So tiny, no legs We ordered our food, an hour later the"food" arrived, tripod and crusty. Wrong order was delivered for my daughter. Two tables arrived after is, table if six and table if give. They finished before it good arrived. Manager came out asked anything we can do, we can remake your order at this point we were there 2.5 house I said just bring me the check so we can get the heck out of here Asked if we wanted take out boxes for our food. Came back here a month ago with my mom's friends. Most of them walking with canes. The bathroom was just drenched in water, I don't know if there was a leak but it was definitely unsafe and a fall was just waiting to happen. Food wasn't great. Even the breadsticks weren't good. I came to Olive Garden and ordered the Chicken Alfredo with soup. The soup was warm, not hot, but the main dish was fine. Service started out pretty good, but toward the end, things lost their spark. There was a small issue with splitting the bill -- our server did fix it, but she seemed visibly frustrated, and after that, there was no thank you, no final check-in, or even a "we appreciate your visit." Just felt like we were ushered out. I also got a tiramisu to go and was disappointed by the portion. For $10, it was a small piece of cake, no whipped cream, garnish, or even a simple touch to make it feel like a full dessert experience. Not worth the price in my opinion. Also -- whatever happened to the after-dinner mints? Those used to be a nice little touch that made the visit feel complete. Now it feels like everything's been stripped down. The host was having a melt down at the front counter leading to an actual hissy fit with silent cursing that my wife and I overheard. He was mad that servers spoke to him about seating people in sections that didn't have staff or over loading them. This prompted him to say good bye to an employee leaving with the line "take me with you. I'm fucking leaving". He decided to cool off in the rest room. He then came out of the men's room to tell the other hosts that "someone took a huge shit that wasn't flushing down". There was a 5-10 minute wait that wound up taking more time. In that time, we got all of the above. Some of it, we could do without. Like the description of the super dookie. When we finally sat down. We recognized our waiter from other experiences. We acknowledged that we did. He told us if we have sat in this section, we more than likely did. Okay, thanks for that pleasant exchange. We got the appetizers relatively quick. The salad and breadsticks were fantastic as per the usual. We had about 3 minutes before our actual food was to come out (per our server) and the fire alarm went off. Our waiter requested we evacuate. Our section was the only one to leave, other patrons were seated and didn't leave. In fact, everyone just stared at us. We stood outside for roughly five minutes before being told we can come back in. The 12 or so of us that were the only ones that actually went outside finally came back to our desolate seats. Our section, the 12 fire alarm evacuatee's, was busy. So much that service took a turn. Our food finally came out but was rubbery from sitting under the heat lamps as it was probably ready. More than likely before the fire alarm. We got the meal and then lost our server. We had finished eating and waited a good amount of time. We saw our server but he was hyper focused on each table he was doing something for. I finally got up and got our To Go containers. About five minutes later a paper check was given to me. During that time, we had the pleasure of listening to a secondary manager explain to a guest that the desserts, although she has not tried them, are so delicious but so expensive because of how much that they pay for them. She encouraged the guests to get the desserts despite the price because they pay so much for them. So that's how that works? When I went to the host stand to pay. The host, Mr. Meltdown, from earlier told me I can pay at my table with my kiosk. I told Super Melt that my table didn't have one therefore I am up here. I was directed to the manager to pay. She graciously took $20 off our meals for the terrible dine in. I told her the last time we were here there was a spread of hair in the food. She just smiled and thanked us for coming back. Ouch. It's bad enough the plates are hovering over $20, the service is not catching up to it. Oliver Garden has been on a down turn. read more

About what I'd expect from an Olive Garden: friendly service and decent, plentiful food. Let's not complicate it - this isn't a local Italian restaurant with Grandma stirring the sauce in the back. But for business travel it's close to hotels, and the food is pretty good for a quick dinner. Waiter was cool and on point. Food portion was enough that I had plenty to bring home to the family. If I could rate 0 stars I would. This was the worse customer service experience I ever recieved!. After being seated, my table waited over 30 minutes before we left. NOBODY, not 1 waiter, acknowledged us. The waiter that was servicing the tables around us completely ignored us, for no reason!!! She seemed rude too, we witnessed her argue with the table across from ours. Management really needs to train their staff better. I could see why this location has 2 stars.. After my group decided to leave, because we had hungry children, Management came running to us to tell us someone was coming (when? 50 minutes later? No thank you!). Went here with my family as a party of 3 on Sunday January 5th 2025. We arrived, parked, and went to the host stand and was immediately sat. we were sat at a table in the bar, and I was happy because i was able to watch the NY Ranger game that was on tv. Our server quickly greeted us too. We started with waters, and my dad got an iced tea. we got our drinks fast and accordingly. We only had waters, and the waitress was great to refill our drinks. We then ordered food after looking over the menu. I had the chicken and shrimp carbonara with pasta fogli soup, my dad had the same thing but with salad, and my mom had a steak pasta with salad, which looked good. Loved the soup, as it was as hearty as last time. our food came out not long after. i enjoyed my chicken and shrimp carbonara and my dad did too. my mom enjoyed her food as well. However, we were quite full, and i asked for a box, as well as my mom. Actually enjoyed the leftovers too. Paid via a gift card, and paid the balance with a credit card. left a cash tip for the server, who did a good job of refilling our drinks and checking on us to make sure the food was okay. So I was coming home from work at the galleria mall and I stopped by the store to get milk and then I stopped by Olive Garden to come get some dinner for me and my daughter and my 2 son and then after we went to the pool and I had a good time and then at Olive Garden we had unlimited breadsticks and it was really good and then we had the unlimited super salad soup or salad it was pretty good my son ate seven breadsticks and he threw them up later but that was his fault. the service was pretty good the waiter came to our table and assisted us I got a margarita cause I'm tired of people. And they got the pasta and then the ambience was pretty good got some grilled chicken with pasta it was very good the pasta was nice and creamy. Our waiter was very responsive with the 1st round of drinks, apps, and salad. He brought our diners and then he disappeared. Never came back for drink refills and then we sat for 20 minutes to ask for 1 box and the check. He came around, but never came to our table. I asked a different waitress for the manager who then gave me a bs story about it being our waiters first day working. We finally got a box and the check and left. As we were leaving, I noticed that our waiter was working on the carry out orders and bringing items out to the parking lot. THAT'S why he disappeared. Because the manager had him working outside in the parking lot instead of working the tables he was assigned. I don't like liars and that's what the manager is. I also don't like bosses that overwork their employees and then blame them when things don't turn out right. I have plenty of REAL Italian restaurants in the area to choose from and I will be going to them from now on. The manager can play her little game with some one else- not me. We arrived here at around 5:45 PM upon entering and telling the hostess a table for two we were greeted with a mini meltdown of incompetence as she continued to stare at the screen and mutter to herself for a solid five minutes, before finally looking up and telling us, it would be a wait time between 10 and 15 minutes. My wife and I said that was fine but while waiting, I looked around and saw that there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant, so I'm not sure why a 15 minute wait was required. Unless of course they were understaffed in which case I would much rather be told that so I could choose to dine somewhere else instead of dealing with this. Once finally being seated, our waiter was excellent and immediately came over to take drink orders and bring us breadsticks The breadsticks might as well have been called croutons because I almost broke my tooth, biting into the first horrifically stale and cold one. Then our waiter came back multiple more times to inform us that he was still waiting on our drinks, so I got up to go check the bar and of course no Bartender anywhere to be seen. Our soup came out before our drinks did. My wife's soup was to be fair excellent. But I ordered the chicken gnocchi which had neither of each in it. Then the waiter came by and said the kitchen had just finished a new batch and would I like another bowl? So the kitchen scraped the bottom of the pot knowing that it was terrible and served it to me anyway? Our entrees were fine but again took forever to come out. Near the end of the meal I got up to use the restroom and boy the horrific eye watering reek of urine that assaulted me as I came through the door can't be described. The latrine ditches built in the desert overseas are maintained better. I had to walk across a sticky urine soaked floor just to wash my hands. My wife and I will now be making sure to tell anyone who will listen to avoid this place at all costs. read more

My wife and I were there for dinner we both decided on the with soup and salad bar it was very very good especially the pasta faggole (and I hope that was spelled correctly or near as much). The service was great and my only complaint was the price of the soda which seemed a bit much considering it was 90% ice I know they have free refills but to make the waitress have to come back-and-forth every five minutes it's a pain for everybody and the price of it was over 350 most restaurants are less than 250 . We will probably be back but I think I'll drink water. read more

Ate here on 11/20/21, and while the food was fine, i was stunned as how lousy this place is compared to a typical Olive Garden. Waited 10 min for a table despite being able to see a dozen empty tables, including one in the bar area a few yards away, but the hostess said we couldn't sit there because that table "hasn't been cleaned" (It had a beer bottle on it). 10 minutes later when we were shown to a table in the dining room, the bottle was still there and the table still empty. The bathroom was a mess. Overflowing garbage cans, paper towel dispensers out, everything wet and dirty. The dining area was filthy. There were scraps of paper and food bits all over the carpet as we approached the table. The table we were shown to was dirty - big sticky areas all over it. Someone came and wiped it with a wet rag. Sat down to find the sticky mess was still there - just now the tabletop was soaking wet as well. I had to get paper towels and wipe if off myself. Service was slow. We saw the server rarely when the chicken came out, it wasn't what I ordered. It was good food though. If you like Sangria,do NOT order it here.I made the mistake of ordering a glass, but what arrived didn't resemble sangria (which is dark red wine with fruit and sugar) at all - it was a sickly sweet Hawaiian Punch flavored drink with a couple bits of orange in it. There may have been some wine in there, but if so it wasn't red wine. This drink could be described as a "berry cooler" I guess, but calling it sangria is a disgrace. read more

Oh my god. We are disappointed with our experience the more often we come and dine here. Today we were not even offered their complimentary breadsticks throughout our whole visit. We ordered 3 steak alfredos for our lunch("dinner") entrees, 2 of them as medium rare and 1 as well done. The two medium rares were pretty much rare/uncooked inside. Blood spilled out onto each plate when we each cut into our own steaks. And both steak orders were hard to cut through because there were tendons that would not cut through being so uncooked. I regret not taking pictures of the blood and tendons. Our fettuccine Alfredo also came with stuck together pasta. I'm talking about 3-4 strands of fettuccine stuck together as one thick piece. The waitress came by and asked if everything was going okay. When she saw us having trouble cutting through it and the red plates, she never offered to ask if the steaks are too rare for our liking. read more

And for the price you're better off going too because this place is not cheap and the portion size is suck. What brings me back to Olive Gardens at lunch time is their lunch menu specials starting at $6.99 add a glass of their wine for $5.50 now you have a great business lunch. Eggplant parmigiana sandwich with fries and unlimited salad really is bargain . Better then Panera Bread pick two menu and you get waitress to take order and serve you. Can beat this combination. Horrible experience!! I hadn't been to an OG restaurant in years and was looking forward to treating my kids to the experience. We had our entrees and even coffee and desserts picked out! Is the OG in NYC supposed to be so much different from the one in Middletown? As a chain restaurant, isn't the "experience," service, and quality of food supposed to be the same? Sadly it is not. To start, I requested a booth. Customer service 101, listen to your client. Ofc, we did not get a booth. There was 1 available, but the hostess said "That's going to take a really long time to be ready." Huh? How long to throw dishes in a tub, and wipe down the table? We were starved, and I told her his, so we said fine, to the table. Waitress--I never even got her name, rude and snippy attitude. Also took forever to just come and say "Hello." I understand you're busy, but in food services and customer service, all you say is "Hi I"m so and so, thanks for waiting, I'll be right with you." Just what I call, "basics." As mentioned before in other OG restaurants, they bring us out bread-sticks without having to ask, and once we eat them, will bring out more without having to ask. I had to ask for everything. Then when I reminded the waitress that we were waiting a while, she said "Well, I just bought your drinks." Again with an attitude. Her response is all WRONG! the correct response, is "I'm sorry about that, let me get you some bread-sticks now." Other OG restaurants, you never have to ask. The assumption is, if you're in a restaurant, it' because you're HUNGRY! I have worked in food services being a hostess, my daughter worked in IHOP as a hostess and server and my son made a lot of money on tips being a waiter at Luke's Lobster. We know how to TREAT people and expect to be treated the same way, with professionalism and with courtesy. No one asked me/informed me about specials. Then when I went back to the hostess to complain, I said the waiter was not attentive and so I wanted a new waiter, they ignored my request! Then an older woman came by, (some kind of supervisor)-and asked "Did you want a seat change?" NO!! Again, listen to your client, we were already settled. We should not have had to move! But we should have had a better, friendlier server. So the apps were finally bought out! Get this--still no bread-sticks! This is a joke right? Other OG's I've been too will recommend a wine to go with your entree, and offer a sample. This server sure didn't, I had to ask her about it. She recommended nothing! It makes me sad that my children and I received subpar service. We wanted to get out of there that yes, we wanted dessert, but decided that would be another 30 minute wait, so we declined. So we ate the apps and waited and waited, with no check-ins, no updates on our food, no drinks being refreshed. Finally, she brings out our lukewarm entrees. I CANNOT MAKE THIS UP--the sticker on the tomato was not properly removed and so my piece of tomato has a small piece of sticker on it. At this point, I did not want them to spit in my food, so I did not complain. My daughter ate her chicken parm, but said her spaghetti had no seasoning and was dry. She didn't eat it! A tall, slim white woman was walking around, checking in with the patrons and asking how everything was--so I'm sure she was the manager. But she never even bothered to come my way. She looked over at us, and carried on. The server also saw me attempting to download the app, and it was giving me problems. I was waiting for them to email me the coupon for a free app. I never rec'd the coupon, and her response was "Sorry," but no offer to assist! (Guess what it came 2 days later) The service here for lack of a better word was disgusting. I'm disgusted with how my family was treated. Sad thing is I was a LOYAL OG fan for years. In NYC, and also where I live, near Hyattsville, MD by the mall. So I'm not sure why there is no CONSISTENCY in SERVICE. I'm not sure if I will return, but one thing's for certain, I will never return to the one in Middletown, NY and I'm just mad at myself for not reading reviews, before I came here. Management do better--and a regional or district manger needs to come in to make sure OG is meeting expectations, bc based on the 2 stars--Middletown clearly isn't. Everyone needs to be better trained! I will follow up with an email to them. *Edit--If you read all the 2019 reviews, they are pretty horrible and I'm noticing similar themes, bland tasting food, or cold food. Horrible!! I've been to other "Olive Gardens" and had a positive experience. I am pretty easy to please but, this place needs a renovation. The food was not great or fresh after waiting a long time with 3 teens. The place did not look so clean either. It actually smelled bad. I would have left but, the kids were hungry and wanted to eat at "Olive Garden". Our order was all screwed up after waiting 20 minutes just to get our drinks. I would not return here again. I got the chicken parmesan breadstick sandwich. Which also came with unlimited breadstick and a soup or salad. The bread sticks had a strange flavor to them and tasted nothing like the ones I had at a different location. The sandwich also was not that good. The sauce tasted strange and so did the bread sticks once again. The service was fine and so was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The food was just not to par. I and my family went there to celebrate Easter with my aunt since we live an hour from her. we got there just after they opened at 11am. the girl who sat us was very nice but the waiter wasn't to friendly . acted like he didn't want us there . we waited over an hour for our food since the macoroni and cheese that my brother ordered was still frozen and they couldn't get it unfrozen. luckily I ordered an extra appetizer so that was his meal. my food on the other hand was cold , the pasta part of the stuffed ziti was so hard that I could not chew it . the bread sticks both batches that were brought to the table was hard as well. almost like the food was from the day before . usually when we go there the food is very good and every one is super friendly . the whole situation was uncomfortable and uncalled for of a business of their statue . it will definitely be a while if at all that I will be eating at their establishment again. read more
