Just had a really great experience at Olive Garden and had to share. I ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara and split it with my mom. There is a $6+ charge for splitting a meal, which shows up as a "salad" on the bill. That part was a little frustrating--especially since it feels like a lot for something that's already part of the meal. I could understand maybe $3-$4 since it does add a bit of extra work for the kitchen, but $6 feels a bit steep. Still, it is what it is. On the bright side, the carbonara is absolutely the best thing on the menu in my opinion. Super rich, flavorful, and easily something I'd order again. And of course, the breadsticks were warm, soft, and just as good as always. My mom and sister each ordered cocktails (watermelon and green apple), and I ended up trying both. They were really good--especially the watermelon one, which we'd been recommended for a while by our wax lady. It definitely lived up to the hype. Service was also excellent. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing--our waters were always refilled, she checked in at the right times, and even the manager was walking around making sure everything was good. Went in to eat and everything was so expensive (everything over $15) for frozen dinner quality. The only thing semi fresh was the salad. The whole place was humid and funky. Because it was humid the salt shakers were filled with water. There was mold on the ceiling from it too. Poor circulation they should open some windows. Of course I tipped in a sit down restaurant but the thing that really grinds my gears is that fact that the next time I ordered to go here they demanded tips. Honey, if I'm picking up my order and burning my gas to get there then I'm not leaving tips. No one is serving me. Any other place I go to they bring the food out and don't demand tip. It's part of their job and if the business isn't paying them enough to where they have to demand from the customers then you have a real problem. The transaction was complete. I clearly left no tip online but the guy shoved a receipt in my face and wants me to sign it. It wasn't for card authorization. I already paid online AND I used a gift card. It was for a tip. Cornering customers and demanding more money. It sickens me and tipping culture is out of hand. I left the guy a tip because he was sweating and nice but see how they make you feel bad. Been to Olive Garden multiple times but never reviewed here, so here goes nothing! I'll start off by saying the staff at the front (host/hostess) are not very attentive. Customers walking in and out and no greeting to 1. Our server was amazing, though he did check on us every 2 minutes which is nice, but we couldn't finish our convo without our server popping back up again... the restaurant is nice, it's been renovated since I've been last. I got the calamari and I've definitely had better. It was super tough and chewy (I know calamari's tends to be, but this was unbelievably tough) but I still ended up eating it because I haven't eaten all day. The service today for lunch at Olive Garden was exceptional. I wish I would have got our server's name because she was exceptional! Always checking back to see if we needed anything such as refills, or soup, salad, or breadsticks and always clearing our table as needed. The food quality was excellent. Two of us ordered the Eggplant Parmesan, one ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and then we also had a kids meal of Fettuccini Alfredo. The plates came out just as we were finishing up our salads and everything looked amazing and fresh. The Lasagna was stale and tasted as though it had been sitting for a long time. Not fresh at all. We were extremely disappointed in our meals and service. I used to go to Olive garden a fair amount and as an adult, I rarely frequent this establishment. Sometimes different events and road trips will take me here and I I was surprised by my visit. When I was younger I didn't really enjoy it but I will say that I did enjoy the food. Our server was really friendly and had great recommendations and was timely in our requests. Our food came back hot and fresh and everything tasted well balanced. I would probably come back as well the next time somebody wants to go. I will say that the prices are still slightly overly inflated but they do give you a decent portion and it was good. read more

A Shining Light on a Difficult Day Our group of 11 came into Olive Garden this afternoon after attending a funeral. We hadn't called ahead, didn't have a reservation, and were all a bit emotionally drained. But Samantha--our one and only server--was absolutely phenomenal. She handled everything with such grace, kindness, and professionalism. Drinks and appetizers were always full, our orders were correct and repeated back with care, and the food came out quickly. She even boxed up all our leftovers and made sure we had plenty of mints. Samantha didn't just serve us a meal--she held space for us during a really tough day. We were seated after about a 15 minute wait on a Friday night - which wasn't bad at all. However, our drinks were only refilled once and that was after my daughter asked for a water so she could have a new drink. It took a little over an hour to get our food. I DO NOT not recommend this location. Waitress was extremely rude, and accused us of not ordering and item (we had ordered it 40 minutes earlier) after inquiring to its whereabouts. When asked a question about the menu and following up for clarification, she repeated the same words she has said previously in a slower and louder tone, seemingly assuming we did not speak English (we are all bilingual, English and Spanish). Blame culture is real here. Wrong food was brought out and waitress blamed the kitchen and instead of offering to fix it just walked away. From being seated to being served was 75 minutes. Not once did we receive an update on our order. Waitress continues to be short tempered and did not hesitate to appear outwardly disgruntled the entire time. Management walks around acting attentive but don't let that fool you. From my experience the current manager is not supporting their kitchen or waiting staff, and from the experience with our waiters, cares not for how their staff is acting and treating paying customers. I will not ever be returning here and seriously considering never returning to another Olive Garden in general. This experience was very upsetting. The franchise owner here seriously needs to reevaluate the current management and make some improvements. read more

We ordered 5 build your own pasta bar catering from this location. The staff was very accommodating in taking our catering order over the phone. Then made sure we had gluten free and dairy free options. The food was not ready at the pick up time, but I only waited about 15 minutes for them to get it ready. They boxed everything well and load the car for me. Once we arrived onsite to set up the meal, everything was labeled for easy identification and plates and cutlery were included. The food was good! We came for the never ending stuffed pasta and it was great!! We also came to celebrate my sisters birthday for lunch. We were seated in the bar area and Erin took great care of us. We asked her about the stuffed pasta and she was right in with her descriptions! The food was great! We had all three types of pasta and tried various toppings such as grilled chicken, meat sauce, Alfredo etc. it was a really good promotion I hope it is somEthing they will continue annually. The only issue is it would need more options as far as toppings. Italian For the Masses Near the corner of NW Blue Parkway and Chipman Road in Lee's Summit that I have always called Corporate Corner, Olive Garden is a nationwide chain of family oriented Italian style restaurants that does deliver the goods. Sharing their parking lot with a Red Lobster, it is one of those places where if one restaurant is too busy you can have a similar but different experience for about the same price. Please do not take me wrong, the experience can be very fulfilling and pleasant. We had not been there in a while (like before the COVID-19 lockdowns) and on a whim decided to try it again. Coming through the door we were met by a friendly hostess who seated us immediately and introduced us to our server. You could see that their target market was well represented with families (large and small) and young couples taking advantage of their reasonably priced menu and ample servings of above average mostly southern Italian fare. Our server was also friendly and efficient, while maintaining a very service oriented attitude. Paula was looking forward to sampling their eggplant parmigiana to see if it still was up to her standards, and I was looking to try something different but still within their strong suits. I settled on their veal. Asking for their house red wine, I was surprised with serious sweet red that worked better than I would have ever thought! Altho next time I might revert to a Chianti where I am most comfortable. The meals were served at the correct temperature and with a good presentation. The eggplant was judged very good and the veal up to my own carnivore standards. Prices were well within our expectations, as was the service. Again, the vibe was one of corporate efficiency but the food and service stood out as well above what one usually experiences from a nation wide chain. Will we return? Yes, while it is not a super authentic Italian restaurant that would be chosen for a special occasion meal, it more than satisfied our desire for above average pasta and good service - at a reasonable price. read more

Our waitress was an older gal and she was super sweet. Got our drinks and food very quick. Our first basket of breadsticks was a little hard and not super warm but honestly, that didn't stop me from eating 2. Currently, Olive Garden has some great lunch deals. I enjoy going for lunch because I can't eat a whole lot and hate to spend money on giant plates of food. I can't remember exactly what the lunch specials are, but they include soup or salad, a select dish or you can create your own pasta dish. I got the chicken and gnocchi soup and sadly, wasn't super impressed. I didn't want to eat too much either because I had cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce coming.... YUM I haven't ever gotten anything else from Olive Garden because I LOVE the raviolis. My grandma loved her lasagna and my mom enjoyed her meatball sandwich. My mother and I ate here the other day only because she had a $25 gift card. I vowed never to eat at Olivet Garden again after I got food posioning about 6 years ago from a crab dish. (my face got puffy spots everywhere...I couldn't go out in public....it was horrible) But I can't pass up free food, so I braved the place again. We shared an appitizer sampler tray with fried calamari, chicken fingers, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was delicious but I thought the calamari breading was far too soggy. We also shared the unlimited breadsticks and salad. I had no idea that you pay a flat price for the salad and bread but then they charge you an additionial 3.50 for each person at your table....had I known that, I probably wouldn't had ordered the umlimited salad and bread. The price wasn't worth it for only 2 people. Chocolate cake was our last dish. The presentation was nice. The cake was good but not phemonominal. Service was good, but not amazing. Overall the place is pretty full and it is just faster and easier to eat at the bar. I like the Tour of Italy and the salad is good just like the bread sticks and they just keep bringing them. If u get Ashley as your bartender and also serving your meal. Wow she is so prompt with the drinks and appetizers. Our drinks and plates were empty for over 20 minutes while being ignored by our waiter. I ordered the endless soup, salad, and breadsticks and only received one bowl of soup and one thing of salad. My wife ordered fettuccine alfredo and it was par at best. I spoke with the manager and the best he said he could do as an apology was do a "family discount" and really just wanted me out the door.
