I have nothing good to say about this place. We came here and stood at the hostess station along with four other groups and were not acknowledged for 10 minutes. No hello, no smiles. Two of the groups ended leaving because none of us were being serviced. It was busy, but nowhere near as busy where they ignored customers. We were finally seated by the hostess who was the one walking around and NEVER said hi. Our waitress took a long time to greet us and she was slow with her service and not friendly. We went there to watch a game and the tv screens were so little we could not see where the ball was. The food was not good because it wasn't fresh. Once the game was over everyone headed out but we stayed for more drinks and dessert. A live band ended up coming and we were asked to move to a different table which was no big deal. We ended up moving again because the music was so loud and disrupting. Once we were in the back of the place it was still way too loud and we were shouting to one another but still could not hear each other. I understand a live band is playing, but the music was painfully too high. We will never come here again. read more

This place needs Bar Rescue!!! Simple stuff that should be fixed is not being done. So many of the chairs have torn/rips on the seats. There was graffiti/tagging in the men's restroom. Why??? There was way too many posters around of the bands that were scheduled there. I won't be returning. read more

While I typically patronize the Geneva location, I had a Groupon, so of course I was going to use it. The service was outstanding. The food was okay. I ordered a baked mostacholli and my cousin ordered a burger well done and potato skins. The potato skins were delicious. The sauce on my pasta was scrumptious as always, but the noodles were over cooked to the point of not being able to spear a noodle with my fork without it falling off. Then my cousin bites into her burger and it wasn't well done. Everything was still flavorful, just not exactly how we wanted it. I'll most likely come back again. read more

Last night a group of 10 of us went to OTP Wasco for the dueling pianos. We called ahead for a table and were told they had one for us. When we got there, we said we had a reservation and were seated. We ate, had drinks, and spent 2.5 hrs at the table before the band started. Then we were told they sat us at the wrong table and we had to get up! At this point there were no other tables so we had to stand. Apparently this table was reserved for someone else, and the hostess made a mistake. I understand mistakes happen however they did NOTHING to make it better. They argued with me that I told them another last name- the last name of the people it was reserved for. Like I'm psychic and knew this?! Absurd. I asked to speak to the manager several times to ask what they were doing to make this right and was told she was too busy to speak to me. She never came. One comped round of drinks would have been sufficient. We spent $100 just on cover alone and another $300 on food and drinks and they kick us out of our table and did nothing to make it better. Terrible customer service. I will never go back and recommend not giving your money to a place that clearly doesn't care about its customers. read more

My boyfriend and I are regulars at this place. I must admit that a major reason we come here so often is the close proximity to home. However, the food here is consistently delicious and the service and atmosphere is great, too, which is why we keep coming back for more. Try the pulled pork nachos on their special BBQ menu- they are so so good!! read more

Oh my goodness!! We had our son's graduation party at OTP today and we couldn't have been more happy. The owners provided exceptional service and detail to the buffet style meal. This is a second location for Old Town Pub thats in Geneva (see one of my earlier reviews) - and I actually like this one better. They are bigger and have a more contemporary and spacious feel to them thanks to the location. The drinks are okay - not thrilled, and I went for the mixed variety instead of the beer this time. However, the wrap I had this time (vs. the salad I had at their Geneva location) moved this place up a notch for me as far as food options go. Big enough to actually have as two separate meals or split with someone (although am not sure thats a plus), I had the cajun chicken wrap - and it was good, with the right kind of kick to it, although a little plain on the ingredient / flavor composition - I write that off on the type of place this is though. Still better than bar food choices youd be able to get at some of the other joints. read more

What happened to this place? Loved coming here but today the food was horrible. The scallops in bacon were the worst I had. $12 down the drain. The tuna steak sandwiches dry and the sweet potato fries burnt. $18 down the drain. Going to find another local favorite. This one is dead to me. read more

When we walked in the sigh said seat yourself, no problem, took 10 minutes to be brought a menu. Then when I ordered the ribs the waitress acted like she did not know what I was talking about. She returned to the table 3 times to get my order correct. Besides that the ribs were excellent. I will return because of the food, not because of the service. read more

Nice, clean, local, tavern and grill in St Charles/ Campton Hills. We stopped in here for a quick snack and drink while out and about on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. This building seems fairly new in a mixed use dining/office development. The actual space is nice size, plenty of seating, with a small stage at the entry for live music. There were signs listing many upcoming bands so if your into live bands this would be a good place to check out. The bar seating is really good size in comparison. The restrooms were clean and there is a small game room to send the kids while you watch the game on the multiple flat screens with most of the games on. When we walked in it seems like this is a local hot spot for after soccer, baseball games etc for families. We chose to sit at the bar. The staff was very nice and service was great. For food we just ordered the fried cheese curds which were fantastic. Our drinks were cold and fresh. We definitely would recommend to others and would love to get back here for one of the live band nights! read more

There's not much to say about this place but that it's good food, good prices,and good service. I don't think I have had anything there that I didn't like. If you're not into crowds though I would suggest going on a weekday, or during the earlier afternoon on a weekend. It gets pretty crowded because it's a bar also. The people that go there range from toddlers to seniors...so all is welcome! read more

This place is laid-back and down-to-earth. The bartenders are friendly and unpretentious. We like to come here late at night after most of the crowds have left and just have a scotch. The kitchen is usually closed by the time we arrive, so I don't know much about the food, but the service is great and the people are cool. I wish more places were this easy-going. read more

Lousy service. Waitresses hang out in kitchen and let tables go for more than 15 minutes at a time without checking in, regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Good spot to hang and indulge in your favorite beverage. Had the build your own burger and the patty was tasty but the cheese they are using is way too thin and tastes processed. Went to this very lively pub with a huge group. The place is a great looking sports pub with a nice feel. Lots of beers and beverages to choose from and the variety should please everyone. The only downside was the food. It was so/so. Not terrible or anything like that, just not enough to make me come back. read more

Great beer selection and service. We have been many times since we recently moved to the area and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food is (it's above average bar food- wings are very good). Food comes out quick and hot. We have never had problems with slow service, not even on Friday nights when they tend to be busy. read more

Old Towne pub and Eatery in St. Charles "Wasco" is a great established neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere and attention to quality food. Jason, Pat and all the staff there do an excellent job of making everyone feel as though they are at home enjoying some good food and a great selection of beers. Always a good crowd in here and now have a great focus on good bands to entertain the neighborhood. Always a place to run into some friendly regulars and new faces alike. Not sure exactly what it is, but every time i have eaten here it upset my stomach. Once i got a Buffalo Chicken wrap that put me out of commission for three days. Dont get me wrong, everything i have had tasted good. They do have a good selection of beers, and cheap drafts. Prices are good, but something they use to cook does not agree with me. My wife and I come here often because its close by but it also has a nice atmosphere. It's usually always busy on the weekends and they typically have a variety of live music after 9 pm. It can get especially busy in the summer due to many of the local little league teams coming in. It's one of the few bars around that are suitable for kids as they have a separate room for video games. The staff is friendly and the owners are good people. Very good and consistent restaurant. They have traditional bar fare with their own twist. For appetizers, the nachos with pulled pork is really good and the buffalo shrimp is great. If you like fried fish their fish sandwich and fish n chips are outstanding. The sandwiches are very good. I ve had the buffalo chicken, pulled pork, Italian sausage, patty melt, burgers, meatball, and chicken parm, and all passed the test. My wife like the wraps and eggplant sandwich. I haven t had the desserts, always full by then. The service is great and consistent. Always friendly and accomodating. The atmosphere is very sports bar like. Usually, there is a game on and is is a little loud but not too bad that you can t hold a conversation. read more

Great place to bring in family. The atmosphere is full of young families from the area and has a game room for the kids. You can get anything from a burger to a salad, soup to wings. The food is great and they provide great service. The servers are cute and young and I haven't met a bartender I didnt like. It can get busy on the weekends and sometimes there's a wait, but its a great place to eat if you're in the area. Sometimes they have hip bands on the weekends and its a great place to sit at the bar and enjoy yourself. Old Towne has a good mixture of young adults, families, regulars, and an older crowd. The patio is great in the summer and I've observed many parties in their back room. I would recommend the chopped salad, pulled pork, italian beefs, and broccoli cheddar bites. I had a Groupon for Old Towne and have heard good things, so a good friend and I gave it a try last night. The restaurant was immaculate and very well kept, I was immediately impressed. Our server, I believe her name was Jackie, was absolutely wonderful! She was so attentive to all of our needs and constantly checking in on us to make sure our food, drinks, etc were taken care of. My food was cooked to perfection and it tasted great. The restaurant has a fun environment and seemed to be good for all ages. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back, as well as recommending this restaurant to friends in the area! read more

Old Towne Pub & Eatery is a great spot for lunch, quietly nestled among a small business corner in Wasco. A pit stop from the work day was much needed, and the cold water and a place to sit were greatly appreciated. The friendly staff and quick service made for an even better experience. The house salad had all the fixins to be expected, and the Philly cheesesteak was a solid option as well. The peppers and onions complimented the meat nicely, although the bread was not as supportive as desired, yet somehow a little on the filling side. Overall though, I would come back if ever in the Wasco area again. read more

We come here quite often especially Sundays when the burgers are $5. Nice atmosphere and the service has always been very good. Food is always excellent - haven't had one bad item yet. The place could be cleaner though (chairs with huge tears in them, sticky tables/chairs, etc...) I would also recommend that the owner who many times sits/stands at the bar instead go around and interact with his customers from time to time. That would actually show that he cares. As many times as we have been there I would be willing to bet that he still wouldn't be able to recognize us lol. read more

My wife and I were interested in seeing a certain band there. Some friends came with us to have a few drinks beforehand, but weren't planning to stay for music. Although we arrived about 2 hours before the band was supposed to start and spent quite a bit of money on alcohol, the establishment insisted on charging my friends the $10/per cover charge at the table. When my friends asked our server to remove the cover charges from their check as they were planning to leave, they were confronted by a female bartender, who proceeded to lead them into a rather heated exchange (probably the most despicable thing I've ever seen at a restaurant). During that time, she divulged that our server, who had been serving us alcohol all night was only 18. My friends ended up paying their bill sans the cover charge, and left. My wife and I and one other friend (who paid his cover at the door) stuck around. Our original server was downgraded to bussing tables, and we were assigned a new one. (Both servers were great, btw, underage or not). We saw an awesome jam band, who draws a certain crowd. Nonetheless, I think most of the patrons I saw were over-served, and pot was definitely being smoked in the bathroom. When it was time for us to leave, we requested our check, and it included the drinks our friends had already paid for, the cover charges the establishment wanted them to pay, and the cover charge for our friend that stuck around (who paid at the door). We were able to get some (but not all) of the extra alcohol charges removed, but none of the extra cover charges. After a second request, the angry female bartender stormed over, which I felt I needed to record on my phone so she wouldn't go off the rails again. She didn't, but I guarantee it was because I was recording. She refused to remove the extra charges, which forced us to short pay without a tip. Unfortunately for them, I tip well. One shitty experience, and I won't be going back. I feel the same about their Geneva location. Their food is decent for bar food, but overall, everything's pretty expensive. read more

We recently had our daughter's graduation party in their party room. I cannot even begin to say how nice the staff and service was and how good the food was. Family and friends' alike complimented us on our choices and the venue. Jason was very personable, friendly and out going in assisting us in booking the date, to picking the menu choices. He made sure we had enough food and all bases covered. He even informed us, we were free to bring in our own desserts for the event, provided it came from a baker, ie, Sam's/Costco. They even let us in early enough to decorate the room. The service during the event was beyond excellent. Mariah and Joey made sure our guests always had drinks, the food was hot, utensils/napkins, etc. always replenished, they continually checked in with my wife or me to see if we needed anything, completely focused on making sure our event was fantastic. I cannot say enough great things about this location or the staff. We cannot thank you enough for everything you did. read more

Stopped here because I was getting a facial at skin deep facials. Atmosphere was ok. Location was good for what I was doing. Service was lackadaisical ..no urgency or personal interaction with either of the male or female bartenders..they were not busy at this hour of 2 pm. Food ordered was quick which explains why the calamari was the WORST we have had anywhere..came out in less than 5 minutes which should have been a clue ..the breading was falling off, flavorless, and the squid was rubber..dipping sauce was tasteless. Only reason would return was location...but only if there was nothing else available. read more
