I ordered 75 fruit tarts and a quarter crispy sheet cake from Olympic bakery. They have the option to order online, but I called in the order instead. William, who I believe is the owner(?), was kind and assisted me with my order. The order required a 50% deposit beforehand and the rest paid at the time of pickup. The fruit tarts were pretty good, although the crust could be better as it felt a little underbaked and doughy. They actually tasted better the following day after the crust had a chance to absorb moisture from the custard. Presentation looked nice, although the fruits weren't very sweet. The crispy skin sheet cake is always a nice and light treat! I'd be interested in trying the flavored crispy skin sheet cakes in the future.

Quite possibly one of the best mango cakes in SGV! It was hubby's birthday and he loves the light angel cake with a good ratio of frosting to cake. I was going to get a small cake slice but luckily Olympic Bakery had a fresh batch of mango cakes available as I walked in. The owners were super helpful and even included a happy birthday sign. They were really friendly and sweet. The cake tasted amazing. Very light and packed with fresh mango chunks and slices. The frosting wasn't too heavy. Every bite was scrumptious and soft like biting into a cloud. I will definitely be back to try other flavors. This is a small shop in a strip mall and has plenty of parking. I got lucky with getting the cake that I wanted by simply walking in. I suggest pre-ordering your cakes a day or two before the day you need it.

Very organized bakery with a great assortment of cakes, breads, cookies, savory items like chinese radish cakes. The lady that worked the counter was efficient and polite. This is a great place to pick up a quick cake or some pastries for the family. They even have sheet cakes you can order. It's not a very big bakery and no tables or seats, so it's a grab and go kind of bakery.

If you're looking for a Hong Kong-style fresh fruit cream cake with a light, airy chiffon style cake, with layers of stabilized whipped cream (rather than heavy buttercream), and an abundance of fresh, often glazed, fruit - then this is the place for you!!! Overly sweet cakes have their time and place. But not at this particular event. I needed lightly sweetened to appease my audience of mostly wiser individuals. Called 1 day in advance for a 1/4 sheet mango cake order and William answered, he got the details and requested a deposit via Zelle for the cake. They do have a website with pricing and pictures and it looks like you can place orders on there too but I just did it the old fashioned way and called it in. The cake was moist, only a tad sweet and the fruits were fresh and delicious. This is our 2nd time getting a cake here and it the price and taste do not disappoint. In addition, I purchased 2 breads to go and I'm glad I did! Both were so freaking good. The pineapple bun bread and this green onion, sesame seed, pork sung, butter bread. So delish! William says there's a possibility that another location will open in Hacienda Heights so fingers crossed! Happy Lunar Year!

Honestly, I've driven past this place so many times and never noticed it until we stopped to shop at Super A next door. It's a super unassuming, small bakery, but it's clearly a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we walked in! They specialize in sponge cakes, and the shelves are fully stocked with all different kinds. We tried a few things, but the standout was definitely the Grenade Cake. It's got this great crispy top that gives it a nice texture which is definitely unique. We also picked up an ube sponge cake. It was incredibly fluffy and light, and the flavor was spot on. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from if ube isn't your thing. The service was friendly and efficient, too. Definitely a solid little hidden gem in Temple City if you're looking for fresh, airy cakes that aren't overly sweet!

Olympic Bakery did an amazing job on the half-sheet mango cake I pre-ordered for my coworker's birthday! William Shih, the owner, is incredibly attentive and offers great pricing. The mango cake was perfectly fresh -- not too sweet, with a light and super moist sponge. It had just the right balance of flavor and texture. Highly recommend!

    Quarter sheet Mango Cake!

I was asked to get a mango cake for "Mei's" birthday. As I have never tried mango cake before, I googled ,"best mango cake" and cross referenced with yelp. So, that is how I chose Olympic Bakery for "Mei's" birthday cake. I called and inquired about a quarter sheet cake. They were friendly over the phone and answered all the questions I had. I said I would call back to order and forgot as I was having lunch. Later, I drove to the bakery to pre-order the cake. The bakery is in a strip mall and somewhat hidden. It's small in size but has lots of different breads. I ended up getting a few on top of the mango cake. I loved the fact that this bakery is family owned and my cake was made to order. This family business should not be overlooked! Fast forward, everyone loved the cake and there was more than enough for 25 people. Everyone mentioned that it was just the right amount of fluffiness and sweetness. The sweetness was minimal and that's was what I was going for! Overall, the cake was good and it made the birthday gal happy!

Stoped by for some cake! They have plenty of cake ready to pick up. We grabbed mango one to eat with our lunch celebration at a nearby restaurant. We also got some baked items as well: buy five get one free! Staff helped described the items and included a cake cutter and celebration topper.

It was my first time here, and this place was pretty busy. A lot of people were picking up cakes and buying cakes like the mango cake that was freshly made. It's not too big on the inside, and there was only one lady who was helping everyone. They had a special going on, but 5 get one free. I purchased a bunch of snacks for me and the family. One of my favorites is the pineapple cookie, which has actual pineapple on the inside. They had sponge cakes and peanut/ sesame candy. They also had bbq bun, which is always a go-to. They also had a mochi walnut cake that was delicious.

I ordered the cake a few days before for my daughter's birthday. The cake I ordered was a sesame cake with crispy layers. I called again a few minutes after, asking if I add cream/frosting, how much would it be? The man that picked up the phone said "it will be an extra $20 with some fruits and frosting on top". Since the cake with crispy layers is only $30, I said no thanks, I will keep my original order, crispy layers without the cream. Fast forward to yesterday when my family member picked up the cake , they made my cake sesame WITHOUT the crispy layers, and no fruits inside, with cream and fruit on top. Of course it costs $50! WTH!? They said I could reject the cake, but since it's so last minute, I couldn't find another cake for my daughter. She was disappointed with the cake because she loves the crispy layers. Note to the owner, write down what the customer wants and not from your memory. This is the first and last time I will come to this bakery.

It's fun here cuz you can get a little shopping cart and collect your breads. Kinda went crazy and got a bunch to try. The Black Forest bread was topped with toasted almonds, had jiggly thick sweet custard, and a layer of semi sweet chocolate. The hades bread was the only kinda dry bread and was filled with bittersweet chocolate and had a thin sweet Oreo crust on the bottom like a cheesecake would. The pork floss bread had a swirl of sweet savory pork floss and was topped with nutty crunchy sesame seeds. The garlic bread was really good, soft, and had a streak of yummy, savory, garlicy, cheesy goodness. They even had a cilantro pork floss cake?! Wasn't getting any cilantro flaves but the cake was nicely spongy, light, vanillay, and had a swirl of pork floss that actually worked with it. Their black sesame cake was also very spongy, jiggly, light, and airy with good black sesame flaves. They even let you try some free samples of bread which my grandma really enjoyed. Overall this place is pretty good. Black Forest $4.50 Hades $6 Pork floss $5 Banana cream $4.50 Garlic bread $4.50 Cilantro pork floss sponge $5 Black sesame sponge $3.75

3/16/26 Had to try Dukes after having breakfast at Moffett's. Great selection of pastries, service…read morecould use a little finesse, clean, modern ambiance. The pastry case was delightful n organized. I took photos of the ones I bought. Apparently, the lady at the counter has very limited English skills, friendly enough but could really use some upgrade in her customer service skills. I value customer service a great deal--that's how I become a regular patron. Thankfully there are other Duke Bakery locations to visit if the pastries happen to strike my fancy. There are about 3 sets of seating (tables with chairs & cushioned booth type to enjoy your treats. No outdoor seating available. Parking is shared among other businesses, so it can get hairy at peak times In this shop, there 3 different vendors, not just Duke's, there's a noodle shop to the right (if facing the counter) a smoothie shop in the middle & Duke's on the left. The pastry shelves encompass the majority of the space. The jury is still out re: pastry taste, bought some for friends.
