First one trying this place out and we came on Mother's Day. It was very busy with long line but it went fast coz the crew were magnificent and super friendly. The place is located near Kahala Mall, but very busy street. Though there's ample of parking, the amount of people coming makes parking a task. But the food makes up for that issues. It is authentic and reasonable price. The space is cute; you can dine inside or enjoy the patio. Nice breeze!!!

Olive Tree Cafe is amazing! This counter-service restaurant offers delicious, high-quality, and affordable food! I was extremely impressed! The appetizers we ordered were all $7.99 or less, and the mussel ceviche stood out the most. It came with six pieces and was absolutely delicious. Oh, and don't get me started on the feta! Definitely order extra slices--at least one per person. You won't regret it. For my entrée, I had the organic chicken souvlaki, which was moist and juicy. You can order it as a pita or a salad, and if you choose the pita, it comes with a side salad. We finished with the baklava, which was perfectly flaky and nutty with just the right amount of sweetness. Did I mention it's BYOB? Bring your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy a glass while you wait for your food, it makes the experience even better! Olive Tree Cafe is a great spot for a girls' night out, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and even a parking lot. The service is friendly and welcoming. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with friends to share another meal here!

Love this place! The soup is my favorite item, but overall everything I've tried tastes great and is well priced. The staff is very friendly, and while the place is small they almost always have a crowd. I usually order takeout so no never an issue with finding seating.

I love Greek food, but this place just didn't do it for me. The plates feel incomplete for the price. Additionally, while there are some tables inside and plenty tables outside to sit down, it is takeout service only. Everything is served in takeout containers, which took away from the experience for me. I also felt like each pita sandwich that we got did not have enough filling... Our chicken one had a tiny piece of chicken in it (about the size of 1/4th a chicken breast) and that's it. For the price, I expected these to have more filling.

Really good tasting Greek food. There is usually a line after 6:00 and Yes, there is a constant struggle for that elusive parking spot if you want to park inside their tiny lot. Post Covid - Take Out & Cash only! No more Dining inside or on the outside patio. Bummer! Good news is the food is still made fresh & still has that authentic Greek taste! Sad news of the Owner passing away on the door with a temporary closing over next weekend, but business and its focus on quality continues to thrive. I will try calling ahead next visit to hopefully decrease the wait as each order is prepared fresh! Five Fabulous Stars and a prayer with condolences to the family and friends of the Family Owner Savas Mojarrad.

Mara is located on the first floor of the Renaissance Hotel. Turn right as you enter through the glass doors. We were seated promptly and given our menus. The carafe of water on the table was a nice touch with the matching glasses that created a blue hue with the water in it. It set the ambiance of the Mediterranean Sea. My friend ordered the MAMMA MIA Cocktail composed of Meili Vodka, Strawberry, Basil, Honey, Greek Yogurt and she enjoyed it. Next, my friend ordered the WHIPPED BURRATA Roasted Beets, Walnuts, Pomegranate Molasses. The beets were flavorful as we paired it with the savory cheese and pita bread that accompanied it. This dish was delicately sweet and the walnuts created an even balance to the velvety beets. My friend ordered the PHYLLO-CRUSTED SNAPPER SANDWICH Caper Aioli, Athenian Slaw, Citronette. She enjoyed the crunchiness of the batter and the juiciness of the fish. The accompaniments also made her dish shine. I ordered the Grilled Kebabs Chicken plate with rice. This came with ZA'ATAR FLATBREAD Tzatziki, Cucumber & Tomato Shirazi. The 2 skewers of chicken breast had the charred flavor that paired well with the flatbread, rice, and Tzaziki. The cucumber and tomato added a cool crunch. Lastly, we wanted to try the dessert. We ordered the GREEK YOGURT SOFT SERVE fully loaded. The toppings included: Baklava Crumble, Sour Cherry, Olive Oil & Sea Salt, and Honey. The soft serve was creamy and tangy and perfectly balanced. The toppings such as the Baklava crumble had a buttery crunch. The Sour Cherry had a bold tart punch that blended with the creaminess of the soft serve. The drizzle of the Olive Oil and Sea Salt tingled my tastebuds. Finally, the honey tied everything together with its golden sweetness that lingered on my palate. This dessert was fabulous, rich and decadent, a standout in my opinion. This was my favorite part of the meal. Also, our server Phoebe G. made our experience at Mara so enjoyable. She would always check up on us and make sure we were taken care of. We will indeed return to Mara to experience excellent customer service and delightful Mediterranean flavors.

My husband ordered the Grilled Day Boat Scallops and I ordered the Greek Salad with a side of Brussels Sprouts for our entrees. The Bocconcino Whipped Burrata was a recommendation from our waitress and this was my favorite dish! So thankful she recommended it. I have never had anything like it before. The dip is made from roasted beets, walnuts, and pomegranate molasses. Because it was whipped, the texture was so light. It was perfect. The Greek Salad and Brussels Sprouts were only ok. I did not expect there to be as many tomatoes as there were and I wasn't really a fan of it for the price. My husband enjoyed the scallops and he recommends giving it a try. TLDR: definitely get the Bocconcino Whipped Burrata!

I want this place to stick around! That being said I did not really like my meal. I want to believe it's on me for choosing the wrong combo but I had a couple of issues. First, at least when I went, the rice was sitting out in a separate dish and was room temperature. I would like the rice to at least be warm, even better if it had some fragrant flavor like saffron rice should but I didn't taste it. Second, I got the falafel, which is something best served fresh or it gets dried out, unfortunately it was very dry even when dipping in the tzatziki so I did not finish it. The harissa sauce mixed with tzatziki was really good so I'm hopeful that a fresh and hot falafel with warm rice would have been much better than what I had today. Willing to try again. The staff was young but sweet and helpful, no complaints there.

You order and pay at the counter and they will bring you the food; the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and very efficient. We order baba ganoush with pita, super gyro with zucchini fries, and a soup and salad combo. The baba ganoush was so delicious, and the pita was warm and soft. The super gyro has so much yummy meat in it that the pita can hardly hold them, and the zucchini fries were crispy and not oily. It also comes with a couple really good tzatziki sauces. My wife really enjoyed the avgolemono (lemon and chicken) soup and greek salad. She was so pleased with the combo that she had to order an extra takeout combo for her friend to try. On top of all that, we finished our great meal with a baklava sundae; two fresh crispy baklava pastries with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with cinnamon and honey. This desert is a must order. The restaurant is mixed in with a lot of other restaurants and shops in a large strip mall, so it maybe easy to miss. I've been to House Without a Key several times and am a big fan. This was my first time to Orchids, which is one of the two the fancier dinner options at the hotel (the other is La Mer). The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and provides beautiful ocean views. It is also well-positioned to see and hear the live music across the garden at House Without a Key at dinner time. The menu leans Italian and is really well done. The mushroom risotto, veal ossobuco, and coconut cake were all divine. The hamachi crudo and short rib ravioli were also good, but I'd skip the beef tartar. The prices are eye watering, but that's to be expected with the location, view, and atmosphere. At these prices, I expected mind-blowing food, but I can only call it really good. It just didn't reach top tier in my book. Unfortunately, the service is totally lackluster and keeps Orchids from bagging a perfect score. Our servers were not friendly, and did not seem even slightly interested in taking our food or drink orders, refilling our drinks, or checking on us during dinner. Moreover, they forgot to bring out a few dishes, which really threw off the dining cadence of our business dinner. Staff and training issues aside, I would absolutely come here again.
