Hi all, not really that big of Yelper, but after my experience at Omar's Pizzeria, I was compelled to write a review. We had Omar's Pizza at our work the other day and although it was a simple pie (1/2 cheese, 1/2 pepperoni), I was absolutely blown away. Unlike the "big box" pizza places, this pie from Omar's did not come with the necessary 15 napkin usage for the grease. The pizza was perfect in the sense that it was flavorful and the crust was to die for. Not too much sauce or cheese, just the right amount, which makes eating a lot easier and cleaner. We also had a side of Buffalo Wings, it was in between a medium an medium-hot. Saucy, but not to where it was dripping all over the place. Rather have more sauce than less!! Omar is a great guy!! He is super nice, very professional, and takes pride in his establishment. He has a genuine character about him and it is a refreshing change to see that owners care about their customers. He knows how a business runs; happy customers and great food = successful business. I am customer for life, keep in going Omar!! read more

I've had pizza all over the u.s. and including a few countries, and def around california ive gone to plenty of places that chase the holy grail of making the best authentic n.y. style pizza, and Omar's is as GOOD as it GETS! The closest you'll find to an authentic slice of NY Style pizza in the Greater Los Angeles/ Southern California area. We came into here after trying and being sorely disappointed in Zelo's and we were happy to say Omar's blows Zelo's out of the water! We also had a long discussion with the ambitious young owner Omar, whos as friendly as it gets and likes to hear what ya have to say or think. Hes got a background that roots out of New York and uses a family recipe for the sauce thats unbelievably good. The pizza was everything i expected out of a N.Y. In my opinion this is the best pizza place in town. I was never a New Yorker but as far as I can tell these are huge NY style slices and they are delicious. The different topping combos they offer on their menu are great. The puttanesca and all of the different white pizzas are my favorite. Tonight I am trying the cheese calzone for the first time. They are giving me one cooked and one par-baked so I can freeze it for later. Take and bake pizza is the best! read more

Straight up great pizza here. First time going here today an ordered online through the Eat24 website. Your order goes through a 3rd party and then they're suppose to call the restaurant to place the order. When I arrived at the place Eat24 hadn't called them yet so they didn't get a chance to start my order. Omar said it was a very common issue and he started my order right away when I arrived. He even hooked me up with a free slice of pizza and a drink just for my troubles. Honestly a really great guy and some great food. Get the Omar's Special. You won't regret it. read more

Just finished eating my big ass cheese pepperoni pizza! and still have 3 slices left. (shared with my little brother and little sister, and let me tell ya my little sister can eat) I ordered through grubhub and took me to 24 hr delivery whatvr it was called and said my order will arrive in 45-60 minutes. But it was actually 35 min of waiting! I also got to suicide wings, but they were not even spicy? but good price for 10 wings. Last but not least, i ordered the garlic knots.! very good. but a little greasy. Still love it.! the delivery guy brought our food in a nice black acura! which has nothing to do with this rating. haha anyway. Yea, about this place, it's pretty amazing!!!! We came here because of the excellent Yelp reviews. Walking in, I wanted to turn around. The place is bare and gives the appearance that they may be closing down soon, but looks can be deceiving. We had 3 slices of pizza. Some basil tomato feta with white sauce, a meat pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and something else, and the chicken BBQ! All were exceptional the crust is thin and crispy, good crush good flavor. The BBQ chicken had a sauce that's a cross between BBQ and pizza sauce, not too sweet or too much like BBQ, very good balance. The other two pizzas were just as good. The bread balls were a little tough, otherwise the flavor was there. Would be better if they were softer. The price?!?!? OMG! Two sodas, 3 slices of pizza and bread balls with a red sauce and ranch on the side....$13!!!! I feel as though they under charge. The service is good. Felt like we were regulars. A few words here and there nice warm inviting feeling. Not formal, just comfortable. WE WILL BE BACK!!!! read more

We ordered 1\2 pepperoni and mushroom and 1\2 farmer's market. Both were decent but not extraordinary. In fact, the farmer's pizza was just your run of the mill veggie pizza with onions, peppers, and olives. All in all, I expected more will keep looking for our fav neighborhood pizza place. read more

Decided to try this place and wasn't impressed, Pizza was thin with no cheese and hardly any toppings. By the time it arrived it was soggy (1.20 min delivery) I also found the Chicken and ravioli to be really bland and tasteless. read more

OMG OMG OMG!!!! Wish this place had a chain in Tucson Arizona! The best hot wings we've had since the Anchor Bar in Buffalo New York in 2009! The pizza was Awesome, the # 3 incredible! Spending a couple months in Arcadia, really was hoping to find a decent Pizza place for our regular take out, (a couple times a week). Omar's is NOT it!!! Although the young man whom took our order and delivered as well was quite polite, he did bring a delicious can of diet coke, (hence the one star). Our chicken wings at a steep $8.00 for smallest order, WERE NOT EDIBLE, PIZZA was COLD. I would have forgiven if had it not been that when I called management to request a refund for the wings, I was told, "that's how our wings come". I explained that I was happy with the other mediocre cold food items, however, not a single cold gristle choking wing was edible, (I even offered to bring them back to the restaurant). I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT The YOUNG MAN FIND A FAMILY THAT CARES ABOUT the quality of the food they serve, and go work for them... A-OK for thin crust pizza. I wouldn't say this is the best LA-NY style pizza, but it's decent. Definitely a low key, no frills place. The draw is that it's cheap, generous on toppings, and satisfying! read more

I have found my new pizza spot. Not only did I get an attentive employee ringing me up, but I had someone actually getting to know me while I was waiting. My pizza was ready at the exact time they said it would be. It tasted AMAZING. I had the puttanesca and the BBQ chicken pizza. So often forgotten is the fact that pizza is about the crust; it's not perfect here but far better than most Cali joints.

i've ordered from here several times and food/service is fantastic.. if anyone lives close, omar himself can deliver to you personally.. i love having certain toppings with my pizza, and the omar special fits just that criteria.. pepperoni, sausage, cheese, garlic.. very few staff, just 3 i believe, so anyone going in will get a very personal welcome parking is in a plaza between 2nd and 5th.. unfortunately, the plaza's driveways are not very lower car friendly so keep that in mind only one slight variable i should address.. for pizzas like this, the bread is what makes the pizza.. it must have the right consistency and flavor, or else the whole pizza is just off.. with omar's, the flavor is just right, but the consistency is not quite there.. just a tad dry.. otherwise, their toppings and mix of ingredients are spot on read more

I don't eat carbs, but I will for PIZZA from Omar's. Tonight was my first visit and we ordered half Bronx and half Puttanesca. Loved it. Toppings were fresh and tasty and the crust was perfectly thin, crispy yet chewy....even my picky 5 year old son enjoyed his single (large) slice of cheese pizza and he normally don't like pizza. Wow! Husband had spaghetti and meatballs, I had baked ziti. We shared a free slice of Marguerite pizza (courtesy of yelp!). Everything was fresh, piping hot to our table, and most importantly: seriously delicious! Our check was less than $15.00! What??!!!! I don't know about you, but that doesn't happen to us very often. One of my favorite pizza places in the San Gabriel Valley. I have been ordering pizza from Omar's for the past five years and have always been satisfied with the food. Went to dine in this evening and they were out of individual slices for cheese and pepperoni. The chef was very nice and made two slices on the spot for my five year old son. Came by here tonight with the family. We found this place thanks to the flyers stuck under our windshield wipers. So glad we came in! The pizza was delicious and had a traditional crispy and chewy crust. The staff was really nice, friendly, and appreciative for our business. Give Omar's a try! Pizza is as close to NYC as you can get in the area. Great deal for two slices/drink for $6! We had the margherita, Omar's special, pepperoni and puttanesca...all were great!! I'm wondering if any of the people who said this is like New York pizza have ever been to New York! I grew up in the New York/New Jersey area and I've had some amazing pizza. This was not one of them. Yes, New York pizza has a thin crust, but it also has to have a rich sauce and lots of cheese, so much that the grease literally drips off the tip when you pick up a slice. If you're turned off by the grease, you can always dab it with a napkin. New York pizza also has to be foldable. You fold the two ends at the wide side of the pizza triangle together and make a little pizza sandwich. Omar's couldn't fold easily. New York pizza dough is rich with flavor, nicely browned on top and bottom. Authentic pizza dough is still flung in the air as the chef widens the dough to the appropriate size. This dough was NOT browned at all on the top, and was clearly rolled out instead of tossed. (Whether you use your hands or a rolling pin, neither is the authentic method.) The toppings were also lacking at Omar's. The sausage lacked heat and flavor. The pepperoni didn't have that peppery, spicy flavor it's supposed to. And then, it came cold. Well, not exactly cold, but the dough was cool to the touch, and the inside was barely lukewarm. To add insult to injury, I called the shop immediately to complain and was told that the manager was out but he would call me back the next day. That was 4 days ago. It's ok. I won't be going back there. (I gave this 2 stars because, despite what I wrote, the pizza was edible. But I definitely won't be going back there.) read more

Not sure how this place holds a 4* rating. I tried this place a few months back because my brother lives near here. We ordered a whole pizza, half supreme and half BBQ chicken, because they ran out of single slices. Big mistake. The pizza comes overloaded with toppings to the point where the dough is extremely soggy. Some people might like excessive toppings, but I'm a fan of pizza with a crisp. We struggled to eat two slices and ended up tossing the rest. Safe to say we will not be back. read more

It looks like NY pizza, but in terms of flavor lacks in a good dough recipe and crust. It's thin, and crispy but once you reach a crust it tastes like a toasty cracker. Toppings are ok. I recommend the Bronx Special Pizza if anything. read more
