A great atmosphere with even better food! The staff was very friendly and helpful. When you first walk in it strikes you as a dive bar with a quaint atmosphere. The place is really clean and the restrooms even cleaner. There was also good selection of tap beer. The food was excellent. In our party we had people have the cheeseburger special, wings, soup and sliders. There was not a complaint from anyone. Good food kept the table quiet! The wings were big, juicy and flavorful! This place is fine. Greasy food like you'd expect from a dive bar. Pretty clean and has cool red chairs. Cheap lunch specials. Too bad one person in our group requested a song through their juke box that I guess staff didn't appreciate- a bartender came over and said she was going to skip it because 8 pm was too early for metal. Checked this place out again and this time ordered some food. The wings are big and they have a variety of flavors, they were cooked well too. They are your average bar wings. We also ordered the pretzel rolls, which were pretty disappointing to me (I am a soft pretzel fan!) because it was just a hoagie roll cut up and grilled with salt sprinkled on top. Served with mustard and a nacho cheese that didn't have much taste. Service was really great as it was last time and we sat on the patio in front on a beautiful day, which made it a pretty amazing beer and moment to relax. I will come here anytime for a beer and some good classic staples (philly cheese steak, onion rings, chicken tenders, burger, fries) most any night of the week. This is a small neighborhood bar with a small area for some pool table action. The bartenders are both behind the bar and serving so you really are taken care of here. Has a little bit of the dive bar feel but there isn't anything sketchy about it so would recommend again. Check out the red sparkly pleather booths for a seat to view the tvs and the patrons. read more

My kind of bar. The bar had the environment of a typical dive bar, but it was clean and maintained. Remember that bar from the movie Trading Places...or remember bars from the movie The Departed....yeah older decor. I recommend the wings. The bar was typical bar food, but it had good flavor especially the Carolina BBQ wings. The staff was very nice and attentive. It has a dive bar atmosphere but the food was so good! I was pleasantly surprised! The burgers we got were so delicious! The food came out very quickly and our waitress came up to the table to make sure we had everything, and was very attentive! We even got to chat a bit about the beer selection too! One of the only places in town that has Odell's Runoff Red and Deschute's beers on tap! My friends and I will definitely be back! The music selection was great too, and there's a jukebox to select music yourself too! We went on a Monday night, and it was happy hour from 3pm-close as their special for the day! This place is absolutely terrible. Me and a group of friends came in 11/11/14 while celebrating our friends birthday. Right off the bat the bartender and owner were some of the rudest people I have ever encountered in a costumer service setting. They were so pushy and untrustworthy about our age though we all showed a valid form of ID. While being interrogated by the disrespectful owner for my ID that I had already shown multiple times, I asked why she was being so incredibly rude for no reason, she replied with telling us that she won't serve us anymore. It's too bad for them, every person in our group works in the service industry, they would have had a good night. read more

OK here on a Saturday at 1:55p.m. They have a hamburger special until 2:00. When we finally get waited on at the bar at 2:00 p.m. our snotty, no personality female bartender tells us the special is no longer available! We have previously visited 2x and had good food and good service experiences. We had hoped this would be our go-to home-town once-a-week place to grab drinks and dinner. However, this evening we sat unacknowledged by the servers for a full 15 minutes. It wasn't busy at all, but they stood idly by. We even watched another couple stroll in and get service while we never even got a nod of acknowledgement. We finally left to find somewhere more welcoming. We are not likely to return. read more

Local dive bar that happens to have TVs, not really a "sports bar." Not when the bartenders are clueless about even the local teams and games. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes it is really good and many times it isn't. Much of the time the music is so loud you have to scream at the person next to you to be heard. No sound for games. Beer selection is limited and pricey for megabrews. Owner is a nice guy and a big hockey fan. read more

Wonderful service, great environment for beers with friends, snacks and watching sports.

It was decent. I was sad that the menu said that the shrimp came browned, when in reality they were popcorn shrimp--breaded and deep fried. I think that the menu should be revised to reflect this. The drinks were decent and the service was ok. I might come back, but probably only for drinks. read more

Was in the mood for happy hour last night, so we decided to check out a new spot close to home and we decided on Old Towne Tavern. I think I have found my new favorite drinking hole on this side of town. The prices were great, as well as the service. We got an order of pretzel bites, which were very yummy. I just really liked the feeling of this spot, which reminded us of some of our favorites in our old neck of the woods (capital hill). We will definitely be coming back!! read more
