Stopped in this location for the 1st time. Our server was not what I am used to. Took our order. 20 minutes later the drinks arrived, wrong. We ordered Coke. I was told by the server that he was " pretty sure" they were correct. Another 15 minutes go by still no food. We ordered Soup and Salad. Finally found a manager. Her name was Sharon. She was amazing. Totally turned things around. We finally got served. The food was tasty and hot. From the soup to bread sticks. The salad was fresh and crisp It made a bad experience into an enjoyable dinner. Great managerial follow through. read more

Just opening for the day as we arrived shortly after 11am. In the area and thought I would try their new promo I seen on the TV commercial (spicy 3 meat sauce). Well, we did enjoy the Shrimp Fritto Misto however the rest of the food was just alright. Service - good Suzanne- 4 star My cocktail on the other hand; although tasty - no one noticed the rotting strawberry. Fortunately, none of that part of the strawberry touched my drink otherwise I'd be asking for a new one. read more

Honestly we went here under the misperception that Olive Garden would be less expensive than some of the other options in town. Yeah, not the case. It's $20-24/entree. Inflation or just tourist town? last time I reviewed Olive Garden Carson City was eight months ago, but I have been there several times since then, probably once every few weeks. Yesterday I went to lunch with a very good friend and she was running late by 25 minutes, but they said no problem. They brought me my iced tea and they didn't rush me. Our server was named Dakota, good looking young man, very friendly, very personable and he gave us excellent service. I ordered food to go and he planned it perfectly so by the time we finished, he had everything packaged up and ready to go. He saw I was going to take the last breadstick and he said I'll bring you some more to take home since I had to go bag for my lunch The lunch specials are so amazing because they're very reasonable, you get unlimited salad, which is the best I've ever had unlimited bread. Our glasses were always filled with whatever beverage we were drinking, and when they brought our food, my eggplant Parmesan had two huge deliciously, breaded, and fried eggplant and a generous serving of spaghetti. I also got one of their "take home "six dollar entrées, which was the five cheese baked ziti which was also a very large serving. After we finished eating, we wanted to sit and visit for a while and Dakota said no problem. If you need more beverages, just let me know and I will refill. They topped it off with some delicious mint chocolate candies, and when he brought the bill, I was very surprised. I got iced tea, two of the eggplant Parmesan dinners, one of the baked ziti to go and a huge amount of salad and breadsticks we had while we were there my bill was $37. The last time I went to Burger King or McDonald's it was pretty high so this is excellent bargain. They also have a special that you can make your own pasta dish, choosing your own pasta and any sauce that you want to go on it for $14 and of course that includes all of the salad and breadstick you can devour. 1st off, we have not been to an Olive Garden since the last trip in 2018 and we lost my father-in-law shortly after. This was his favorite restaurant ever. Anytime we came for a vacation, we would always eat here Now we have retired to Carson City to the same house, we got a gift card and decided to go give it a try. Now our Waiter was the most awesome gentleman ever. Morey T. is his name, and he knows how to take care of his customers, very soft-spoken man, but he is on top of everything. Absolutely loved him!! We will go back just for his service. On too the food We both decided on the salad with our meals. Oh so delicious!! We both decided on the Build your own pasta bowl. I opted for angel hair with the mushroom sauce and added the 16 shrimp for 5.49 (great choice) this bowl was 3 meals for me! Hubby had the rotini pasta with meat sauce and added 3 meatballs for 5.00 (He loved it) also 3 meals The restaurant itself is very nice, open and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I had a berry sangria, highly recommend. We had a slight issue trying to check out on the tabletop thing. Hate those at any restaurant. The manager who helped us check out was also very pleasant. Her name is Tracy Smith. She was so sweet and very helpful. All in all it left a great impression. I usually cook homemade Italian, so another reason we have not been here yet. Had dinner there last night with a group of four. We were met with a friendly greeting and prompt seating. Started off the meal with salad and bread...both were delicious, and afterwards we chose the Chicken Parmesan, Tour of Italy, and an Alfredo. All were prepared very nicely, and very flavorful. Dropped by for lunch yesterday and Nate was my server. He was super sweet and attentive with us. Hands down the best server I have had in a long time. I wish I could bring him to Sparks, so we could request him when my kids have to have their chicken Alfredo from here. They offer great deals on take home meals for a fixed price with the purchase of an entrée. You can't beat it. We got our fixes and had plenty for leftovers. I indulged in my cheat meal and I'm not sorry. It was the cleanest Olive garden I've ever been to. I would stop in again and of course ask for Nate again. The last three visits to Olive Garden were extremely disappointing. The service has really gone downhill as has the food. The last time I was in the server took our whole appetizer and meal order and brought everything out at the same time. I got dessert and it happened to be frozen solid on a hot plate like that was going to defrost it...... when I made the waitress aware of the problem she asked me if I wanted to go box, I would've liked to have eaten it right then and there. The second trip which was tonight the server was very nice but inattentive , when I got my food, my steak was quite literally beef jerky and an itty-bitty portion at that probably because it had been dried to a prune. Another great lunch at Olive Garden in Carson City. We arrived at the 11 am opening time. Warmly greeted and immediately seated. Our hostess became our server and our order was promptly taken. We ordered the endless soup and salad with breadsticks lunch, $11.99. Plus Arnold Palmers. We also ordered breaded shrimp and vegetables with two sauces, sirracha aioli and marinara. Our food arrived hot within 10 minutes. The Zuppa is my favorite and the gnocchi his. We inquired if the appetizer was enough for two and she assured us it was. She was right because we took half home. The marinara was my preference. We wanted dessert but were so full we took it to go. The very tasty chocolate lasagna, a layered chocolate cake, and the chocolate pie. We also took two of the $6 meals to go, 5 cheese ziti and spaghetti and meatballs. Our server was great. Checking on us constantly and immediately addressing our requests. The food was hot and flavorful and large portions. We didn't need refills as the drinks are served in tall glasses. The service is just horrible the servers are straight up rude and throw the plates and drinks on the table and their attitude is overall the problem. As soon as we got seated the server acted as if we had an attitude and took around 30 minutes just to take our order and when taking our order kept looking the other way and had to keep asking us again and again what we wanted the service here is terrible and the servers are so entitled. Jessica our server - needs to find A new line of work. Jessica comes to our table and gets everything ordered - our meal our drinks, shee did this purposely so she could go do whatever. All the while - no bread sticks - no salad . I had to flag hur down and ask, shee made us feel like we were inconveniencing hur. Jessica's attention to our table was poor at best - I could tell - this wasn't just a bad night - this is who shee is . Then after we finished our meal - I asked how to use the payment kiosk at our table, Jessica faces the kiosk away from our view - puts all the info in ask for my payment card, processes the info and then brings up the confirm payment screen - where Jessica moved the tip meter bar all the way up to 20% - total B!€£¥ ! We came here to this Olive Garden Location two years ago and the servers were all very good, nice, well dressed, attentive and courteous. We had the soup salad and breadsticks. Usually it's pretty fresh but the 1st batch of salad has some wilted very limp lettuce in it. We had to wait for the breadsticks as they were in the oven. The breadsticks came and we asked for another bowl and it was being made. We asked for another batch of bread sticks, " they are in the oven". oiy vey ! This was after the 12 lunch rush. I have to say, I don't care if it's a chain, the food is delicious. I mostly get takeout. It's always packaged well, the order is correct, the food is hot, and the people working there are top notch, friendly, and efficient. The portions are plentiful too. On the rare occasion, if there is any problem with my order, it's taken care of promptly, and in a friendly helpful manner. I recommend trying the shrimp and chicken carbonara. Had lunch at Carson City Olive Garden today. We were placed at a booth in the corner. Our waitress was slow. It did not seem too busy. It took 1 hr 15 mins to get our food. They brought our granddaughters food and we didn't get our meal until 1 hour later. I asked if they had forgotten us and the waitress said no they were just very busy and the manager were cooking. My noodles were dry and stuck together and my sauce was drizzled over them. The breadsticks were dry and burnt. Our wait never cleared any of our plates off the table or drink glasses. It was a very strange experience that cost $97 for 3 adults and a child. Two adults even shared a plate! I am so disappointed with today's visit and experience. read more

Extremely mediocre. Service was friendly but the server was either overworked or very forgetful. I had the fried shrimp appetizer and a bowl of minestrone soup. The soup was not especially hot. The shrimp was about a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5, but the miscellaneous fried vegetables accompanying the shrimp were awful. And the whole plate was left with about 1/3 random little pieces of crust. I asked for a refill on my club soda and it never came. The waiter was apologetic. The dining room was reasonably clean. Service was reasonably fast. All in all, nothing at all special. Incidentally, did you know, if you want to order a appetizer as your entree, for example the fried shrimp or fried calamari, their salad is $13. There is no simple appetizer salad. read more

I mean... it's Olive Garden! It's the slice of Americana that we all know & most of us love or have loved at some point. My husband and I recently had a date day in Carson City on a Monday when most restaurants in the area are closed. So, I made the executive decision to go to Olive Garden for the first time in a long while. And I was impressed! Drinks-- Italian Margarita... always! I love the shot of Amaretto to pour on top. So yummy. Food-- The (newer) Fried Zitti Fritta appetizer is fabulous. It is fried ziti pasta stuffed with cheese and served with a side of alfredo & marinara sauce. Breadsticks-- you gotta dip them in the alfredo! So good. Salad-- a classic. Fettucini Alfredo (add broccoli)-- honestly underwhelming. I added copious amounts of salt & pepper to this and the pasta is overcooked. Service-- AMAZING! Our waiter, Casey was so attentive and kind. We really enjoyed having him around during our meal. Table Kiosks-- OMG take these things away. Throw them into a fire and never turn back again. There is a little blue light that pops up on the kiosk when you press the "Call Server" button. Starting with the hostess, she was very unkind and actually dropped the door on me. Then after she sat us our waitress took 15min to even take our drink order. Brought us the wrong drinks. She was not very kind when taking our orders and wanted us to order everything all at once. She never came to check on us after the food was given to us and took our device to pay on so we sat and waited another 15min to even get our check. When it came time to pay she waited and watched over my shoulder to see how much i was tipping her. When i would turn it away she would inch closer to me. Food was really good. Ordered shrimp scampi on lunch menu with their delicious salad. The mixed drinks are awful. Peach Bellini was brown and tasted like sweet tea and no liquor. The blue drink was suppose to have coconut rum and pineapple juice. I did taste coconut but no liquor and it was too sweet to consume. Also the Margarita was too sweet without a hint of liquor. Most people have been to Olive Garden. We all know the ambiance is quite nice. And the food today was very tasty and well prepared. I had the seafood alfredo and it was excellent with lots of alfredo sauce. Mom had a small soup and salad. Other person at the table had chicken alfredo. All of our meals were very tasty. The breadsticks were very very good this time...once we finally got them. The pumpkin spice cheese cake was very good as well from what I was told. Our issue was our server. Forgot the never ending alfredo sauce for the breadsticks until we told him that it was missing, halfway through salad. He was inconsistant in checking on us. We were his only table in that section. Ran out of drinks as well and all I had was water. Got much more help from the server assistants. When we were done, we asked for boxes. They are supposed to box it up. All he did was drop some boxes off and walk off. We ordered some to go items including desert. He forgot about those as well till we reminded him. He seemed very disengaged as well as having a Zym in. It was obvious. Also, why don't the order/pay devices send food requests to the kitchen as well as the register. We were told orders on there DON'T GO TO THE KITCHEN! The only thing that saved this review from a 1 star was the fact that the manager was all over it when we informed him of it. Oh boy where do I start.... We sit down order our food and our waitress grabs the tablet on the table to input the order.. what happened to the server taking your order? I could have put in the order myself on the tablet. Then the appetizer we ordered to come out as an entree came to the table before anything. I told them and they took it away. Then they show up with the kids food before anything salad or breadsticks. Finally got 3 breadsticks and salad with the wrong dressing. Immediately after our food comes out. When it takes 15 minutes to get water on the table, you know you should have gone somewhere else for dinner! And that's just to start in this debacle! Ordered the 6 oz sirloin steak medium rare and received a piece of charred leather which one could resole your shoe. How charred? The chef placed the charcoal side down so I wouldn't see it. I noticed that the steak wasn't right as soon as my fork hit it. I told the waiter who had the order remade, and the chef wasn't happy, so he salted it so much that I took it home and washed it off and gave it to the dog! Will I be back? Are you kidding me???? We live in Gardnerville and on Wednesday February 5, it was my son's 10th birthday. His favorite place and restaurant of choice? Olive Garden. We arrive Wednesday evening around 5:45/6 pm to very quiet restaurant, I was thinking YAY we will get good and fast service. Oh boy, was I wrong. Aniah (or something close to that name) was our server. It seemed to be starting off well, ordered our drinks and food all at the same time. Aniah comes back with our bottle of Pinot and the kids drinks. She opens the wine and pours the first glass-spilling wine all over the table. Doesn't say anything. Second glass is even worse with the wine spill. Doesn't say anything. Spilled water on our table, bench and my husbands leg, STILL doesn't say anything or grab extra napkins, just completely avoids eye contact and walks away. Oh it gets better. While we're having our breadsticks (salad was old, bitter and wilted) my husband noticed the hostess putting together tables together for a large party. Our server was no where to be found so he got up to let the hostess know that it was our son's birthday. Now, remember, the hostess sat us at this table so you would think she would be aware of where my husband and our family is sitting. Next thing you know, our server walks up to the table next to us and says "I hear we have a birthday here!" Confused, the young man smiles and says "oh ya, I forgot it's my birthday" Needless to say, the booth next to us gets the birthday treatment with free dessert. At this point we're chuckling that they made a mistake and the people went along with it.. Our food finally comes, not brought out by our server. In fact, she hasn't come to check on us at all. We eat, then need boxes. Still no server. Another worker walks by and asks if we need boxes, we say yes. She comes back with the boxes and set them on the table. I've never seen that at Olive Garden, usually they box everything up for you. Then she asks if there's anything else we need and I say yes, it is our son's birthday. She says oh! what dessert would you like? He orders the chocolate lasagna. At this point, we're not feeling waited on at all but more like a bother to the server. The table gets cleared and I decided to take a photo since it's our son's birthday. Another server, in the next section walks over and asks if he can take the photo. So nice and he even came back to check if we liked the photos. Server finally comes out with the cake and candle and we sing happy birthday. After it's done, we're expecting our server to come back out and thank us for coming in tonight and bring the bill. Our server does NOT come back. I go to use the restroom and come back out to no bill still, she finally walks by me and says "is everything ok" I say can we get our bill please. She grabs the tablet on the table and says it's right here. WOW. NO thank you for coming in tonight! or Happy Birthday! Nothing. AND she didn't even take my son's birthday cake off the bill. Going out to eat is NOT cheap. I think we all know that at this point, but to get such terrible service on top of a $150 bill was despicable. Olive Garden, I will never be back. Aniah or whatever your name is, you should seriously consider a new profession. read more

The last two times we went here it was a late last minute decision. We walked in at 9:30pm expecting to be seated at the bar and rushed out. Surprisingly we got the best customer service both times! Well that was a disappointing dinner.....thank goodness I own a microwave oven, but hey at least the salads were tasty. Hence the 3 stars. Ordered 2 entrees for delivery, lasagna & eggplant parm. The lasagna was tasty but the serving size was maybe a 3" square and the fettuccine was a cold congealed lump of pasta. The Eggplant parm serving was generous but was stone cold, hard and uncooked. I don't think it even saw the inside of an oven. I was given a 45-60min. delivery time. The delivery guy had 1 other stop before mine and believe or not the guy arrived right on time, 60 min. later at 7:03. Yeah he can have the 5 stars. Now I'm only 15 minutes away, straight up Carson. So what the heck did the kitchen staff do in the supposed prep & cooking time? I understand that food can lose heat from the time it leaves the restaurant to when it gets to my door and that's probably what happened to the lasagna & fettuccine but there's no excuse for the uncooked eggplant parm. Hint: Try using insulated bags for delivery instead of those useless giant paper bags. read more
