Had an outstanding time at Olive Garden a few days ago. I decided to try something new and order the create-your-own pasta. I ended up getting the rigatoni with the 5 cheese marinara and grilled chicken on top. For my appetizer I got my usual chicken & gnocchi soup with breadsticks. Everything was absolutely amazing! I had a coupon for a free dessert and since we were celebrating a special occasion, we ended up getting a chocolate cheesecake slice that said "Congratulations." I'm done with Olive Garden. A few weeks ago we had Eggplant Parmigiana and lasagna and to call it mediocre was being kind. We decided to give it one last go and had Fettuccine Alfredo, one with chicken and one without. The chicken tastes like chalk and the sauce had no flavor. Threw more than half of it away. Breadsticks were not done and were the color of vanilla ice cream. Salad had wilted lettuce and lots of lettuce stems. Due the high cost of eating out, we only treat ourselves once a month. My previous review was a good one but I had to change it. Their service went downhill greatly. I always get peach tea when I come here but because another employee made a bad batch everyone gets watered down peach tea because they can't be bothered to make a correct one. They refused to make more. Employees seem to be too worried about talking to each other than serving. They bring the main meal first then you have to wait almost 30 mins for some soup. Their excuse is they were waiting for the soup spoons to be cleaned. Got distracted talking to my manager. We barely got any service. I paid my check and walked out. Absolutely horrible customer service. Even after we voiced our complaints they didn't give a damn. Just kept saying generic excuses. Went to dinner at Olive Garden expecting not to find anything to eat. I am celiac and must eat gluten free. I had read that Olive gardens are hit or miss on cross contamination... BUT... the server was very knowledgeable- as was the manager-on gluten-free and cross contamination challenges. I ordered the pasta with marinara and added the parm cheese. It was great and I did not get sick at all. I asked them if they used the same water to boil pasta/ gf pasta and they kept assuring me no. I went with it and glad I did. My kids love Olive Garden and we hadn't gone in a while because of limited options. There were plenty of options so I would say give it a try. The server, manager and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Everyone with me enjoyed various pasta dishes and the breadsticks and salad. This is the worst Olive Garden I have ever been to. After waiting an hour for a table, we were seated in the very back by the bar. I ordered soup and salad. When it finally came out, the soup was cold. I never got a salad plate. I waited at least 15 minutes before I had to ask for one. The salad was just a bunch of croutons with one scoop of salad underneath. (See photos) When addressing it to the manager, she acted like she could care less. She said,"oh you don't like croutons?" No! Not a bowl full and no salad!!! The second soup was lukewarm. But, very salty. My son has been a restaurant manager for Waffle House, Golden Corral and Olive Garden. The whole place is a Grey Gardens situation. For the love of all that is holy, tear down to the studs and sacrifice to the HGTV hero's of renovation and restoration. The smell of the resturaunt hits you like a heatwave fresh of a plane in Vietnam. The food was salty and luke warm. The chicken was precooked and most likely thrown on the stove to heat and then drenched in sauce, it was tough, salty and undistinguishable. The food quality has gone down hill and frankly the cleaning crew (if there is one) is simply putting lipstick on a pig.. the dinning room is filthy and I mean filthy.. I've seen third world hostels cleaner than this. The tables are greasy and yet sticky, the carpet looks like it was pulled from Studio 54 and smells like it too. The napkins smell like the Hannibal Lecter Special.. please for the love of all that is holy, shut down and renovate.. bring the chain back to its splendor. Maybe people will return to OG for the experience if they are not in danger of contracting a significant parasite worthy of the Monsters Inside Me episode. What I ordered wasn't bad. I had fried Ravioli, chicken and gnocchi and seafood Alfredo. I thought both were cooked well and the flavor was good. The restaurant had nice lighting. The only complaint I had was certain items on the menu were not available and we weren't told until after we placed the order. They also had all you can eat pasta and salad on the menu and we were told that it wouldn't be available again until November. Then why have it on the menu? They need to do a better job on informing the waiters and waitresses what's available on the menu so that when customers order they can inform them right away. read more

This Olive Garden is my favorite store in its chain in the RDU area. The food is everything you expect from Olive Garden, and customer service is outstanding. I've always gotten my appetizers and drinks within ten minutes of being seated, and entrees within twenty minutes. The food is always piping hot, their signature breadsticks fresh and warm, and the bottomless bowl of salad crispy AND WITH ACTUAL OLIVES!! Most Olive Gardens I've dined at give you the bowl of salad with only two olives in it! Not so here. You get crunchy lettuce, fresh olives and their delicious signature dressing! Wine fans shouldn't balk at trying their house wine. I've never gotten a bad glass, and of course their wine list and cocktails are awesome. I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala and the Eggplant Parmisan, but I've had all their entrees and you can't go wrong with any of them. This Olive Garden is a great choive for a family dinner, romantic night out, celebration or just a good meal after a long afternoon in the nearby shopping center. read more

To start off, the hostess was very personable and treated our party of 6 with respect, Our waiter/waitress as professional and extremely attentive to all of our needs. The food was excellent and we had the Fettuccine Alfredo, fettuccine with brocolli, tour of Italy, angel hair with meat sauce and meatballs, pasta with cream sauce and mushrooms and off the children's menu was chicken tenders. Across the board a wholly disappointing experience. Service was incredibly slow and of the poorest quality. 30 minutes for salads to arrive, coming out with 2 of the entrees. The soups that made up the other half of the entrees took another 15 minutes to arrive. No drinks were refilled the entire time, someone from our table and another table had to fill their own glasses of water after asking multiple times. Unlimited soup salad and breadsticks turned into one bowl of soup and one salad, as the amount of time to ladle it into the bowl approached eternity. I'll be honest- Olive Garden is not my favorite place to eat. It's a personal preference- but when the family wants to go there, I go. This was the first time we have been to this location. They were understaffed for the day/time we went as we saw entire rooms available for seating, but no one in them and a wait time of 20min. The food was good- always nice portions (especially for the kids) and our server was absolutely amazing. We decided to celebrate my mother in laws birthday by ordering takeout from olive garden. Y'all, I couldn't be more pleased! We searched through lots of family meal deal options with several chain restaurants and this was the best deal. We chose the take and bake option, which needs to be ordered 4 hours in advance. The meal comes with lasagna that you heat up in the oven and top with some extra sauce and cheese, a large salad, bottle of dressing, packets of parmesean, container of garlic salt, container of butter for bread sticks, and the pkg of breadsticks that you heat up in the oven. Oh and they added the Andes mints too! It takes 75-90 minutes for prep fyi. They offer multiple packages, but this one was only priced at $45 so we loved it. We had 3 adults and 3 kids eating it and had leftovers for the next day. Were definitely doing this again! read more

I met a friend here for lunch today, and it was much busier than I expected at 12:15! The hostess seemed a bit flustered and I overheard a manager say that two servers where running late, but this had no baring on our experience. Once seated, our hostess took our drink order in an effort to help out. My friend and I both ordered unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks-such a great value! I had the chicken gnocchi soup, two bowls of it, and I really enjoyed it. I also had two helpings of salad. I'm not sure how I only managed to eat one breadstick because I love my carbs! Our meal started of with being Ignored by a rude hostess who refused to seat us after removing us from the waitlist and told us to go to the bar. The bartender was overwhelmed and unassisted by any of the dozens of servers or manager loitering around the Togo area. She paid attention to the previous guests she had a catered to their needs while barely acknowledging we were seated. We waited over 35 to get breadsticks after part of our entrees already arrived, our appetizer never arrived, our drinks sat empty for 25 minutes and never got refilled. Our meals had to be remade after being dropped and we took them to go to try and put this disappointing and discriminatory experience behind us.
