth to be hot. While I didn't capture a picture of the pho I did have some pictures of the ramen I've enjoyed here on a couple occasions. Again, great ramen experience but when it came to pho, it just didn't do it for me this time.

Pho and egg rolls were excellent. Clean and well designed interior. Would go back again.read more

The server did bring out an ice bucket to put it in, but it was way too late to chill the bottle. I scoured the menu for specialty rolls that didn't come with loads of gloopy sauces on top and didn't find any. I really despise Americanized sushi rolls that are covered in sauce, but I ordered 2 of the more appetizing-looking ones along with the new style sashimi and salmon sashimi. The new style sashimi was described as coming with cilantro (which is how it usually comes) but there was no cilantro in sight and instead they were covered in copious amounts of jalapeños. The cuts were also pretty butchered, particularly given the cost. The rolls were palatable, but entirely too big for my mouth, which just makes eating a bit like choking. I did receive a small complimentary dessert, which was decently tasty. The server was very friendly, but he sort of forgot about me in the end. With all these things in consideration, I probably won't be back. given the location, I would choose Makizushico for dinner over JP Nori every time.

Gladly, it's just a short drive west on C470--less than half an hour without traffic. The restaurant was right next to the highway exit, at the former Okinawa location. The place was very spacious, with marble tables and countertop and faux wood flooring giving it a clean, crisp look. The lighting was excellent--nothing like many other dim and somber spots in town. Ordered the $80 omasake and the not commonly found dobin mushi (teapot soup). The soup, prepared with fresh fish and a variety of other seafood, was quite distinctive and savory. Pouring the soup from a teapot and drinking from a teacup was quite an unique experience. Here were the omakase. The first course featured nigiri made with madai, akami and kurodai. The second course included nigiri made with shimaaji , king salmon and chutoro. The third course featured grilled fish and tempura. The fourth course offered nigiri made with kimmedai, kampachi and enkawa. The fifth course featured nigiri made with sweet shrimp, yellowtail belly and otoro . The sixth course was a hand roll, all prepared by the sushi chef right before us. Finally, had red bean and green tea ice cream for dessert. The varieties of sashimi here were exceptionally fresh, with a sweet and briny flavor. The sushi chef's technique was meticulous, with adept and precise knife work. The nigiri was perfectly formed--neither too tight nor too loose. The rice had an good texture that complemented each sashimi's unique characteristics, making for a truly impressive experience. Highly recommended. I heard they're also opening another Izumi in Castle Rock early next year. Will definitely try that one too.
