Haven't been to Old Chicago Pizza in a long time as it's lower on my list of favorite pizza joints. The food is good but doesn't stand out. Service was on the slow side and we had to flag our server down to order our pizzas after the appetizers were consumed. After the wrong pie was delivered, the right one arrived 10 min later. The pizza was good, but as noted , I have other places higher on my list. The best part of the night was guessing the answers to the game show on the closest TV. All in all not a bad outing.

Located in a safe part of Olathe, by AMC Old Chicago is a LOT of things but it starts with a good time. Walking in one's eyes are immediately drawn to the HUGE line of taps with all sorts of beers. Of course, right in front of them are some of the nicest bartenders in town. Now, some might be thinking this is a drinking place only, nope its more, much more and the kids will love the huge menu as well. I especially encourage dropping by when your favorite sporting event is on as they have TVs everywhere. I'll admit I've been coming to this restaurant since 2005 or so, I can't remember because it's been so long. That said one of the main features, one that you'll notice in my picture is the beer tour. That's right, drink up to 4 different beers a day which applies to a tour and after 110 beers, you complete a tour and get a cool prize! Moreover, they have holiday mini-tours that last like a month and have interesting limited time brew like (not my favorite) pumpkin brews. Do 10 tours and you get the stein like I have in front of me which allows discounted beer everytime you come in. Please note I don't think it's possible to not like a majority of the beers they have so I think you'll be fine. As for the food, there's something for the kids all the way up to the grandparents. I really like both the Buffalo Chix rolls and pepperoni rolls. Soft and pillowy filled with the meat of your choosing and it's always a hit. I also recommend the Italian nachos as it's a fun spin on the old tried and true nachos. The wings are also great and I like all the flavors unless its hot, I can't do the heat. The spin dip is also a crowd pleaser while the Bavarian pretzel stix are darn good. It's hard to go wrong with any of these and if you need a salad - I recommend the Caesar as it's tasty. As for the main attractions the calzones are dynamite. I have my favorite that I customize with olives, ricotta, onion, sausage and mushrooms which I believe is the best! Regardless of what you chose it will be good. As for pizzas I order mine just like my calzone. It's basically the Chicago 7 without peppers. The dough isn't too soggy or burnt but always comes out just right. Overall, I've never had a bad pie from Old Chicago. As for desserts, I'll leave that to your imagination but I do enjoy a few of them. Overall, Old Chicago is great for the family, a date, friends or whatever excuse you need to get out the house and drop by. The food is great and the beer has more selections that you can hope to go through in a month. Drop on by and enjoy yourself, you deserve it!

It seems that this restaurant may be understaffed. The bartender is absent from what I think of as normal bar duties like taking care of customers at the bar. They spent a lot of time running food and bussing dirty dishes. The restrooms are not well kept, which does raise concerns about the cleanliness of other locations in the restaurant which are not customer facing.

Nothing wrong with the gentleman who retrieved my order, but the rolls are overcooked and severely lacking in cheese that normally covers the top of these rolls. Old Chicago already charges a $4 "service fee" on top of every Togo order for this cheap Togo box and I assume their online ordering software. If they can't even keep the food consistent, what's the point of returning?

Food was ok the fries were very salty I had them remake them with no salt. The pizza and chicken was great . Service was good took awhile to get items we asked for such as hot sauce, napkins and a beer. There was music in the background and it was pretty quiet in the restaurant

Today my we went to lunch here and were seated promptly. The restaurant was clean and good temperature and sound level was good in the dining room. The bar seating area was louder so we opted for the dining room booths. Our server was very sweet and gave us good service and was timely in taking our order and the food came out quickly. I had the cauliflower crust pizza which was pretty good. My husband has the Jamaican jerk dry rub bone in wings and a side salad. The side salad was okay according to him and the wings were okay also. So the food in general was just okay but the service was good.

Good visit. Must've been short on staff because service was slow. When we did see staff they were very polite and quick to get us what we need. Food: The spinach dip was awful, a nearby table sent theirs back too. Fortunately the burgers and sandwiches were perfect.

Was order as a large, This is what came to the table.

We always come here fr pizza and canzone, always the best . The staff not so much. Tonight our waitress took our drink order and forget mine. Then we get the pizza we ordered....we ordered Chicago 7 large, they brought out a min pizza!!!! No sorry, no nothing, then brought our canzone out, we asked her for plates....she forgot!! We finally told her to put our pizza in a box!!! The young girls at the front when we came in,where pulling wait times out their butt!!! They told us 25 min, then the next couple 10 min and then a 3rd couple 15 min's Lol lol..... Great Food!!! Staff needs some help.

The service was poor at an off peak time. After speaking to manager was told server was sick. He should have not been waiting tables.

I saw they had $4 vodka Red Bulls, and that solidified my want to come here even more. I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted to get straight to the food. I went with the Fried Clucker and a side of waffle fries. This sandwich was unbelievable huge..smothered in their house sauce, which tasted like a milder version of buffalo sauce. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off. Maybe they need to brine the chicken better to help it stick more but it was no biggie, it still had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the chicken-fried chicken, and honestly... nothing too special about it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were flavorless at first, but once we added salt and pepper, they were tasty. Now, I get that this is a bar and grill, so I'm not trying to be overly critical or nit-picky but in that category, Brewbakers definitely ranks on the higher end. This is hands down the best bar and grill I've tried when it comes to food. They even serve Jambalaya here.. what kind of bar and grill do you ever see serving this?? Would I come back? Of course! It is out of the way where i usually am, but im excited to come back and try other things off their menu.

Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. Then speaking of Ambiance... we got to sit in my awesome living room and wolf down burgers and a steak salad while watching the movie of choice for the night. Their extensive beer offering is amazing, but cannot enjoy that during a work lunch! We went on a Thursday which is the Burger and fries combo special. Their basic cheeseburger comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato and choice of condiments. I ALWAYS get their amazing tots that are perfectly seasoned and crispy, but my coworkers upgraded to the massive onion rings. Between the large 1/2lb burger (cooked perfectly!) and sides none of us could completely finish our plates! I have never had a bad dish at either location. Our server, Chastity, was super nice and helpful and explained everything for the first timers in our group. She and Hailey do a great job and we are looking forward to trying another special! Next time I will take pictures before inhaling the top notch food! The only downside is the place is noisy, since the ceiling is wide open. Not a deal breaker for me or our group, but I could see it bothering someone more picky. Thank you!

We initially chose it thinking "oh it's v day, people will want to do something nicer than TRH". WRONG. Told a 3 hour wait and we shuffled over to the Olive Garden. Well, this year, I was smart. I went online weeks prior to make a reservation, only to find out that they don't take reservations--only a waitlist. So I plotted. I told myself that I'd start looking at the waitlist starting at 2p for Valentine's Day I kid you not, by 330p, the waitlist was already at 1.25 hours. 30 min later at 4p, the waitlist was at 2hrs. Perfect. 6pm dinner sounds great! We arrived and they seated us within 2 minutes. Our waiter came promptly and checked on us so many times. Salads came out literally within a minute of us ordering. Entrees took five minutes. A wait staff stood there and waited for us to cut into our steaks to ensure that it was to our liking. And we pay at the table on a machine on our own time. We got in and out in 30 minutes. Whoever is the manger/GM know how to manage. Kudos to them for an insanely smooth holiday dinner. Also... a chain restaurant having an almost 4 star review is insane--but now I understand.
