The high prices overwhelm any positive Food experience. $8 kids meals, nine dollar entrées that don't include side items and a generally overpriced menu create an unsavory experience from the get go. Honestly food was fine. Taste was good, service was great. No issues with anything with the restaurant itself. But when you have a $40 bill for two sandwiches, one side of fries and a kids meal AT LUNCH it's hard to judge anything with an equal slate. One of our new favorites in the area. Great food, great service, good prices. We stopped in for a quick dinner. My husband ordered the combo and raved about the flavorful lamb and pork. He ate every bit. We ordered a kids' lasagna for the toddler. It was big enough for an adult; very well seasoned and covered in bubbly cheese. All in all, it was an okay experience. I'm in no rush to go back. My husband ordered a gyro platter and said it looked as great as it tasted (and it looked pretty darned good to me). I had a pizza. I was slightly underwhelmed. It was a perfectly okay pizza... but if you have "Pizza" in your name, I do expect a bit more. It's not a place I would go to when I'm craving pizza, but if someone wanted a gyro, I'd probably try the pizza again. I did have two problems with the place though: 1: I asked for a small side of ranch and was charged $1 for a tiny container of it. I won't make that mistake again. At most, it's a 50 cent cup.... not a dollar. 2: The additional 50 cent charge on the bill for 'CC DINE IN". I asked what it was, and was told if you use a card, they charge you 50 cent. We opted to pay in cash. I understand that some places do this to offset the cost of processing credit cards.... but on a $30+ meal for 2, I do feel it's a bit absurd. Perhaps I'm out of touch. Bad pizza. Hardly any of the nonfresh toppings were on the pie. People were nice. Crust was interesting. Very poor service when it comes to getting a drink with your meal. The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because it is overpriced. Full disclosure I eat here for lunch 3 times a week. I guess i tolerate the price. I love the food. The Chicken tortellini is awesome. The olive tree steak sandwich is awesome. The butternut squash raviolli is awesome. Even a simple chicken sandwich is awesome. They also have one of the best waitresses I've ever had. Jennifer is friendly, attentive, sweet and prompt. Don't let the bad reviews turn you away. Usually those are cry baby want to be food critics. Also the prices are right on the menu so crying about a $58 Bill seems silly. Have been here a few times and love their chicken salad....the dressing that is homemade supposedly is amazing.The food is good but not the best. Management is HORRIBLE. Ordered a sub and did not get until after my family had finished eating and were paying at the front register. The manager had bagged the sub and after i told her i did not want it she proceeded to make the waitress pay for it when it was the kitchens fault it had been dropped and had to be remade. I'm so glad this restaurant finally took over the revolving door of restaurants at this location. The food is so fresh and tasty. I've tried their pizza, pasta and the chicken gyr. I think my favorite, although it's a fairly "basic" meal is the chicken gyro...it's awesome. Their homemade tzatziki sauce is the best I've had. My husband loves the original gyro...both so fresh. Their pastas are awesome as well with very generous portions. The baklava is really really good with honey drizzled on top. This is one of my favorite new restaurants in the area. We usually have Tota as our waitress and she's the best...she has great stories and is more than willing to help you make a decision from the menu. Great place! read more

I ordered mushrooms on half and I only called to comment about the mistake, as they put them over the whole pizza. I wasn't looking for a free handout. I got a glass of wine (either $6 or $7) and we got 2 appetizers of garlic bread for $4 and then another app that wasn't on the menu but was cheese balls and we got maybe 6 of them. Husband drank water. That all comes to $26 so my meal of penne pasta and the cheese balls was $28???????? Bc with tax we paid $58 (without tax $54) The only guesses we can make would be $15 for buttered noodles, burnt garlic bread (luckily the waitress helped me get new ones), and maybe 6 leaves of iceberg lettuce?? Then $13.70 for the cheese balls?? All in all we will definitely not be returning. Had dinner here tonight for the first time. Very happy with our choice. I ordered the Garlic Toast with meat sauce as an app. Could have used more garlic but other than that it was good. For my entree, ​I had the Chicken Souvlaki. This was really good. Maybe one of the best I've​ had. The chicken​ was seasoned perfectly and very tender. The potatoes were on point! Sunday in the south surprise, a small, local restaurant open until 9:00 pm! We stopped in for a late dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Offering Italian and Greek dishes, we opted for a Hawaiian pizza (these come in two sizes, 10" is the small one), and a side of vegetables. The vegetables had a tasty seasoning and were cooked perfectly. The pizza had a medium thick crust and generous toppings with a nice tomato sauce. The balance of the toppings and sauce was exactly right, and the crust held up without being soggy. These people know how to make a pie. For the later hour on a Sunday, the place was fairly full and the dessert case featured a tiramisu (high praise from the next table), and other tempting options but we passed this time. Friendly service in a neighborhood stop. We saw Bitesquad coming in to pick up an order, so they're on the map. Will definitely be back. read more

I traveled here from Travelers Rest, SC to have dinner with many family members. We had a few children in our group with special nutritional needs so we asked if we could bring in food only for them. The host went and asked the manager and she came back and told us we could not bring any outside food in and told us to leave. We had 4 paying adults and 3 children (2 are under 2 years of age) and one is around 3 years old.Anyhow we were refused business. I would not recommend this to anyone with small children. They do not allow you to bring any food in from outside to fit their specific needs. The thing is we would have tipped well. Plus we would have ordered plenty to make it worth their while. I am wholeheartedly disappointed in this business. Children under 2 don't eat enough for them to make a big deal about us not ordering food specific to their restaurant. We used to live behind Olive Tree and actually visited on the day they opened. We ate there at least once a week and the food was always pretty good. However, over the years, the quality of the food and the service has declined. They are ALWAYS hiring.... Their dressing used to be awesome... a little less tart than Olive Garden. Now, it's just watery! And the pepperocini peppers they put on their salads taste like dishwashing soap! I swear it! I love the House Pizza and the Chicken Soulvaki... they've never let me down but everything else about my last few visits has left a bitter taste in my mouth. The last time I went with my parents, we were THE ONLY people in the place... yet it took FOREVER to get our food... a lot longer than it takes a pizza to bake. We ordered takeout once and I requested mozzarella on my salad instead of feta... they told us 15 minutes. About 25 minutes later, and 2 salads still weren't ready... and there wasn't a SOUL in the restaurant. Pretty average place, for what we tried. I had a meatball sub which had nice full sized meatballs, sauce and cheese. It was good; no complaints, just nothing special. Hubs had sausage sub that was okay. It was slices of sausage cooked with onions and peppers in a meat sauce, so he felt there wasn't enough sausage and the onions and peppers cooked down so much they were like part of the sauce. When I lived in Mauldin several years ago, this was one of my favorite places to eat. Last night, when the waitress asked if I wanted fries (with my roast beef hot oven sub), I assumed it came with them and she was making sure I wasn't subbing them for something else. They didn't. Basically, I paid $8 for the (small) sub and $3 for almost a handful of fries. $11 for a sub and fries- and that doesn't include a decent tip. Absolutely not worth it. I have eaten here a lot of times prior to this experience. This was my first time since March and since the craziness of COVID. A few things to set this up. I love supporting small business, thats why I patronize local restaurants. I also understand these businesses need to make money, and that there is a right and wrong way to treat customers. So to the review. My colleague and I went to lunch here today since we haven't been out to lunch in quite some time. We quickly found our seat and the waitress came over immediately to get our drink order. I went to wash my hands and when I came back she came over again to take our order. I really wasn't ready but quickly picked out the chicken Philly sub, my colleague choose the gyro sandwich with feta and fries; he got iced tea and I got water. The waitress asked me what side I wanted. I didn't even know where they were on the menu and had to ask her. She pointed them out to me and I selected the roasted veggies. We get our meal and the food was good as usual. We finished with nothing significant to take note of until I take the bill to the counter to pay. The bill was $32.12 for two sandwiches and an Iced tea!! LOL I then looked and saw that I was charged $4.45 for the veggie plate with maybe 15 small vegetables slices on it. They also charged us $2.75 for a side of fries and $1.65 for the Feta add on to his sandwich. The way the waitress asked for our orders we believed the sides were included, same for the feta cheese. NEVER ONCE did she mention that they were extra. Quite the opposite, she plainly asked each of us what side we wanted. Now I admit we quickly ordered and did not notice this on the menu. Yes our fault, but the waitress mislead us expertly. I asked to speak to the manager. The girl behind the counter got the owner who came out and was a total jerk. He pretty much told me too bad and I should have read the menu. I explained how the waitress asked us for our order and sides, he said too bad and I should have read the menu. Fair one I guess, but two things here. I was not looking for a free meal, and was polite as could be explaining the situation. He was abrupt and had a nasty tone the entire conversation. A true businessman apologizes for the misunderstanding and offers to take off the charge for the veggies. This would have cost him about 30 cents and earned him a bunch of points for the next time I happily came in to eat. Yes this is only about $10 that I'm contesting, but its the practice of taking the whole order that is the problem. Part of me believes this was a new standard operating procedure for this place to increase the average check total as this never happened previously. Now I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! My colleague also said he will never return. I regularly recommend this place to people who come to my place of work from out of town. No more! I will find another go to for lunch. read more

I would give 0 stars if that was an option ... went in for lunch with the intention of using a coupon for $10 off (only reason we went here), we ordered, ate our salads (inside the establishment which means we DINED IN) but had to ask them to make the food to go bc it took so long that we had to go back to work (on an hour lunch break, work 5 miles from restaurant), we were then told we could not use the coupon bc it was for dine in only ... SERIOUSLY?? Very disappointed. Took forever to get our tea. Our $7.95 large greek salad was a handful of lettuce spread out on a large plate. The $12.95 baked spaghetti was flavorless and the meat sauce was cooked down to a gruel. No texture at all. Tea was great but it is $2.50 a glass and we had to ask for refills twice. The girl that is usually at the first desk taking orders was off..so there was another greek girl with bad english and a weird attutide taking orders. A few years ago, my husband and I stopped here for dinner. We fell in love with it. It was small, out of the way, nice. We never went out often; but when we did, that was where we headed. So when our kids decided to give us an anniversary present, they chose two $30 gift certificates. The certificates are in front of me, both dated May 9, 2009. Here's the catch. The certificates have an expiration date of 8/9/2009 listen underneath the issue date. They expire in three months! That was enough time for my husband to be diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. He died September 18, 2009. Since I was not emotionally able to look at those certificates without crying, it was not until a week or so ago that I decided to use them. Last night I called, asking to speak with the manager to see if he would extend the expiration date. No, I could not speak to him. He was busy. Call back later. Later, they were still busy. Call back at 9:00 PM. A few minutes ago, I called again. He's busy. Call back later. I told them forget it, go online and read about it on Yelp. I sure hope this manager can sleep at night. I thought gift certificates were a contractual thing. Pay the money, get the food, right? Not this guy! He considers my kids' payment as his charitable donation to his establishment, for which he does absolutely NOTHING -- and then refuses to talk on the phone. My father-in-law recommended this restaurant based upon their chicken wings. The first time was awesome, the food and the service. The second visit, less impressive as my husband ordered ravioli (expense and not made in house) as I had the veal parmesan (expensive and overall disappointing). We also ordered a salad with gyro meat. The house dressing was tasteless and the gyro was dry and flavorless. One more try and that was the last. My husband went back with the wings and I ordered a calzone. The order took over 20 minutes to prepare, only to be told by the server that she mistakenly put in 6 wings instead of 12. The wings were decent, but my calzone was stuffed with tasteless meat and hardly any cheese. The only cheese present was in the middle where it was cut. The server never came to check on us, at one point my husband had to walk towards the counter to get some service. We were overcharged and when I pointed it out to the cashier, she told me there was nothing she could do as she wasn't the manager. The manager then walked over and she told him of the situation, he told me he could give me a dollar back. He was never once concerned about our experience and didn't ask.
