The food and service were very good. Location is right on Ocean Drive. Drinks were excellent and very large, especially for the price. Served as S-M or L ( 20-35 or 50 ozs). Atmosphere is typical of small hotel restaurants on Ocean Dr. but they are NOT affiliated with the Majestic hotel in spite of the entrance and check in at the back of the inside of the restaurant. If it's cool enough outside, that is the place to sit, drink and/or eat, so you can people watch. A favorite pastime of mine. Make sure you ask about the daily special! read more

My fiancé and I are down here for vacation and we were walking around looking for a place to eat for dinner. We walked by The Ocean 7 at the Majestic and it caught our attention right away! The hostess made sure we got seated next to a heat lamp and there was a table available right away. Our server Jeffrey was on point with all his food and drink suggestions! He was very attentive and made our dining experience even more memorable. I got the caribbean shrimp and my fiancé got the large seafood paella. Definitely enough food! Sat at the bar which had room for four people. Small establishment but was relatively busy. Didn't order any food just went for a quick drink. Friend of mine ordered a Mai tai which ended up messing up his stomach. The bartender made a custom drink for me which was okay. They have two sizes for the drink I went with the smaller option which ended up with the Bill being about $50 bucks. I wouldn't go back. Just go to a brewery instead. read more

Spending $400+ for a table of 10 people. No split checks. Cuban sandwiches are cold in the center. Hair in the food and the response was "I'll take care of it" - server took the piece of food the hair was attached to and said "I'll feed it to the birds." Did not take drink order for one person at the table of ten- just walked away. Later took her food order first, then came back and asked her if she had ordered her food. We all know this place is an overpriced and bland tourist trap, but you get the bonus of being treated like you are an annoyance on top of that. In A Nutshell: -On Ocean 7 Cafe is a nice sidewalk restaurant on Ocean Blvd in South Beach. -The staff was pretty nice to let me park my rented bicycle at my table so I could keep an eye on it. -After riding around in the A.M., I wanted to grab a nice breakfast so this place looked good. -I ordered the shrimp & grits w/ extra sausages on the side along w/ the standard cup of joe (coffee). -Everything tasted excellent, especially the shrimp & grits! Absolutely love this restaurant! We were visiting Miami for the weekend and came across this wonderful place. The food and drinks were excellent! We got two jumbo margaritas they were sweet & strong but we couldn't tell immediately as it snuck up on us! The food was incredible! We all got different entrees, I got the lasagna my friends got quesadilla, chicken Alfredo, steak & potatoes etc. Everything was delicious including the hookah flavor! We got strawberry melon and it was absolutely refreshing! The manager/owner "not sure" was a very nice man! Overall it's a restaurant with great vibe and location. Right next to south beach with great views. Food overall is ok. We found a fly in the drink and a hair in the oyster. I don't recommend ceviche. Lots of seafood but flavor is mainly lemony. Caribbean shrimp and paella are pretty good. We dined here several times due the convenience of it's location on the lower level of our hotel. Mostly amazing people, kind and attentive. It was always busy but they were efficient. Only one bad experience and I believe it was just a matter of someone having a bad moment and not reflective of the entire establishment. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting several of the staff, especially the gentleman who is from France and shared some of his stories with us on our last night in the city. Food was tasty and presented with pride. They deal with a lot of crowds and a level of rowdiness but at all times remained professional. Would return again and again. read more

If you come here expect to get forced into providing a 5 star review. The waiter hovers over you until it's complete. That said, take overall yelp rating with a grain of salt. I ordered the paella and it honestly wasn't bad. I give the dish 4 stars; however, there was a sneaky service charge (I'm not sure if that's standard practice in this area for a 2 top) that I was not made aware of. While visiting miami On Ocean 7 was on the list of my want to try. Our waiter Jeffrey recommend the paella since we both wanted lobster. This thing is gigantic and could feed four people. Jeffrey is a work horse he may have been waiting on 6-8 tables at the same time and I give him lots of credit for that. We had a large watermelon magarita and plenty of shots. Cool little Place to sit outside, have a cocktail, have dinner, and do some serious people watching on Ocean Drive. The food was surprisingly good. We have their large seafood platter which offered lobster, crab, shrimp. Their martinis were very good and I think we tried 405 different ones. Service was great. Arrived at 840 after being solicited off the street.... we waited and watched as two other tables were brought from the back and setup.... we still waited. Not once did anyone come take our order or ask us what we wanted to drink. When I approached the manager to let him know what happened over 2p minutes later he could care less.... his response was, its a different area, literally right next to us.... This was the perfect little spot to enjoy breakfast on the beach. I as celebrating my birthday weekend in a nearby hotel and wanted to relax at the beach. We walked one block from our hotel and ran into one of On Ocean 7 Cafe's waitresses who started telling us about the menu. It sounded good and we were hungry so we decided to stay. The restaurant wasn't crowded that time of morning. It was around 11:30am. We sat outside which was really nice. The day was sunny and slightly warm with a gentle breeze, a perfect combination for patio seating. The only busyness we experienced was the traffic from the hotel guest coming and going. It had a lot to do with where we were seated. Had we gotten a table away from the entrance the foot traffic might not have been so noticable. I ordered a fruit salad, omelette, english muffins, and a very delicious pineapple drink. I was pleased with my meal, nothing to get excited about but my drink was fresh, not too sweet, and the temperature was exactly what I wanted. Our waitress was helpful, not too pushy and intrusive, and not too distant from being ready to serve when we needed her. After eating we walked right across the street and hung out at the beach for a little. I'm kind of surprised about the low reviews! My friends and I had a FANTASTIC time here. We stopped in for a drink while walking down south beach, and they ended up having a 2-for-1 happy hour deal on their HUGE margaritas and cocktails. We couldn't pass the deal up! The drinks were outstanding and QUITE strong - not sure I remember getting home that afternoon. I also ordered the Tropical Salad and I LOVED it. Our waitress was incredibly kind and was always present if we needed something. We also got to chat with the manager for awhile and he's a really cool dude! Was looking for a bite to eat on Ocean Drive and decided to give this place a try. We weren't too terribly hungry and each had an appetizer, which was filling enough to be our meal. I had the Bruschetta Pomodo, and my friend had the mussels. The bruschetta came with 4 pieces and it did the trick, but wasn't anything to die for. It was a bit acidic. My friend enjoyed her mussels. Keep in mind they automatically add a 20% service fee to your check. Our two apps were $30. Not bad compared to the numerous other restaurants we walked passed and checked out their menus. Many other patrons had GIANT drinks- which were $35 on the menu (many people shared them with another person) and regular sized drinks were $25. read more

They seated us within minutes with multitudes of smiles and hospitality. Alex is the best waiter I have come across! Very informative off the menu and the drinks. Suggested the mojitos and I was not disappointed! Perfect location, right across from the beach and beautiful atmosphere, and dance worthy music! One of the best outdoor dining on Ocean Dr. FYI be careful of the drinks. I thought they were watered down but later realized the bartender showed me nothing but love! Definitely not kid friendly at all. We had a stroller in which we couldn't fit through anywhere so we had to sit on the edge of the balcony and leave our stroller like halfway down the ramp. We placed the high chair in which it blocked half the way for our server so every time he came with food/drink I was anxious that he will spill it on my son. Food was mediocre. When I am in Miami, I always stop at Ocean 7 Cafe. I love the relaxing, sophisticated vibe. I love seeing the ocean and people watching while I enjoy a delicious meal. On this trip, I tried the paella and my goodness, it was so good! it was a generous portion but I could not stop eating it. I finished it all. We went there on Sunday morning for breakfast, and it took them 5 mins to serve us water, 15 mins to order food, and also another 35 mins to serve us the food. The food we ordered wasnt anything that requires long cooking time- just an egg Benedict and smoked salmon bagel. Throughout the entire dining experience, no one had ever asked us how the food was, nor followed up with the status on the food with the kitchen. we also had to ask twice for a refill on water.
