This was my first time going for brunch and I was blown away! Beginning with the COCCOLI FRITTO which had prosciutto, stracchino, fig jam, truffle honey. Literally all my favorite things. This fig jam has to be made in house it was so fresh as well as the truffle honey. I will come back time and time again just for that. My main entree was a waffle which was decently sized. Toppings included strawberries, white chocolate ricotta cream, toasted almonds, honey maple syrup. Another 10/10 this was delicious! The white chocolate ricotta was new for me and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great she explained the menu very well and as always the ambiance was very nice. My only note that I've come to realize is that no matter if your large party has a reservation you will still have to wait for your table to be ready. The lobby or waiting area is also very small so if you have a large party be prepared to wait a second. read more

My 2nd visit to Olivia! It's been a few years. I was with two friends. One from Tampa, one from Charleston and me, from Tallahassee. I'm familiar with Chef Ponte's various restaurants in the Bay Area. For years our favorite special occasion restaurant was Cafe Ponte on Ulmerton. I was anxious to get back to Olivia as we were celebrating Fred's birthday. We were seated by very welcoming hostesses after a short wait. The restaurant was humming. The ambiance is light and airy and tastefully decorated. We'd previously ordered some drinks from the bar server which arrived quickly along with water for all three. Our server, a young, gregarious man promptly came to our table. Warmly welcomed us and told us about the specials. We ordered a Wagu Carpaccio appetizer and a yellow tail appetizer. Both were amazing in taste and presentation. We are a bit goofy on occasion, so we started telling Justin "stupid dad jokes". For entrees we selected a rigatoni with a rich red sauce, a Halibut entree and the house chicken schnitzel with a hot gooey cheesy sauce poured over it table side. The schnitzel was huge. Justin returned to the table often. Each time, we exchanged more dad jokes. We were laughing the entire evening. A lady manager came by our table too. She had a Dad joke for us too! We were stuffed, but ordered Justin's suggestions - apple crunch cake with crunch, and vanilla bean ice cream. The other was a lemon olive oil cake that was also scrumptious. Wish Olivia was in my neighborhood. I'd describe it as suburban chic. Not quite as fashionable as Predalina but trendy nonetheless. It's a raucous crowd and as such can be loud. All of our experiences at Olivia have been exceptional. On our most recent visit, we started with caramel coffee and four cheese arancini. These were the best arancini--light and crisp on the outside, super cheesy in the outside, with a cheesy fondue and scallions on the plate. For the main course, I ordered the scallops with peppers and lemon risotto. The flavorful scallops were cooked perfectly. My husband had the short rib agnolotti and those were flavorful as well. We ended the meal perfectly with waffle bomboloni and apple torta. The waffle tasted like doughnut dough put into a waffle maker--yum! They were not too sweet and went really well with the chocolate dip. I thought the caramel sauce was a little too sweet. This spot exceeded my expectations. Met a friend here for dinner on a Friday night around 8pm. We weren't able to get a reservation around that time so we ended up grabbing seats at the bar. The bartenders were great especially with how busy the restaurant was. I love that they have a "Zero Proof" section on the drink menu. I tried the Cucumber Fresca which was good. The menu had so many options I wanted to try. I ended up going with the Arancini to start and the Mini Rigatoni for my meal. Both items were good portions and I finished all of it. The Rigatoni was so yummy. For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake. I definitely recommend a reservation if you have a bigger group. Absolutely outstanding! OLIVIA is hands-down one of the best Italian restaurants in Tampa. The restaurant is architecturally well done with an open dining room, however there is so much noise, that it is painful. The hostess staff behave like they are landing aircraft rather than greeting clients. I doubt they saw my face upon check in, as they were occupied with looking at their screens and playing with their hair. The reservation was a suggestion, as we waited 10 min past the scheduled table time. And we waited in the entrance, which was not not equipped to have people waiting. There was neither seating or space to stand. Our waiter, once seated, was wonderful. He offered suggestions and was quite pleasant. The food was flavored well, but the temperatures were off. Barely warm meatballs with lukewarm sauce/polenta. Cold Burrata on toast, with roasted tomatoes that were room temperature. The arancini were too heavy for our tastes, but there was nothing wrong with them. The tables are so close together, that the waitress for the next table decided to take their order from between tables. Her body and ponytail were in our space. And just like the hostesses, she didn't know we were there. We were a party of 2, and still, they add 15% to all checks to distribute to the staff. The waiter informed us of this and let us know we could leave additional money. The place was packed and I think I'm in the minority with my opinion about it being pretentious and uncomfortably loud and congested. While we waited for our reserved table, they must have turned away 10 parties. So, clearly, it's a hot spot. read more

Came to try the viral chicken parm while on vacation and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent! Cocktails were fun. Started with the arancini which were delicious. From the time we sat down, Gianna, our waitress was amazing! Her recommendations were on point. We got the goat cheese with crostini's as an appetizer. For dinner, my sister ordered scallops with risotto, as well as a Caesar salad, which was an extremely unique presentation and both were fantastic! I had the short rib pasta - Agnolotti- and added fillet tips for her recommendation with extra sauce. It was delicious. I also got the brussels sprouts which were amazing. I had the best drink I've ever tasted, Isabella's passion. I normally don't drink gin, but this was wonderful and I had 2. The service was fantastic. The only downfall would be waiting for the table. They don't have a large area to wait so many people standing in a small area staring at other people eating was a tad bit uncomfortable. The bus boys cleaning the table just dropped the food on the floor. There was no sweeping it up. That seems like something that should be worked on. The atmosphere is beautiful and they have a lot of options but I've been here twice and both experiences were very different. Both times I went to celebrate a friend's anniversary. They don't do much except give a congratulations card. Meh. The first time I cam the garlic bread was delicious and the Isabella drink was too. The second time the bread was super oily and the Isabella drink wasn't very tasty. It's concerning when the food is different, not sure if there was a change in the chef or recipe. Worse thing is parking is a pain, coming in and out. You're almost forced to do valet. Not sure if I would come a third time. read more

Even had someone going around to make sure if I wanted to be sat at a table, I was able to do so. It wasn't needed as I had a reservation. The old fashion was so good that i had too. I'm picky about how people make them as sometimes it's so sweet, but not here! Additionally, the food was great! Had the wagyu appetizer, yellowfish, and a special food with lobster in it that all melted in your mouth. For the main entree I got the lemon fettichinni. It was so good. Olivia is a modern Italian eatery with a bustling vibe to it. The atmosphere is very much alive and it is loud. I enjoy going here and have been here 8 to 10 times since they've opened . I just realized I had never written a review. There is so much to like. I always like to begin with the Crudo and the strawberry salad and many times have made that my meal. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They know what they're doing! Food is always amazing, we've been going here for a long time now and recently went for our anniversary. The staff made it special and we really enjoyed that they put a little extra effort into our big day. We love the crudo (we usually get two orders of it). This time they had a Caesar salad special which they usually do not have (but they need to have it all the time because I'm still dreaming about it). I visited Olivia to celebrate my dad's birthday and really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We tried the red sangria and the Apulia cocktail, both were very good. As an appetizer, I had the burrata, which was tasty and the pesto was amazing.I asked for garlic bread with it, and it was delicious. For the main dishes, we had the tortiglioni alla vodka, the funghi pizza, and the lasagna all were delicious, especially the lasagna wow! Me and my family ate here as a party of 7 on Father's Day. Our server Isabella was AMAZING, super nice and attentive!! She was truly the reason I'm writing this, she is one of the nicest servers I've had in a while which is refreshing. We had the meatballs and caesar salad and the meatballs were very good, the caesar salad was good I wish there was more dressing. For my entree I had the table side chicken parm and it was good as well. Now for dessert I had the tiramisu and it was so good!! I'm a sweets person and I loved it as well as everyone in my party. When I moved to Tampa a few months ago, I asked for dinner recommendations. I heard Olivia at least 10 times from multiple people. I came in with my neighbor this past Saturday. The restaurant was lovely, and the ambiance was nice. However, no self-parking was available when I arrived, so I had to valet. The valet was free, but I recommend bringing cash to tip the valet staff. On Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is until 3 PM. During this visit, we ordered margarita pizza and Milanese chicken, both of which were delicious. On this visit, we chose to sit at the bar. The service was excellent, and the bartender was friendly. All of the staff were nice. Even when the servers were passing out the different dishes, my friend asked each server what each dish was, and they were happy to tell us. I went to Olivia for brunch and had a good experience. We ordered a lot of things to share for the table. The server claimed the espresso martini was the best in town and I have to agree! Very smooth and tasty. The croissant was insane - had to order 2 of them to share. The ambiance was very nice and bright - lots of natural sunlight shining through the interior of the restaurant. I deducted 1 star from the review because the server stated that "the service charge goes to other employees of the restaurant" besides for him. Which was a false statement - the gratuity goes to him. I believe he said that to get extra gratuity from us which I didn't appreciate. Besides that - overall tasty. Was happy with my first visit to Olivia Tampa so I took my hubby this time. It is a drive for him to drive to Tampa. I recommended the mini rigatoni and I was excited to order the short rib this time. He was not as thrilled as I was with the rigatoni and the short rib I ordered didn't have thwase texture of a beef short rib. It was very lean and stringy although it tasted good and management was gracious to offer me another entree. My partner and I went here for a nice dinner. The decor, atmosphere, and service were great! Our waitress did not rush us and was very attentive. For an appetizer we ordered the goat cheese sformato. This dish is a good shareable dish and you get bread with it. The bread was good and it was nice to spread the goat cheese on the bread. For an entree I ordered the soppressata pizza and the Tuscan kale salad. The pizza was a nice size and tasty. I would have added more sauce and more pieces of soppressata to the pizza. I loved the Tuscan Kale salad. I thought the flavors were great and the portion size was perfect. I did have leftovers because I was a bit too ambitious with the pizza and the salad for the main meal. My partner got the squid ink casarecce. It was good and the pasta was great and flavorful. He would order it again. For dessert we got the seasonal gelato which was banana caramel. The portion was big and the flavors were great. It tasted more like and ice cream than a gelato but over all I enjoyed it! We will be back!! My only critique will be Olivia needs to figure out if they will have a tap for beer or just sell cans. I have visited Olivia twice during brunch and dinner. When I went for dinner I was told they were out of my first choice of beer Peroni. I got a local beer and they said it was in a can. The beer came out in a short cocktail or short water glass and not a beer glass. When I went for brunch at Olivia I ordered a beer and again they were out of Peroni. Then our waiter said the tap is broken and they need a part to fix it so everything in is cans. This time I ordered a beer and it was in a beer glass. The two times I visited were a few weeks apart so there is something going on concerning beer service. Olivia needs to be in stock off all beer offerings at all times and figure out if they are can only or only tap for beer. For a high end restaurant you would think this would be figured out. We made a call to see if we could be squeezed in after arriving to Tampa and the hostess was kind enough to give us a table. Overall I give them a solid 4 stars. We were warmly greeted immediately by a friendly and professional staff. Our main server was very kind and explained some of the items on the menu. The food was very delicious. We had the garlic bread, which was an appetizer. Sooooo delish, I could've eaten the entire plate!!! For the price, I felt like they could've provided more. It comes with four thick slices of bread. My daughters got a drink similar to an Arnold Palmer with lemonade and tea. They said it was good. We ordered a mini pepperoni pizza, two orders of the squid ink casarecce and I had the agnolotti - everything was delicious. The only critique about the food was that the casarecce pasta was ever so slightly under cooked but not to the point where it affected the quality of the meal. My kids still loved it. I didn't give them 5 stars for a couple of reasons. The main one: it's very noisy. Although the decor and feel are very nice, it gets very chaotic - especially where we were seated, which was right behind the server station. It was hard having a conversation because it was so loud. The service was on the slow side. It took the server a long time to get to us to take our orders. The food actually came out fast once the orders were placed. It's definitely recommended to make reservations. That process was pretty easy online, however, be prepared to provide a credit card to book your reservation. The website also indicates that a cancellation fee of $25 per person would be applied for canceled reservations. Complementary valet parking is available. We dined there before the dinner crowd, so parking was plenty. read more

Our go-to spot for a cute brunch with good food! We tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries which was delicious. The chicken was very crispy, and the tanginess of the slaw and pickle paired really well with the sweetness of the honey and sesame roll. The truffle fries were fried well with plenty of truffle. We also tried the Honey & Ham Pizza, which was sweet and salty, and overall amazing. I added a bit of pepper flakes and the spice added so well to the honey on the pizza. The dough was also very fluffy and crispy. The service was also great, with the servers taking the time to answer our questions and checking in on us from time to time.
