18 inch Porko Pizza and Garlic Knots
    Jessica M.

I love having not only a pizza place in my neighborhood, but a delicious pizza place with so many yummy options! Normally, we eat in and we love the vibe there, but this time we picked up pizza and garlic knots to go to bring home for our Bachelor watch party! Everything was ready on time and made as ordered! We ordered the 18 inch Porko pizza and the garlic knots. Both were so flavorful and delicious! Totally hit the spot and was a perfect amount of food for the three of us.

We love this neighborhood gem!! We can get pizza any where but always come here because it's delicious! When we dine-in we sit at the bar and Brooke is fantastic! Her service is attentive and she's simply a kind soul! Pepperoni pizza is our go-to because well...it's a classic! Pepperonis are perfectly crispy and it's just the right amount of YUM! The crust is my favorite part - you can taste the freshness! If you crave pizza and a beer - make a stop here!

Typical NY Style Pie but nothing to write home about (I prefer Goodfellas for NY style). Good experience with service both times but I came 2:30 pm on the weekend so it wasn't busy. I got the $9.25 special both times I came and the slices were reheated nice considering I bought by the slice and during the end of the special. I recommend the Ford Truck Plant Pie! Ambiance was fine but I didn't love the house flies...

Crust and base is the most important part of a pizza. This place clearly ships in pre made and not freshly made base (crust and bottom).

The service was phenomenal - from the hostess to the bartenders, you could tell everyone took pride in their role and was proud of their food and the experience they provide to their guests. The bread service is warm sourdough bread served with dipping oil that has roasted garlic cloves inside - yum! For dinner, mom had their sea bass special which was excellent. I went all out and got the 16 layer lasagna, which has 4 different types of meats. Soooo good and the size was large enough that I had the leftovers again the next night. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. One of the best Italian spots in Louisville - 5/5!

My party was seated back corner and it was very awkward for the servers to maneuver to refill drinks or bring/take plates away, at one point they had to stand on the window ledge & it just seemed very awkward and uncomfortable having to constantly re-adjust seating just so they can squeeze by. The whole step up area was just crowed. I love the giant mural they have on the wall with details, low lights, & just nicely displayed table setting. I ordered beef carpaccio and was very excited due to seeing how popular this dish is online and it was pretty tasty, kinda like a salad. For my entree I ordered braised short rib and it was like a roast style and very tender, paired with well seasoned collared greens, cheesy grits, and zucchini! Very filling, was stuffed!! My partner & I would love to go back & we definitely enjoyed ourselves!

The pasta was properly cooked, the sauce was good, but not much better than a jar off the shelf. The veal, breaded & fried was overcooked - thus very chewy. I ordered a side Caesar salad. I appreciated the dressing on the side. Nothing out of the ordinary. Lettuce, cheese, croutons & dressing. For dinner, I went with a baked pasta sampler. I chose baked spaghetti w/meatballs; lasagna & meat ravioli. The raviolis were inconsistent. Some were good, but most had dough that I found undercooked and "pasty". The lasagna was good, although buried under the same sauce as the spaghetti. Hard to tell where one dish ended and the other began. Honestly, the hit of the meal was the meatball. Absolutely delicious. A huge breakdown was the gluten free spaghetti & meatballs I ordered to bring home to my wife. The pasta was actually rigatoni. It was severely undercooked. And a $3.99 upcharge? I could buy an entire box of pasta for $3.99. And after specifically ordering gluten free pasta, the "To-go" dinner came with regular "garlic bread". Oops. Tuscany needs to step up their game. Too many misses with just a few hits. For me, it's a one and done.

Reservations can be made online through open table and it's extremely easy to book. Side note, your entire party will need to be there before you are seated. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, located on Frankfort Avenue. They have a full drink menu and plenty of wine to choose from. They also offered several specials when we dined there. We opted for the bruschetta topped with mozzarella and served with tomato basil drip. Then the fresh bread arrived and my goodness was it good. It was fluffy with a crunchy exterior, perfect for dipping into the sauce of our entrees. They have lots of pasta options, including a build your own pasta with a choose of noodles, sauce and meat. I was torn between the piccata or Marsala, but wanted something fresh and bright - the piccata did not disappoint. the chicken was moist, the capers were huge and the sauce was bright and tart. I would definitely order it again. I've already made reservations to go back in December!

Adam, our server, was an absolute gem when it came to suggestions for food and drink! We took every one of his recommendations and were very happy we did!. The Tuscan Ribeye, Peach Pork Chop, and Pasta Rosa were all delicious! We each had a cocktail and a Caprese salad. Delightful beverages and salad! My Pasta Rosa was everything I had hoped it would be... bright, creamy tomato vodka sauce with grilled chicken and pasta. My husband's Tuscan Ribeye was done perfectly. My stepson's peach pork chop was seared beautifully and the sauce was fantastic. We dove right into the food (which was terrific) so I forgot to get pictures. By dessert, however, I controlled myself long enough to take pictures of our Tiramisu and Crème Brûlée -- both as tasty as they were beautifully presented. Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam
