I was looking for some quality beef sticks, so I went searching in Google. Found that Omaha had sticks sold in their store. That's how I found myself inside:) It was a tiny, cute store. All frozen freezer case items. I was just there for the beef sticks. The worker tried to get me to purchase other meats. I was not interested...just came for a beefy snack. And though the snack was expensive to me, it was the freshEST beef sticks I have ever enjoyed. It was truly unbelievable how soft and flavorful these beef sticks were. I stopped into the Orland Park location after shopping at a nearby store and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I've never been in a brick-and-mortar store, just purchased the online products, and I'm glad I went. Juliet, the sales associate, was super patient with me and very sweet. She pointed out a lot of different combo items that when purchased together saved a ton of money. The store itself was clean and cool and dimly lit. I'll definitely go back instead of buying online. ROTTEN customer service here. The sales associate "JAY" was very rude, sarcastic and spoke to my father w a condescending tone. I'd noticed that he was cranky with other customers too. When we asked about price differences and certain deals he said with an annoyed tone "If you'd look...you'd see that the prices are posted right in front of you on wall and freezer!" Sorry that my dad is a senior with hearing and vision probs. My first time visiting Omaha Steaks, my review is for the customer service at Orland Park. Being my first time I wanted some direction. Jeanne was my sales person and was so rude. Told me several times that if I wanted to shop she would wait on someone else. Was in a big hurry and would talk to me as she was walking away and when I couldn't hear her she told me this is how it is during the holidays I better keep up. Very rude and condescending. There is meats, side dishes, vegetable dishes and desserts. The meat is very good and tender, bought the beef shish ka bobs which was recommended by Jay S. He steered me to that one because it also has the vegetables and not just meat on the skewer. I did have a post which had 50% all frozen foods, also when you spend $50 you receive a $15 gift card, which Jay forgot to give me and didn't mention it after he took the postcard. I kind of feel like I was mislead by the employee. This is not the first time this has happened. I don't know how Omaha Steaks trains their employees but I do feel it is NOT to benefit their customers. They posted signs for specials, some of which were more than 50% off. So, I thought, after giving the postcard which was in my bosses name, I would be getting either the sale price which was lower instead of the 50% off. He made no mention of the special pricing, The 50% off price for this one item was actually $8 more. I did not realize until after I got home to look at the receipt. I alos had to call and tell Jay S that I did not receive my $15 gift card so he told me my name would be on it and he will put it on the board in the employee back room for when I come in again. Hopefully it will be there. I don't like the feeling of being taken advantage of. The food is great but the prices are steep. read more

I've had the sirloin steak that I thought were just okay. They come in a box of four, and they aren't cheap, but were just adequate. I've also had the chateau briant, which was quite good, but again fairly expensive. I actually think that Whole Foods beef tenderloin is far better for the money. read more

I went here to purchase a gift. The guy working was so rude! He acted like we were bothering him by being there. There were no other customers in the store. After I chose my items and he was packing it up, he proceeded to make rude comments to us. I told him never mind the order and walked out. I should start by saying I actually like the omaha steak products. My review is based solely on this location and their customer service. I have attempted to shop here multiple times and each time have left frustrated and swearing I won't go back. My 1st experience in this store was terrifying. I took my 3 small kids with. I told them the two younger ones to sit on the chair they had (at the time) near the front window. The man working yelled at them to get off it that it was broken. A 'don't sit' or "chair broken" sign might have been helpful. It's a chair...they're for sitting last I checked. They then walked over to a table to look at the book of food (pictures) to entertain themselves, he told them not to do that, the table wobbles. Then they followed me to the counter and there was a stray razer blade sitting out! My toddler grabbed it! This experience quickly became the shopping trip of terror. They were either going to be impailed by a broken chair, smashed by a faulty table or sliced I guess. I was just happy to get my food and get out. The next time i went I had a gift card and I tried to look past the fact that it took the man working about 10 min. to figure it out and tell me it was "an old gift card" (it was purchased w/ in the same calendar year...not sure what the problem was but I didn't have my kids with so it wasn't a big deal) and then he proceeded to just have an over all bad attitude as if he wanted me out of the store. The last time I went in it was the same man...same bad attitude. I'm here to spend my money....I don't expect supurb customer service but a "hi how can I help you" and a "thank you have a nice day" can really go a long way. How has this guy been working there for so many years? I should add, on the trip of terror, I did report it to corporate and they didn't seem to care either so that was a bit off putting.
