OMG, a hidden gem with incredible food, staff and service. They got out of their way to ensure you have a delicious meal and wonderful dining experience. Attentive staff, fresh ingredients, highly generous portions, and mouthwatering gourmet dishes, This tavern is well worth 5-stars and the 4 hours drive that it took to here.

I don't even eat vegetables and these made you want them - that pork chop was even better than it looks omg this was mouthwatering

I love being able to go on vacation and do everything in one place with no driving - this restaurant was even more than I could have ever imagined - we are coming back tomorrow night and can not wait!!!

My girlfriend and I saw good reviews on line -however-got there and the chlorine smell from the indoor pool blew us away -got passed that -no one greeted us at the front door and we had to ask if someone do we seat ourselves and we did menu items that were listed on the cheese board didn't come on the cheeseboard like honey and apple chutney however the plastic from the wrapped salami did -there were crumbs all over the cheddar from something that it had been placed with previously-my chips that came with my Prime Rib sandwich were not cooked through do they were soggy of which I asked the waitress to cook them longer and she came back to inform me she had dropped them herself and then we didn't see her for another 10-15 minutes-good luck getting any refills

    Yum!

There was nothing on the menu that looked like the photos. We had four different entrees and they were all really bad.

Roasted Peanuts on the table to greet you and peanut shells on the floor also adds to the laidback feel. The waitress (Lexie) took my drink order quickly and promptly brought the unsweetened tea and a basket full of fresh yeast rolls. She then offered to take my order, but I asked for more time to go over the menu (since it was my first visit). After a short wait, she answered my question and took my order. I opted for 2 skewers of beef tips and bacon cheese fries for my side. My food arrived shortly thereafter and it included ranch dressing to dip the fries and grilled onions and peppers on the side and then she asked if I needed any steak sauce of mushroom gravy. I opted for the latter. This was great service especially since I for got to ask for ranch and mushroom gravy originally and thought I was only allowed the peppers and onions or the mushroom gravy. During the meal, my glass was refilled just as I finished it and she remembered I was drinking unsweetened tea. As for the food from the rolls, to the steak tips, fries, and condiments was all excellent. And too much for me to eat. Lexie brought a to go box and refilled my tea again even though I said I didn't need a to-go tea. I would highly recommend.

My salad was cold crisp, amd topped with plenty of tomatoes, and egg half, croutons, and cheese. The service was fast, friendly, our glasses were kept full by Raina, and as we left we were thanked by all the staff that saw us. You c ant ask for more. The outside of the restaurant has been updated since we were there last which is good because I dinged them in the past to it being shabby. I love the new mural on the outside of the building amd the new waiting benches.

The food was amazing. The staff, Naomi, was very attentive and got our orders as we wanted. The ambience was cool, a bit on the loud side. Our water and drinks were empty multiple times. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming and extremely overpriced, especially for Hendersonville. I ordered the banh mi and wouldn't recommend it. The small sandwich was overwhelmed with mayo and lacked the traditional Vietnamese flavors I was expecting. To make matters worse, it was $18 and didn't even come with a side which felt unreasonable. For that price, I would much rather dine at Postero across the street. The restaurant asked if we were celebrating anything, and we mentioned a major accomplishment for our friend. While the waitress acknowledged it several times which was kind it was disappointing to learn that there was no complimentary dessert or gesture. At that point, repeatedly bringing it up felt unnecessary. Given the high reviews, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

Honestly, I think I had it completely wrong in my head--I always assumed it was more of a "pretentious" spot, and that couldn't have been further from the truth. Since we live right down the road, we finally decided to stop in and give it a try--and I'm so glad we did. It's spring right now, and the walk up was absolutely beautiful. The azaleas were in full bloom and completely lining the entrance, which made for such a welcoming first impression. Inside, it felt cozy and relaxed, with a lot of fun, interesting artwork throughout. It immediately felt more approachable than I expected. Our server was the sweetest--true Southern hospitality. I wish I could remember her name because she really added to the experience. We started with Japanese whiskey and ended up chatting with the table next to us, who told us they make a point to come here every time they're in town--which says a lot. When we ordered, I was honestly surprised by how reasonable the prices were for this area. We split the Ribeye Gaucho and the Monte Cristo, and both were delicious. Overall, it was such a pleasant surprise from start to finish. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to.

They have a drive through, but considering that it was my first time here, I wanted to get a better idea of the options/menu, so we went in. It gives off old school diner eclectic vibes, which is cool with me. The staff was friendly and greeted us after finishing up the drink they were making. We took some time to check out the menu & landed on an iced Turtle - one of those listed under "specialty drinks," which was caramel, dark chocolate, and butter pecan. I was a little nervous when I got it because of the amount of syrup in the bottom, so I gave it a good stir. Flavor was a little strong, mostly from the dark chocolate (which I'm not the biggest dark chocolate fan to begin with), but after a good mix, all blended pretty well. I enjoyed the flavor and would certainly drink it again, but would like to try another option to explore more of the menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through the area.
