It's rare to find a spot that draws you back 24 hours later, but this place is a total standout in Miami. Despite having a larger group this time, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was excellent from start to finish--attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced for a family dinner. We kicked things off with the Cuban sampler, which was the perfect introduction to the menu and got everyone excited for the main event. Every dish that hit the table was a hit: the Red Snapper was incredibly fresh, and the Chicharron de Pollo had that perfect crunch. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Milanesa, but for me, the Paella was the star of the show--rich, authentic, and packed with flavor. It's safe to say everything was delicious yet again. We've officially added this to our "must-visit" list for every trip to Miami. If you're looking for a meal that feels both high-quality and welcoming, you can't beat this spot. We'll definitely be back!

We dined in, and the visit blew away the food from the previous week. I really like Cuban sandwiches, so will be something my brother and I keep seeking out during short visits to Miami. We had a one-day rental car, so found Little Havana Restaurant, coming a bit after peak lunch time. It's on a major street, with surface angled parking in the back. There are a lot of wild birds in the area, with their guano being everywhere outside. It's a big dining area inside, and we were immediately directed to a prime location with views of their small lush adjacent green space, and the birds that live there. Elizabeth was our server, with water and complementary rolls being immediately offered by helpers. She and her team were great throughout, offering suggestions and bringing the food nice and hot. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu (11:30 - 18:00 M-F) and the Lunch Special Menu (11:30 - 16:00). We were greatly satisfied with every dish Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, appetizer size ($14.99) - 5 jumbo tail-on shrimp, sauteed in a scampi type sauce. It's what you expect when you douse good shrimp with a butter garlic sauce. The appetizer does not come with rice/beans, but we had plenty of it from the other dishes...loved spooning the sauce over the rice while eating. Roast Pork Lunch ($12.99) - what a deal. A dish of pulled pork with a big piece of fried pork skin on top...reminded me of the Filipino lechon, or even the Hawaiian kalua pork, with the tenderness of the mean. It came with a big scoop of rice and a bowl of red beans. Lamb Shank ($18.49) - This was recommended by Elizabeth when asked by my brother, what he shouldn't miss. It's a Cuban special, cooked in wine sauce. It was a big piece, still on the bone, coming with a big plate of rice and fried plantains. He enjoyed it, though he was struggling a bit at the end. Cuban Sandwich ($12.49) - A full size Cuban sandwich, cut in half. It had been grilled on a sandwich press with a little oil, resulting in the cuban bread being crispy at the top. It had the right mix of that same delicious pulled pork, along with ham, melted swiss, mustard and pickle slices. It was very good, great value for the price. Paying was done at the top, and we intentionally did not take any leftovers. There is a framed newspaper article from 1991 in the lobby, where you can read more about their origins.

The restaurant was practically empty, which should have been the first warning sign. We started by ordering drinks. The menu listed more than five beers, yet they only had two available because, according to them, their freezer was broken. Fine, things happen. We then ordered a Moscow Mule, only to be told they couldn't make it because they aren't a full bar. Understandable. Next, we asked for an Aperol Spritz. They didn't have that either. Finally, hoping they could at least make a simple mojito, we ordered one--only to be told they didn't have mint leaves. At that point, it was almost laughable. Then the food arrived. They served old bread that wasn't even warm. We ordered two appetizers: the garlic shrimp, which was just average, and the tuna tiradito. The tuna tiradito was easily the worst I've ever had. The presentation was terrible. The tuna looked like it had been cut with a dull rock instead of a sharp knife. The sauce was supposed to have fresh lemon and truffle oil, but it tasted like bottled fake lemon juice with some strange black paste dumped on top. It was completely unappetizing. (I'll attach a photo so you can judge for yourself.) The most frustrating part came when the waitress asked if everything was okay. We politely explained our concerns, including all the issues with the drinks and the food. Instead of apologizing or trying to make things right, she argued with us and became defensive. Customer service is about solving problems, not debating with your guests. Overall, this was an awful dining experience from beginning to end. I genuinely don't understand how this restaurant has a 4.8-star rating with over a thousand reviews because it certainly didn't reflect the experience we had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about the quality of its food and service.

Everything tasted really good and the environment was nice and welcoming. The only small issue we had was with the avocado egg breakfast. The menu description mentioned wheat toast and a caffe latte included with the dish, but we unfortunately never received those items. We also noticed the tomatoes were prepared a little differently. The menu photo/description showed the tomatoes with what looked like a drizzle of olive oil and black pepper, which ours also didn't have along with the green mix. Other than that, the food itself was delicious.

After finding parking right in front of the restaurant I was able to get a table pretty fast. The staff were very attentive. Alberth provided an excellent customer service. As for the fajita dish, the chicken had a nice flavor and it was seasoned well. The chicken was savory and had some soy sauce, it was served with onions and peppers. Every lunch dish comes with two sides. I ordered the yellow rice and plantains. Both entrees well very delicious. An overall nice lunch experience. The restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive, very hospitable and welcoming. Affordable lunch menu. Definitely recommended.

She kindly asked us to wait a bit and promised she would find space for us, and she did! We waited about 30 minutes and made the most of it by enjoying a drink next door at a Haitian pizzeria. And let me say... every single minute of that wait was absolutely worth it. From the moment we sat down, everything was exceptional. The service, especially from Grace was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The wine Vallegarcia Viognier 2022 selection was excellent and perfectly complemented our meal. We started with the mushroom croquettes and beef carpaccio, both outstanding. My friends had the octopus and couldn't stop raving about it. I ordered the fish, and it was simply amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And then came dessert... the cheesecake. We ordered one to share among the four of us, and it was so incredibly good that even those of us who didn't plan on having something sweet couldn't resist. Truly unforgettable. Idan Bistro delivers not only incredible food, but also heart and hospitality. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Unfortunately, our visit this past Monday afternoon was very disappointing. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, we were initially seated right next to the server station where orders are entered. We declined the table, and the manager thankfully seated us elsewhere. Had there not been another option, we probably would have left. I also noticed the ladies' restroom was poorly maintained, with damaged toilet seats and an overall lack of upkeep that was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. The biggest issue was the service. When our entrées arrived, our appetizer plates were still covering the table. Instead of clearing them first or asking someone to help, the food runner was practically trying to fit our new plates onto an already crowded table. This never used to happen here, as managers were always visible making sure service ran smoothly. When we mentioned our concerns, our server mostly blamed staffing and management, explaining they no longer had someone dedicated to clearing tables. While I understand staffing challenges, guests shouldn't be hearing excuses. A simple apology and notifying the manager would have been enough. When Aaron, the manager, came over, we expected him to listen. Instead, he spent nearly 30 minutes explaining that he was new, talking about his experience at higher-end restaurants, and offering reasons why things happened. We appreciated the apology, complimentary dessert, and 20% off our bill, but what we really wanted was acknowledgment and reassurance that the problem would be addressed. Adding to our disappointment was that immediately after Aaron left our table, we watched the table behind us experience the exact same issue, with dirty dishes still on the table as their food was brought out. That made it clear this wasn't an isolated mistake but a recurring service problem that wasn't being corrected. I would have given them 3 stars instead if they hadn't wasted our time so much with nonsensical excuses. I genuinely hope this location returns to the level of service that made us loyal customers. The food and drinks remain outstanding and are the reason we keep coming back. For now, I can wholeheartedly recommend the food, but unfortunately, I can no longer say the same about the dining experience.

I was in the shopping plaza at its neighbor the pharmacy to pick up last minute beach stuff when I saw Art Priori. With the name, I thought it was an art gallery but noticed the menu outside. Anastasia welcomed me and I sat at a very comfy banquette room while listening to chill downtempo edm to enjoy my lunch. Although it wasn't listed on the menu, I started with a refreshing glass of moscato. Its light sweetness was perfect to set the vibe for a beach afternoon. My appetizer was a serving of "Dates a Cheval". Art Priori amps up the classic bacon wrapped dates with a generous serving of goat cheese. The tanginess of this cheese is a delicious balance of the date's sweetness. Although it was a beach day, I was feeling fancy and not just looking for a burger (which they do have on the menu). Instead I enjoyed their Pozharsky cutlet. Served on a bed of mashed potatoes and chopped mix veggies, this is ground chicken breaded in cracker crust and flavored in a mushroom sauce. I enjoyed the original presentation and flavor. Topped with fresh berries and a light drizzle of honey, a yummy medovik (honey layer cake) closed off my very tasty lunch. This Eastern European classic is a must have!
