The lunch menu has a huge variety of options, which made it tough to choose. I went with the BLT on sourdough, served with a pickle spear and thick-cut potato chips. It totally hit the spot. The bacon they use is fantastic. My friend ordered the Sriracha Melt (ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, jalapeños, and sriracha mayo grilled on white bread), which also came with chips and a pickle. Immediately devoured. The salads looked incredible....the table next to us ordered a couple and they looked absolutely divine. Next time for sure. The adjacent market is a must-browse too. It's packed with specialty products and rare finds that you don't see everywhere, making it easy to walk out with way more than you planned. Great food, great service, and a fun market to explore. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near West Allis.

Maybe because I didn't care for the cheese and red sauce (ketchup sauce) on my sandwich Partly my fault for not reading the menu closely But they do have a good menu to pick from. There was no one in there. We were the only customers. Very talkative guy. We didn't know what to expect so we took a minute reviewing the menu. We went ahead and ordered two turkey sandwiches. Options for bread are white wheat or rye. Other than that, we were only asked if mayo, lettuce and tomato were OK. Gus is very friendly saying we are going to love it!!! So we sat down the sandwiches came out freshly done. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in building his sandwiches. My boyfriend really enjoyed his sandwich. It's exactly what he was looking for. For my personal review I wouldn't really say this is my favorite. It was just regular white bread stacked high with three slices of cheese, a ton of lettuce and a stack of turkey. Way too big for me. I would've preferred sourdough bread maybe some pickles and toasted? Maybe some avocado and other add on options so that you can build your sandwich..... And of course a lighter sandwich. I definitely had to take the other half to go, but I wasn't really impressed. To be quite honest i could have just made a regular sandwich at home just like this. There wasn't anything special. I wouldn't spend my money on something that I could make at home. For any of those that enjoy just basic sandwiches like this i would say this should be your to go spot to help support the owners. Hours are short so you have to make sure you make your way early. Again, I'm not taking away from the fact that this is a great lunch spot and the owners deserve all the praise and business. You can tell they genuinely care. There is plenty of seating in here. Also, while other comments were made, Gus, definitely thanks you for your business quite a few times too.

But once you know where it is, it's easy to find and worth it. I went in during lunch one day and it was quiet. The hours are limited, as they close early afternoon. I had a great conversation with the owners and cook, Gus, and his lovely wife behind the counter. I ordered the lamb gyro plate with the french fries - and Gus said, you can get fries anywhere, try my rice! And so he served up the rice and asked me to try it right then and there. I asked for my feta on the side, and again he was insistent I try it then. The portions are gigantic - it was enough for at least 2 meals. We talked about his background in ethnic cooking. I was impressed they opened up around the time Covid-19 was raging and they've managed to stay in business despite opening up during a difficult time. The food was good, the portions are generous, making it a good value for the money, I enjoyed meeting the proprietors, and I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some of his soups and other lunch items.

Our son was happy with his French fries, which freed us up to enjoy our own meals without any negotiation battles. The menu offers both Mexican and Thai options side by side. These are not fusion dishes; each culture gets its own representation, and the kitchen does both well. I ordered the enchiladas, which were cooked through, well prepared, and finished with queso fresco and crema. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were exactly what I was hoping for. My husband ordered the pad Thai, and it was the standout of the afternoon. It ran a touch sweeter than we are used to, but it was balanced, well seasoned, and full of flavor. The presentation matched the taste. Service was attentive and efficient. We were seated quickly, and our food arrived without a long wait, which matters when you are dining with a child. We will absolutely be back.

Caribbean Jaacs opened this year not far from where I work and is probably the only Jamaican…read morerestaurant in the Milwaukee area I haven't tried yet, so I stopped in to pickup a lunch order to go. My order consisted of jerk egg rolls and a jerk chicken plate with rasta mac and sweet plantains for the sides. The jerk egg rolls were good, but I don't think they're my favorite in the Milwaukee area. One of them had a large piece of green pepper in it, so I assumed the other two would as well, but I didn't find it in the others. Other than the green pepper in the one egg roll they were filled with just chicken and cabbage, so not a ton of varying flavors. The rasta mac is mac and cheese with some diced peppers mixed in. The peppers added a little flavor to the mac, but were also easy to pick out for those that don't like peppers. The plantains were probably the best I've had. They were a little mushy instead of hard, which I liked, and their sweetness was apparent. The jerk chicken in the plate came with half a chicken and relied on rub instead of sauce, which worked for me since that's how I prefer jerk chicken. I do think there's room for them to go a little heavier on the rub without making it too hot for most people.
