We got a taro milk for the kids, jasmine milk tea with tiramisu cream, and a uji green milk tea with cheese cream. 30% sugar was a perfect amount of sweetness. Both David and I agreed that the tea drinks are more on the creamy side; he described it like a milk shake. The tiramisu is on the sweet side. I liked my uji green milk tea, which is a mix of matcha and jasmine. Honestly I couldn't really taste the matcha, but I read in other reviews that the matcha is more pronounced in the matcha cortado. I'd want to try the jasmine milk tea or gyukuro milk tea next time! This isn't as tea tasting as Boba Bliss or Chicha, which are my favorites in the Bay Area, but it's still very good for those who like creamy boba drinks. Drinks and toppings are good, and wait is 30 minutes end to end, but it's expected at this location. The reason for the one star is I (one person) had purchased 3 drinks (on the way home for me and roomies) and when I went to pickup was informed that only 4 drinks got a drink carrier. It was mildly infuriating, like at once no big deal, I had pockets I could fortunately put my keys and phone into so was able to hug two drinks with one arm and carry the third with the other, but at the same time I felt insulted and disrespected as a customer that just paid $7 a drink. Like okay, upsell me on every single drink (was asked if I wanted a topping on each drink except the one that I already added boba to, and was asked with each milk based drink if I wanted cheese foam with that; yes, it's a technique that both assists the customer in not forgetting add-ons but also does increase sales) but don't inform me at the register that by the way, we only give complimentary drink holders to people that buy 4 drinks so if you want one, you can pay for one now. I mean, if they're going to be that specific, they might as well go all the way. Chi cha charges 25 cents per drink holder that holds two drinks and yes the cashier says so at the end of the transaction and asks whether you want to buy. Plus if this information happens at the register if you decide not to buy you can then prep for the fact that you won't have a drink holder. Walk to your vehicle and drop stuff off. So mad I bought a gift card at the same transaction cause I would just swear off Omomo now and call it a day. They don't care about any one single customer anyways. Clearly. read more

This place was poppin and for a good reason! Drinks are amazing! Place was nicely decorated and very busy for a weekday in the early afternoon! Very diverse menu and lots of seating outside. Drinks came out pretty quick for being busy and were decently priced. I ordered the Ceylon Milk Tea w/ Cheese Foam and boba! Sooooo good! Definitely had an Earl Grey flavor and wasn't too sweet for being the regular sweetness level. The cheese foam was also such a delicious added flavor that was creamy and kind of sour and kind of sweet. Boba was perfectly cooked as well. I do wish there was a bit more ice to the drink because it wasn't as cold, and the ice melted quickly, but an overall amazing drink! 5/5 I definitely recommend trying this place if you want a quality boba drink! Ever heard of seaside for the vibes? This is literally my alternative for it. There's a nice area to sit outside and just hangout with your friends. However, there is no seating inside the store itself, so if it's hot outside, it's more of a get your drink and go somewhere else place. The teas here are really good, and my go to is always the angry matcha with cheese foam on top of it or I would get the matcha cortado. The fruit tornados are also great in the summer if you feeling something cold and a bit more refreshing. I will say though that be prepared for a long line!! I was told to get the omomo matcha & the strawberry tornado as it was apparently very good. The omomo matcha (50% sugar level) was in fact very good. Good quality matcha & not too sweet. The strawberry tornado (50% sugar level) had a lighter strawberry taste and it was kinda bland. It didn't have a strong strawberry flavor. Since the omomo matcha was very good, I decided to order another drink: mango tornado. The mango tornado (100% sugar level) compared to the strawberry tornado was way better. Idk if it's because of the sugar level difference or the fruits being used, but the mango was sweet and refreshing. It was super crowded and since I know omomo is a popular boba spot here in LA, the 2hr drive was worth it. I came to the Irvine area this past weekend to visit my sister in nursing school. She mentioned that this place was a good and popular spot in the area and since I had a few hours before my flight back home, decided to wait in line to see what the hype was about. I had extremely low expectations waiting in line. Coming from the East Bay Area, I personally believe Boba Bliss in Dublin/Castro Valley has the best boba drinks I've ever had so I was already coming in with the mentality that it would not be better. I ordered a Uji Green Milk Tea with 80% sugar, less ice and boba while my sister ordered a strawberry green tea with 0% ice, lychee and boba. I have to say, I was absolutely blown away with how delicious my drink was. I have to say that my tea was one of the most flavorful milk teas I've ever had and the matcha really enhanced the jasmine flavor. On top of that, the boba was cooked to absolute perfection and was soft and the right amount of sugar. We waited for about 35 minutes and had around 60ish people in front of us but once we got our drink, the wait was so entirely worth it. I'm glad I was able to experience such a delight of a boba shop that lives up to its hype and highly recommend anyone try their go to drinks at their boba shops back home to compare. My place is still #1 back home in Nor Cal but OMOMO deserves to be called #1 in So Cal. read more

One day, I finally did wait and got the OMOMO matcha, the ice blended drink mixed with crème brûlée, regular sweetness, with boba. The boba was really warm and soft (until they got too cold). I ordered a mango tornado, which I finally got 10 minutes later after ordering. I ordered it at 30% sweet. The mango tornado had a very strong mango taste. It felt like I was just biting into a mango, except in liquidy ice form. I also realized that the drink tasted very heavy on dairy and wasn't able to finish all of it myself. Probably the best boba shop that's been going around Orange County and now expanding for a while now. I have tried many of their drinks and all are dessert like. I had their Camo Thai, and even at 50% sweet it was too much for me. I think personally 25% for any of their drinks is perfect but it kinda depends if you're getting a drink with foam or not. I've had their other drinks in the past like their Omomo Matcha and Mango Tornado, both good from what I remember. This location is in a popular plaza with Wanderlust and Trader Joe's, so parking can be tough especially on weekends. Lots of younger folks were in line and the interior wasn't that special. Just plain concrete and some seating although it isn't the most comfortable. Glad they don't charge tax so the price you see is what you pay!
