Good food, loud atmosphere, and genuinely wished they were on door dash! I have not been to an Olive Garden for YEARS and was looking forward to giving it a try with a fresh perspective. I like that you can mix and match how you want to customize your meals. The salad, breadsticks and food is tasty, filling, and guaranteed to have left overs. The services were excellent and the staff were super helpful. My biggest difficulty was it was super loud, crowded, and took away from enjoying my meal. I basically had to yell at times to be heard. The tables seem to be cramped in to fit as many people as possible, staff and customers had difficulty navigating between tables, and it just was not a pleasant experience. If I could door dash food from here, I would 100% just to enjoy at my own home. Maybe worth looking at slow times to eat as well. read more

We had a call ahead for 6, online said 0-10 minutes. That's when the nightmare started. The hostess said the table designated for us has been there an hour but she couldn't give any estimate, could be 10 minutes could be another hour. After amply complaining due to our having 3 young kids, the manager got is seated about 20 minute later. Another 20 minutes until our server showed up. Got drinks then she said, I have to drop salad off an other table. 15 minutes later she finally took our order, we hadn't been there quite an hour yet. 3 tables came and went after we ordered but before we got our meals. We were told kids pizza and salmon the longer than all other meals to prepare. After 90 minutes we got served. Kids were no longer hungry and wanted to leave. 2" more minutes to get our bill and a couple of to go boxes. Literally one of my worst dining experiences in the past few years. I have to give props to this place. We arrived on a busy Saturday even at 2:30 in the afternoon. We were seated nearly right away but it was about 20 minutes and we still had received no service. Eventually we flagged someone down and learned that there was a shift change and they forgot to assign us to someone. Normally we would still be a little bit miffed about it but they completely comped our appetizer and apologized profusely. This definitely made up for it and we were very grateful! Visited here a little over a week ago on a Thursday about 30 minutes before closing. Staff was nice for the most part but I could tell by body language that some of the staff had a slight attitude. I understand how its been a long day but it just gave off an unwelcoming vibe. We already knew what we wanted and all we got was the endless soup, salad, and breadsticks, so we were an easy/quick table. The food was good, however, and breadsticks were fresh! Our visit started well but as time progressed the service deteriorated. Not sure if our waitress was to blame or the kitchen. we ordered our meal after drinks came but it took over 30 minutes to get the meal and when it arrived the food was not hot. And one of the meals the waitress said it had to be remade so we just cancelled that meal as we weren't waiting longer. We had to ask for more drinks, more bread as our waitress just wasn't paying attention. A manager came to our table when we asked the waitress to remove the meal from our check we didn't receive and asked what happened so I told her the above and she apologized but the overall experience was not good. The rating is because when we got our final bill they tried to charge us $3 for a table game, you know those electronic things that help people kill time on table tops which we never even touched. When I brought it to the service attention she said "oh it does that all the time for some reason." Isn't it funny it didn't for " some reason" remove our soft drinks charged? I dined here with friends recently and we had a great dinner together. Our server was Stephanie H and she was very attentive to us start to finish. We wanted to chat since we were not in a hurry and she gave us a basket of bread sticks and the time we needed before taking our order. Our drinks were soon delivered. My beer was nice and cold. Once we were rolling she brought the salad and as expected the salad was cold and so were our bowls. That is a real plus for me. Shortly our meals were out and looked delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara and it was amazing, hot, saucy and just delicious. The shrimp were plentiful and perfectly cooked. My friend's meals met their expectations as well. I think Olive Garden is a go to for them so the thumbs up was a good thing. Stephanie offered us a dessert menu but we had to decline. The place was packed as usual and the hostesses kept the front end in order. Kudos to Stephanie H. And all the staff for a good dining experience. Today was just one of those days that went smoothly.. everything tasted amazing and the service was better than ever. Thank you Chris (mgr) for the warm welcome and the check-ins as my husband had fun entertaining you and it made our date even more enjoyable- thanks. Thank you waitress (so sorry I don't remember your name but appreciated your warmth in serving)for your friendliness and expediency and appreciating our want for dessert first :). It was just after 11 so it's still brunch right? The zeppoli(donuts) with raspberry and chocolate sauce on the side was the perfect start. Soft, warm and light and fluffy --- NOT greasy at all-- they were the perfect start to our meal. Next we both had the soup- the chicken dumpling soup is my favorite... creamy yumminess with awesome little perfect gnocchi... he had some minestrone and we both enjoyed it but if choosing we'd both go with the gnocchi soup. We split the lunch portion of chicken parm and lasagna and both came out so hot and so full of flavor... not sure why but the parm was even better than usual. The lasagna was good but if a choice for only one dish , I would go with their chicken parm.. so good!! When we arrived I asked to be seared away from people and Chris really listened- I love that! Olive Garden continues to be one of our favourite Italian restaurants out there. They have a wide variety of options and most if not all of them we have enjoyed thoroughly. On this occasion I got the Seafood Alfredo which is fettuccine alfredo mixed with shrimp and scallops. Olive Garden has one of the very best Alfredo sauces out there and that is definitely true here. Lots of shrimp as well as scallops here really made this a delicious and filling dish. The breadsticks are always delicious and endless so that's good as well as their Chicken And Gnocchi soup that comes with it although I wish they'd put more than like 2 pieces of Gnocchi into it. Visited this evening and beat the crowds, we were seated quickly and our server greeted us and introduced herself with a smile. Carly was very welcoming. After bringing us our drinks and salad and putting cheese on it she even tossed it so the cheese would not be bunched up (wife likes a lot of cheese) no one has ever tossed it before. We asked her for her recommendations and she responded and told us her opinion and stated everything is good. She came back periodically to see if we needed anything. On Saturday 9/7/24 I checked in online at 6PM. The wait said 20 minutes and we got there at 6:20. I told them we were here for our table and she told me the wait is going to be 45 to 50 minutes. I confusingly replied "but I checked in at 6 so is my wait going to be 25 minutes then? Was there not a table saved for my online check in?" She said it will be the same as everyone else and didn't say whether or not they acknowledged my table on their list at 6. They do NOT use the online check in system. This is extremely unprofessional. We had a movie afterwards, we could not wait that long. Why have the online check in when you're not going to use it when it gets busy?? I was given a gift card to go to Olive Garden, so my boyfriend and I decided to go. We are not from the area and found the Florence location the closest. The food was great as always, the atmosphere was just as nice as usual as well. The problem that we ended up having involved our server. Our server was a woman named Kelee (probably not written correctly) who had a horrible attitude problem. From the get go she seemed nice. When she asked us for drinks, my boyfriend and I said waters and she only came back with his, and she later came back with my water. When we were ordering our meals, we both got entrees which come with soup or salad. Once we said our entree choice, assuming she would ask us if we wanted soup of choice or salad, she closed the server book and walked away. What we also noticed was her attitude towards the table next to us, a party of 5, where she was very nice and asked them if they would like soup or salad. When she brought out the food of the table next to us, she turned around and served us salad (without asking us if we wanted it). My boyfriend asked if we could get soup instead, since we weren't given an option, and she said "what do you want then?" And we told her the gnocchi. She came back with the soup and she aggressively set the bowls down on our table. We began to feel uncomfortable with her service but decided to ride it out. Once we got our entrees and were ready to leave we asked her if we could get boxes. She came back and said to me "masala?" (I got the chicken Marsala fettuccini). At first I didn't understand what she said so I asked her to repeat herself and she gave attitude asking if she could box my food. Once she boxed the food, she took the dirty plate and aggressively threw it back in front of me, and threw all of the dirty silverware in it. She then left with an empty tray and didn't take the dirty dish back. I felt very uncomfortable with this behavior I wanted to immediately leave. This behavior of our server shocked me, and what made this experience worse, was how my boyfriend mentioned how much more rude she was towards me than to him. To sum over the serving experience, the attitude and rudeness wants me to give a 0 star. There is no reason to behave this way towards people, especially when we were as kind as possible in the situation. We sat at the bar, and the bartender said, "You look like a lady who likes dessert." I found the comment very offensive, as it felt like he was implying I was overweight. I later overheard him mention that he'd been working there for 18 years. If that's true, he clearly lacks social skills and should be more mindful of what he says to customers. What can go wrong with Olive Garden? Service. It used to be when you went to Olive Garden not you ordered an entrée you would get a big bowl of salad. I guess that still applies but not if you're in a group of 5. In my party each person ordered an entrée and I would have thought five big bowls of salad or at least two. No, just one. And by the time the other four guests said what they didn't want in the salad it was basically just a bowl of lettuce with the other stuff on the side. I asked the server to just bring me a regular salad because I like all the salad mixed together with the dressing. She replied she wasn't allowed. I tried to argue but quickly saw my complaints were falling on deaf ears. My recommendation is that if you go there and like the salad be aware you might not get the "never ending" salad they boast to serve. read more

The wait was less than five minutes as we walked in the door everyone at the counter we're friendly and courteous our waitress was Amanda She was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. We were in debated on ordering the full meal or the lunch portion after a few moments of debate, we decided on the lunch portion and added extra mushrooms and chicken. We forgot we were at Olive Garden, hostess were friendly and our waitress was on it and never had to ask for refills, again great service! Ok, two stats for sentimental value ( bread stick and salads). The rest makes Panera seem like good food. A bus from a retirement home must have showed up when I went. Surprise the 40 year old server who made poor life choices at a young age ( neck tattoo and 4 kids) is now forced to pretend to tolerate the rest of us, she militantly asks for drink orders and try's to upsell the appetizers. Once that happens we don't see her or the trainee that orbits her. It's not often we go to franchise restaurants, but here we were. After a quick shopping trip from one side of Florence to the other, we were hangry. Pasta heals the soul and the breadsticks leave you in a food coma. It was a busy location, but we didn't wait long. Waitress was sweet and social so we enjoyed her doubling up on the fresh parm cheese for each course and refilling the breadsticks! Food wasn't bad, basically standard olive garden. Unfortunately, we tried to pay part of our check with a gift card. The little computer at our table could not handle splitting the bill between a gift card and a debit card and completely froze up. Checking out to leave became a 20 minute ordeal.
