This place surprised me to be honest. After asking the gal at the counter what she recommended (which she informed me didn't eat seafood), I was taken a little by surprise. We went in on a Sunday afternoon to get an early dinner. We were not disappointed! Party of 4 and we all thought the food quality was very good, well cooked and seasoned! Overpriced. $19.99 for a 3 piece halibut fish and chips and $6.99 for a bowl of chowder. I called in an order to pick up, and was told that they had to take payment over the phone, which would have been fine. I asked how much the total was, and it was $30.44. I was a bit sticker shocked, but paid and included a $4 tip. After thinking about, I called and questioned how much everything was. I was even more shocked that it cost that much for fish and chips, when the menu I looked at said it was $13.99 (I later realized it was from 4 years ago, but even the one from a year ago was $16.99), but still $20 is a bit much. I could get more for less at a restaurant instead of a fast food. I was also informed, that paying by credit card, there's additional fees! I wasn't given the option to pay any other way, just told that they had to take payment over the phone. I said if I had known, I would have paid with cash. She offered to refund me, but at this point, I would be paying double until it refunded back into my account, which could take days, so I declined as it was already done. I still accepted the price without canceling my order, despite the person I talked with both times, was a bit rude/short, just not real friendly, even when I picked up. When I got home, the fish and chips weren't to bad actually, but to me, not $20 worth. The chowder.....well, I think plaster is thinner and probably better tasting. As a small business owner myself, I always try to patron fellow small businesses, especially during these particularly hard times. Unfortunately, this business will not get further business from me. Pieces used to be much thicker, it is clear they are trying to squeeze more profit out at the customers expense. I'm out! Never be back. This place is phenomenal. Absolutely the best fish and chips I've ever had. I have had the extreme pleasure of dining here twice in the last week. My first meal was the Alaskan Cod basket. The fish was breaded and cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside, moist in the middle. My second meal was the fish tacos. Once again, absolutely nailed the fish. And the pineapple slaw was fan-tab-ulous!!!! I also enjoyed a cup of clam chowder with both meals and it is smashing. Also to mention, their tartar sauce is the best I've ever had. We have been here for 2 years and I have wanted to visit them since. We finally took a chance at visited and placed an order for halibut, prawns, and popcorn shrimp all came with fries and homemade tarter sauce. I can share that it was good!! A few years ago I came here because I kept hearing they did a great job, my first visit was disappointing. I waited about a year until I went back and have not been disappointed. I'm typically a to go person, and the food is still hot when I get home. The fish is breaded nicely, and they sub the pineapple coleslaw for fries - I recommend it. They oysters are always fried just enough that they are still juicy inside, never had any over cooked. Like I said I am typically at to go person, and so far we have been impressed. But a few weeks ago my wife and I actually went to eat there. WOW - even better. They were fast, the food was super hot, and everything fried was light and crispy. Even with a steady flow of both in house and called in orders. They are friendly and helpful. They have never over cooked the fish - that seems like a small thing but I am surprised at how often that happens at places that specialize in fish and chips. Saw this on the Yelp app, so decided to give them a try tonight, they have a very nice food selection, I went with the 2 piece Alaskan Cod and french fries, the fries were delicious, probably one of the best fries I've had in the past couple months- makes up for the fries from Chak Salk Bistro! The Cod was pretty good, and really liked their tarter sauce they have. Wife went with their Fish Tacos and really liked them. Their drink selection SUCKS though, wasn't impressed with it, very small selection of Coke products, and since I dont like Coke, and they didnt even had shakes here (which I thought was odd) I went with a Root Beer, best thing they had to offer, so for that reason I could only give them 3 stars, if they had a better drink selection I would have given them 4 stars. read more

Cannot say enough how great tasting Oliver's Fish & Chips are! We love it so much that we drive one hour round trip. We've done this for multiple years now because it's SO worth it! We order their delicious deep fried Halibut with a Caesar salad (cutting carbs,) instead of fries. This fish has always been delicious and moist. The crispy crunchy batter fry on this fish is just awesome. The salad is fresh everytime and the Caesar dressing is yummy too. Thank you to the staff who is always friendly and quick! read more

Having my sister in town visiting from Texas we thought we'd enjoy some Fish and Chips at Olivers. The Cod and chips was good although it's gotten very expensive. The ambiance of the dining area has digressed to less than comfortable with metal chairs, salt and pepper in little packets. Then as we are trying to enjoy our very expensive dinner while catching up on family from Texas the cashier starts vacuuming carpets right behind us, and then continues after my wife made it clear it was very noisy and impeding on our dining conversation. Then as she grabbed yet another carpet runner, I explained clearly that it was much too noisy and ruining our dining experience to which she said she had to do it as she needed to be out of there in 20 minutes as they were closing in 10 minutes. She did not care one bit that our dinner had been interrupted, I would not recommend taking guests or expecting any type of customer service. read more

We just moved to the Graham area, saw this place and I'm a big fan of Clam Chowder so I had to try them! It was delicious!!!! I felt like a chowder again today and it was excellent once again! My boyfriend got the Alaskan Cod basket and he gave them rave reviews too! I do wanna mention that everything is made to order. Oh and the chowder is fresh and not like those other places that gets them frozen and throw it in a pot to warm it up. Chris kept bugging me to give this review so here I am. Just wanted to give a shout out to Oliver's Fish and Chips. We ordered the Fish & Chips this afternoon, and YUM! The pieces were large, the fish was nice, juicy and flaky. And the batter was delicious and crispy! The fries were also very good, and I'm not much of a fry person. But the tartar sauce - YUM!!! Very good. We ordered thru a delivery service, but it was only 30 minutes and was piping hot when we got it. Highly recommend. We will definitely be ordering from then again. read more

Used to be best fish around. Today, was not the case. Something changed in the breading and all I tasted was garlic. So strong it destroyed the flavor of the fish. Fries were not crisp, but floppy with way too much salt. Even after leaving, the garlic remained a solid taste. Hope they get this corrected. The prices, presentation of the seafood feast, and the taste of the food gets a high fine!!! The cod was crispy and delish, the shrimp was yummy, and the scallops hit the Mark! I read an article in the paper about this place, so I had to try it. I was not disappointed. I got the cod and chips and it was really good. I like the batter because it is not dark or super greasy. I like batters that taste light and fresh, and this is just that! My son had the kid's fish and chips and liked that as well. The man working the counter was nice, and the restaurant seemed really clean. I think their dog logo is adorable and it made the place seem friendly. I will be back! read more

In Graham, there is not a plethora of dining options of a high standard so a 3 star rating here may be akin to a 2 star in Tacoma or a 1 star in Seattle. I take a lunch break from work every Friday afternoon and try and find a new place to dine whenever possible. I stopped by Oliver's and found the interior to be clean, if not a bit spartan. There were a few other guests dining (3 or 4 perhaps), and someone standing at the counter waiting for whoever popped in next. (Surprise, its me!). The lady was friendly and offered help as I approached with a smile. I didn't ask what was best (but perhaps should have). Instead I ordered some cod fish and chips which seemed reasonably priced. After a short wait, the food was ready and I settled into eat. Overall, I was pretty disappointed by the food (if that was all I was rating on, I probably would give it a 2 star for the Graham area). The fish pieces were small, and had been deep friend to the point that the outer breading was hard and the interior was soggy with grease. The sweet tartar sauce didn't add much to the plate and the overall portions of the fries were a bit on the stingy side. I probably won't be back again unless someone else insists on going. It looks like chowder may be a safer bet, but if you're going to put Fish & Chips in your name, you probably should make great fish and chips. The place is on par with Amicis, but below Flying Tomato, Mekong Thai, and a couple of other restaurants close by for food in my book. read more
