This was the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at my entire life in Lansing Michigan. It was freezing cold inside the restaurant. I ordered a tea and it wasn't good so I traded it for a pop and I was charged for both drinks. It took a long time for the food to come but it was horrible then we were rushed to leave as they had other patrons waiting. We will never go back. read more

Ordered for curbside pick-up today, and realized after leaving that our sandwiches were the wrong sandwiches. Called the store and went back to get the correct order. Went here one evening when I attended an MASB CONFERENCE by the MI DEPT OF TREASURY. I love Olga's food. This restaurant had very friendly service, smiles, timely food service and atmosphere. Olga was an old Greek woman who started a restaurant from her kitchen. Legend has it that Olga was a long time sufferer of leaky gut syndrome. She endured gastrointestinal motility problems for many years, eventually coming to the conclusion that all of her problems were due to the food that she was forced to eat every day for nourishment. Finding such hatred for food, Olga sought revenge. She began a line of pseudo-Greek restaurants where the cooks were instructed to cut every corner in the preparation of dishes, and the menu writer was given free reign to price the meals as high as possible. The result is our modern Olga's Kitchen chain. An "olga," made of imitation SPAM, is priced at $7, and comes with nothing. A side of fries are an extra $2, and cola another $2. The food is on par with a poorly run McDonald's, but diners are forced to wait for Waitresses to serve them, making Olga's the most inconvenient restaurant possible. I had my first and last experience here with a friend for dinner. The only redeeming quality was the spinach pies, which were super hot and tasty. Sadly, the rest of the meal was bland, tasteless grub. We both had gyros which came on rubbery bread and with goopy sauce devoid of flavor. I was really dissatisfied. The Fleetwood Diner and Zeus's have much better versions. And frankly, Arby's has infinitely better fries. Moreover, the salad was tasteless and was likely made days earlier. The whole place screamed of a Greek Denny's :(. To top off the bad food, the service was abysmal. After dropping off our food our server left to the adjacent room to surf a computer in full view of the diners for probably twenty minutes without bothering to check on us. Had she done so she would have realized that she never even served my friend her Greek salad. We couldn't wait to leave. Never again. read more

I can not enter the state of Michigan with out a trip to Olga's. I fell in love with Olga's Express in the Meridian Mall but this location has more options and a much nicer less food court-ie atmosphere. Olga's bread is amazing its sweet, soft, and warm, oh and squishy too. My usual is the ham and cheese olga, with snackers and broccoli cheddar soup. Today I tried the fried zucchini and even though the dipping sauce taste like it should be used for shrimp overall they were delicious. Great for a lunch or a casual diner, what ever you do don't leave without trying the snackers. I have also heard they have delicious smoothies though I can not speak of this from experience. read more

Usually I like Olga's, but this Frandor location leaves something to be desired. It's always cold in there. Like, *Freezing* cold. It's February in Michigan, for God's sake, turn the heater past 63. My server today was a young man who was very courteous, polite and attentive. Perhaps a little inexperienced? Time management problem caused a delay in getting my bill paid, and the to-go pop refill had way too much ice in it (hardly any pop at all). I did not really enjoy being seated in the back room when there were so many empty tables in the main room. The food was hot and good. I do enjoy Olga's menu. This was an OK experience. Too expensive for the amount of food i received. Their spinach dip (which they kind of got wrong) smelled like it had gone bad by the time i got to the office. Really disappointed. I have them a 3 star because the burger was actually good. Make sure you ask for light seasoning on the fries because it tasted like high blood pressure. read more

As I say in my original review, I've been eating at Olga's for years. My uncle knows her, and the original Olga's is a few miles from my hometown. The food has stayed the same, while the prices have suddenly far exceeded the worth. Why should I pay $7 for a tuna olga that used to be $5 a year ago? This is a decent stop for a quick lunch. I think their sandwiches are fine, but I really like the unlimited soup, salad, and snackers combo. The snackers are good, and I think the cheese spread is delicious. I like Olga's for a lunch meeting. It isn't too loud and you can usually get seated quickly. Is the food they serve outstanding? Decided to take a trip down memory lane and have a quick dinner here while I was back in town to visit family/friends. I used to love Olga's back in my school days, but this experience was pretty terrible. It seems like every time I go back to one of my old college and/or childhood haunts, I come away severely disappointed. Either my tastes are becoming more refined as I age (not likely given how much I enjoy Chinese take-out and Taco Bell) or these places are getting worse. So, let's start off with the good: SNACKERS! The snackers--grilled and seasoned bits of Olga's pita bread--and cheese dip continue to be amazing. Olga's pita bread in any form is good, but snackers alone are reason enough to stop in here, even if you don't order anything else. Now onto the bad...for starters, Olga's kind of seems like what you'd get if Applebee's decided to open a chain of Greek cuisine themed restaurants. It's not authentic and I don't get the sense they are trying to be. But the whole pseudo-Greek vibe comes off as a little contrived/forced. I ordered an Original Olga sandwich, side salad, and of course snackers. The lettuce in the salad was limp and soggy, indicating that at best it had been pre-dressed and left in the fridge, and at worst was full of old lettuce on the verge of rotting. The Olga sandwich (also known as a gyro in any place not Olga's) was lukewarm and the meat seemed like it was frozen. To top it all off I got really sick to my stomach immediately after eating here. For fast food greek-diner type stuff you can do a lot better. I wish their bread sucked so I could fully hate this place and swear it off forever. But I'll be back for snackers and to contract a mild stomach bug. read more

The service was very prompt and friendly and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I ordered the chicken shawarma and Greek curly fries. The fries were excellent but the chicken in the sandwich was so heavily spiced with cinnamon that it was overpowering and made me gag. I was only able to eat half the sandwich before giving up. read more

Ty did an amazing job taking care of our high maintenance family. He was there when we needed him an absent when we wanted some alone time. Always quick in the refill of our drinks and the all you can eat soup and salad. He represents Olga's well and they would do well to make it very comfortable for him there. This is one of my favorite places, and always where I come when I come back to East Lansing. The snackers are amazing!! Original, with marina and cheese, or cinnamon sugar, the snackers are delicious. I loved the turkey club, and my friends usually get the original Olga. Zucchini fries are delicious here too. Great service usually, even when they are busy. I got a free dessert when I checked in on yelp! :-) highly recommend this place. read more

Food was about the same as every other time I've been to Olga's, average. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and my date ordered the unlimited soup, salad, and snackers. My salad was fresh, but for a $1.99 up-charge for chicken I would have expected there to be a lot more then I got. He tried both types of soup and they came out hot and fresh. Our waitress was great, but she was in charge of so many tables we had to wait quite a bit to get anything we needed (refills, boxes, check, etc.). Overall staff appeared very tired and overworked, one even commented on how long she had been there that day. read more

I like the Olga Burgers and the Curly Fries, and always order the burger with Olga Sauce and Olga onions. Sometimes the food arrives cold, even when I am the only customer there. The ambiance is fairly nice, but I arrive early to avoid crowds and so cannot say how noisy and unpleasant that it might be there at other times. The last time I was there, my wife came along, and after eating, I stood up and looked out the window while she was in the bathroom. When she returned, someone had stolen her wallet; I was only like ten feet away in a nearly empty restaurant. No one was helpful, and so my wife refuses to return. read more

Lunch at Olga's. Good as most of the time. On this visit the service may have been the fastest I have ever had. Just had a traditional Olga with fries. I always add a bit of cayanne pepper and garlic to mine. Did the fries instead of snackers on this visit. The snackers are better in my opinion. read more

Every time she waits on me she does the best job! She always has a smile, checks on us throughout the meal, keeps drinks refilled and even brings extra snacker cheese when I ask, because you just can't get enough of that! I have enjoyed Olga's for many years. Salads are great. Love the Mediterranean sandwich and Greek curly fries. I do miss their hummus plate though. Soups are awesome! I haven't been back in a few months because of a rude waitress and the unsettling change in decor. read more

Restaurant was recently renovated and I was excited to check it out. It was trendy and looked nice. There were plenty of staff working and the food was as I expected. However, the floors were not clean at all. We brushed our booth cushions off before sitting down. It may have been a busy day, no idea. The real issue was the smell of a dirty vacuum. I have been to many restaurants that don't maintain there vacuum. The smell was horrible. There was not much carpet in the area we were seated in. We could see the vacuum in the carpeted area. It was an awful distraction. Restaurants must be clean! read more

I've always loved going to Olga's. Today's visit started a little rocky with our original server not understanding us saying we were ready to order & left our table. When we got her attention again she said she'd get us another server. Corinthia took over and was awesome! Not only did she take our order immediately, she asked after drink timing, and let us know that our food was taking a bit longer to finish. I highly reccomend sitting in Corinthia's section when you visit this location. read more
