Look, I know what OG is and I know what it's not, but it's still darn good! We love to eat there with the family for a good, hearty meal at a decent price. The service at this particular location is a little "hit and miss." Our favorite server is Brittany. She is friendly and gives good consistent service, but we have had a couple others who have not been nearly as attentive and it can be frustrating. Mom and I went there for her birthday lunch, sat down for a good 15 minutes with no contact from anyone. Didn't even get water to drink while we waited and the place was anything but busy. This is the second time in a row this happened at this particular location. We left and will not be coming back to the Gresham location. If zero stars was an option, it would be a more apt review. Almost all the time I have good experiences at the Olive Garden. This location is no different. The food is just like it is in any other state and the service is decent. I've had one bad server that may have been new, so I will cut him some slack. He didn't get us drinks for a long time, left his cheese grater on the table (may have not been such a bad thing!), and was kind of rude. You know, Olive Garden just isn't my favorite restaurant in the world. I've had plenty of bad experiences at several other locations from a few different states. The biggest problem I usually run into is terrible service, unhappy and moody employees. THIS Olive Garden is amazing. It actually makes me WANT to go eat here. We had about a 15 person group, waiting obviously took long, to get our drinks taken 20 minutes? To get our food order taken another 20? Too long for me. Food was okay my zupa tuschna was lacking any pepper salt, flavor, as well as my seafood Alfredo we had two waiters (big group) the women was not helpful NEVER got my drink refilled. Came to our section of the table asked two people around me if they wanted cheese on there dishes didn't bother asking me didn't even look at me walker away before I could ask, it's a big group your obviously going to get tipped well doesn't mean you get to suck at waiting us. Always love the OG it was valentines day and expected a rush of madness. Called a table in 20 min before arrival. Got front row parking. Sat for less than 10 minutes before we got our table. Worst service ever. Probably will never return to this location. All I ordered was a soup for my son and it took them over 20 minutes for them to give it to me. Then when it was time to pay, I had to yell at the people up front because no one was attending me they said that it was a whole different process if you were taking out so by the time I got home my soup for my son was supercold top of that I only got one breadstick. I literally cannot believe how many employees walked past me and didn't attend or even bother asked me if I need any kind of help. I feel like I should have just left but I wasted so much time. This place used to be horribly managed. Half the restaurant would be closed off so they would make everyone wait, like it's some hot location for excellent food. Nice try. They would also constantly run out of breadsticks or other items like tomatoes or onions. Hey go across the street to Fredy's or WinCo and get some more veggies. That was not out of the question when I worked for a restaurant. Over the last few years they have really gotten their act together. The food quality and service has vastly improved. I have to give 5 stars and heres why.....with Olive Garden, I know what to expect. No surprises. And this particular store is remarkabley consistent. The food isn't life changing but it real good! The price is just a bit high for the food quality but the somewhat ambiance makes that up. All in all you know what your getting, and this store delivers just that. read more

OK, here it goes. I think the reason behind 4 stars and not 2 is because I am in a good mood. I showed up at 7:25 (dinner for myself) and had to wait "5-10 minutes so they can clear off a table" ... But the place was pretty dead. The host at the front didn't smile one time while talking to people coming or going and was such a robot it was a bummer to see. My server came up to me and was very nice the entire visit but seemed to be rushing around everywhere. I was completely out of my salad, bread sticks and beverage but he didn't stop by even after making eye contact with me. He also had such a loud voice that even other tables would be startled when he laughed. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND what it's like having a loud voice, but it was kind of unfortunate that I could hear every conversation he had over the music. It had been 40 minutes since I ordered and still didn't have my meal, I ordered Shrimp Alfredo. When I made eye contact again he didn't even walk around to me, he just asked through the plants if I was OK. I said "I would like sine more salad and bread sticks" he said he was busy packing up the other tables food and he'll be right over.. I was confused why he asked in the first place. He sent many people to go check on my food, at this point I'm full of salad and bread and didn't really mind just hanging out waiting. Of course servers start to freak out but I really wasn't too bothered by it. Everyone was super nice. The kitchen manager even came out and told me my meal was on him tonight. That was sweet and unexpected. I'm grateful. The service could have been better, but everyone was pretty nice. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry I totally get how chaotic it can get when the kitchen makes a mistake. I'm not worried about it and I will be back! read more

Came in here on Friday with my friend for some lunch. The salad and bread sticks were good as usual. I got the stuffed mushrooms and one of their Long Island iced teas. The mushrooms were really good, but their drinks are a little on the sweet side. Our server Alex was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to go for a lunch date. read more

We eat at Olive Garden in Gresham Oregon regularly. Last night we went in celebration of my granddaughter's graduation to high school. Mostly, I have no complaints about where we are seated but on the few occasions that we have been seated on the north side by the windows it was a miserable experience - even in summer. The air conditioning vents blow across the room and down the windows so that you feel like you're sitting in a freezer. It is impossible to enjoy your food or to have a leisurely experience. All you can think about is how cold you are and how quickly you can get to a warm place. Last night we asked several times if they could raise the temp but every time the blower came on we were right back in popcicle-ville. (The outside temp was in the 50's, btw, so why the need for air conditioning?) On other occasions when we've been seated there we've asked to be moved but last night we couldn't. I have one other complaint from last night. Our table was across from the kitchen access. The door had a most annoying squeak. Every time it opened/closed (which was often) it would squeak. We all joked about wishing we had WD40 in our purses but even a little olive oil on it would have helped. It probably doesn't bother the staff but being seated right in front of the door for an hour, it was annoying. Lest I leave anyone with the idea that it was a terrible dinner let me say the food and service were good. The prices have gotten so high that we can only afford soup and salad but since we like that, we still come regularly. Next time I'll bring my polar gear or a portable heater! read more

So, I'll start with... Screw Steve (not an employee)! My boyfriend and I went for a fast dinner of soup and bread sticks after a day of moving, expecting to have a quiet meal, and did, at first. There was a big part of seven next to us that all of a sudden bursted into a family feud (brother and sister issues, I know too much about this family now). I was so impressed with the service that Jacob provided, he was by himself but still did not lack anything that we needed. Big disappointment for three meals costing $85.00. This chain has gone down hill... We will not be back. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a funky smell of burnt cheese and dirty mops. The Breadsticks were burnt on outside and under cooked on inside. The endless salad was almost frozen and the dressing tasted terrible. The Calamari had a tasty breading but the calamari itself was rubbery. The Filet was tough like shoe leather. The Chicken Marsala came drowned in a really oily sauce which tasted bitter (melted cheese oil and bad Marsala would be my guess). The chicken itself was over cooked and the mashed potatoes were rustic and lumpy which actually stood up to the oily sauce. The third dish was their Mushroom Ravioli had pasty dough with no seasoning in the mushroom filling. Our waiter David was friendly and engaging. He was the highlight of the evening. read more

Me and my daughter came here for dinner and loved every second of our experience! Our waitress Elizabeth was just awesome! Its all right but not top of the line . The salads are always lacking in olives (maybe 3 at the most) and tomato's. Not the same as pictured in the tv commercials . The servers hover in the beginning , pushing drinks other than water or soft drinks , and when ordering an appetizer, ask them to bring it BEFORE the meal or its a moot point . They are getting better at the breadsticks, leaving more than just one or two and not having to ask for more when needed. Appetizers are way over priced for what you actually get . The prices on the meals, drinks, etc are over what they are worth and when it comes time for the check, they push the % of tip on the one paying . Best times to go when its isn't busy like lunch, early on . read more

We used to come here all the time, and the pasta is pretty good, but the prices have really gone up in the last year. Food portions are too big for us, so we never finish everything, or have to bring some home, which we never really finish anyways. The waiters and waitresses are usually very friendly and work hard, which is a plus. We haven't been here recently, because we found other Italian restaurants where the portions are smaller and the food isn't overpriced, but maybe we'll give it another try someday. read more

One recommendation I'd like to make is the coffee. One of the few places in town to get a plane ole great cup of coffee. It's smooth and they serve you a coffee pot full with your own cup. Excellent service! We are always treated so well here. The food is great, servers are helpful and we are always delighted when we can make a trip to this Olive Garden! Our favorite servers are Megan and Stanley. Megan knew us so well she remembered what our regular orders were (even though our orders are knit-picky) and she would never disappoint. She knew us so well that she could also "surprise" us when we didn't know what to order and we always loved it! Last visit we had Stanley and he was just as amazing! This Olive Garden should be the only Olive Garden. I understand it's pretty much microwave Italian food, but their microwave (or whatever they do) is on point! The service is always good, the food is always hot & tasty, and it's been like that for about 20 years. Can't say the same thing about the other Olive Gardens. read more
