My daughter wanted to come for dinner. I think the nostalgia of Olive Garden is what really got her, along with the breadsticks! We got a couple of different dishes and they were all fine. Nothing extra special, but fine. Server (TJ) was friendly and helpful. He forgot to come back to check with us on dessert or a box, so we had to ask someone to help us finish up. Since you pay the bill on the little computer thing, we didn't need his help finishing up. Store is clean, but there was an odd buzzing noise that was in the dining area that we were in. read more

Its olive garden... Chain restaurant. You know what to expect. I appreciated the lunch size portions. The waitress we had was awesome! Truly amazing service. Thanks Dina! She refilled drinks constantly. Asked us if we needed anything 10x. Brought out a huge plate of Pepperoncini olives onion etc for our salad after i requested a few extra Pepperoncini. She was so patient & kind with my mother (dementia) who can be a handful. The restaurant is fine ambiance wise. Busy rooms with lots of tables. I don't care what anyone says. I know they're a chain BUT they have two best alfredo sauce. I've been twice in the past few months and service and the food has been good. The only thing that was disappointing is that. I ordered calamari which was also top tier, has been severely downgraded. read more

This Olive Garden has been fantastic. Service is great, food is scrumptious, and the value is great. The pasta portions are enough for 2-3 meals. They always ask if you need additional salad and breadsticks. My husband always gets the unlimited soup and breadsticks, and he gets so much for a good price. When I walked it smelt very good. we got a table right away which was very nice. We told then we wanted appetizer firs but we got our main dish first and our drinks were weren't even out yet. The bread sticks were way too salty. But overall the food was very good. read more

We came in to try the buy one take one deal. We all got the lasagna for our meal while we were there and we took home the five cheese ziti. It was all very tasty. The soup, salad and breadsticks were all you can eat. I got the chicken gnocchi soup which I do get often but it was Absolutely delicious today. Had lots of big pieces of chicken and several little gnocchi in it. After having two bowls of the soup, I couldn't eat much of my lasagna so I took most of that home as well. It was my birthday so they offered a free dessert. I ordered the black tie mousse cake, and split it with my table mates. It was very delicious rich and creamy. The perfect ending to a meal. Went for the buy one take one $14.99 deal...Not at all what I expected...Got Lasagna Fritta...It was pretty good, but more than price expected.Also got Alfredo, and I thought it was pretty tasteless...I'd rather have Alfredo sauce in a jar...Expected to pay around $30 plus tax and tip for my niece and I, and the bill was $47.99 without tip. I currently and have always loved the salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden. I realize this chain gets some slack for its entrees lacking but this location is always busy and I have always received good service over the many years of coming here. I can regularly eat here weekly and not get tired of their salad. I will miss this chain greatly if it ever closes. read more

absolutely horrible food. Olive Garden has never been exactly gourmet, but at least you could rely on the salad and breadsticks to be good. The salad is still the same because it's pretty hard to ruin lettuce, but the breadsticks are now dry and have almost no flavoring. The lasagna is horrible it taste like dog food. What happened to this place? Did it get bought out by equity because that's what seems to be ruining this country and every business in it. Olive Garden just shut your doors. Yesterday, I had the absolute hardest day at my job. I was famished, I decided to go to Olive Garden as it was nearby. I needed a meal. I was quickly sat, and my server, Sumeja quickly came to my table. She was thorough with the menu and answered all my questions. She quickly brought out my salad, and my drink never went low. Olive garden in Affton? Felt like I walked right into italy! Coulda fooled me! LOL! The hubby took me here tonight. After a hectic week/weekend with the kiddos and all their extracurriculars this watermelon sangria was EXACTLY what this momma needed! I ordered the 6oz sirloin, and my man got the fettuccine. I used to love OG loooong time ago and would go often for lunch bc I was obsessed over their zuppa Toscana. But, now I go maybe once a year and recently was craving the soup. We went on a Thursday night and there was a short wait. We were seated and server came within the minute Took our drink order & food order. My daughter ordered their calamari, never had them there before. Breading was interesting in a good way. I ordered the seafood Alfredo, zuppa toscana and got their Italian Margarita. I was pleased to see that the shrimps didn't come with tails. Nothing more aggravating than having to pull the rails off . The soup wasn't as I remembered or maybe my taste buds are just not the same and only ate half of my soup. The cocktail was just okay, wouldn't order it again. The Alfredo tho.....was good! Overall the experience was pleasant. Only bad thing is that our server did forget to get our drinks from the bar and we didn't get them till our entree came out. Also didn't like that the food came out back to back. We were halfway done with the soup and salad when the food came out. Well the food was so salty it was not edible to me. Everything including the salad dressing tasted of vinegar and salt ! The salad ingredients were good and crispy but the dressing was not. Always a crowd waiting to be seated on a Saturday night but a twenty minute wait was not a problem. Hard working servers doing a great job of making wait time minimal. Casual dining but soft lighting , Italian decor makes for a special meal feel. Ample food quantity and tastey pastas, and pasta accompanied meals. Parking is great, there are many spaces. You might have to wait few minutes for the table, I guess it depends when you're going there. Ambience is pretty nice, good music playing . Tables are pretty much against the walls with a large open space in between and the floor was DISGUSTING. There were napkins and pieces of straw wrappers everywhere, like the floor hasn't been swept since the weekend before. What else was terrible, you ask? Allison. You work at Olive Garden! The Eggplant Parmesan used to be my FAVORITE dish from Olive Garden on Lindbergh Boulevard (63123) & Tesson Ferry for years. During the last 1 1/2 year, I received less and less red sauce and the eggplant was almost raw from lack of cooking time the last 7 times that I ordered it for pickup. The very last time, it had little red sauce and even the side of "spaghetti" looked anemic with a red color on some spots. I tried adding my jar of pasta sauce on the Eggplant parmesan, but with uncooked eggplant, I was unwilling to toss the whole thing in a pan and COOK IT FOR THE OLIVE GARDEN! That was my birthday dinner and my farewell to Olive Garden. p.s. My husband's favorite dish was Chicken Marsala. I hate to add one more bad review of this place, but... Came here with some family. Not sure why except that we live nearby. We're Italian and never really go to national Italian chain restaurants. We were reminded why. We got our dishes. What kind of Italian food is this? We were so disappointed. My family just politely walked out. I was left to explain. The manager kindly took care of things and told the waitress this sometimes happens with new Italian customers. My family has been here a couple of times, both times have been underwhelming. The last time the food was just meh (we had gotten grilled salmon, steak, and kids meals). This time the food was better. I got Chicken Marsala and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We also got a fried shrimp appetizer, shrimp scampi, pizzas for the kiddos. The issue was that it was so slow. It probably took 30 min to get breadsticks, and more than an hour for the food to arrive. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I wonder if they were understaffed.
